Russia Says Iran-Based Bombers Struck Militants in Syria: TASS

(Reuters) The Russian Defense Ministry said on Tuesday that long-range Russian bombers based in Iran had struck a number of targets inside Syria.

The prophecy in Ezekiel 38-39, which many Bible Eschatology students believe could very well be describing the Endtime invasion of Israel culminating in the Battle of Armageddon, mentions Iran (Persia) as one of the nations that participates with Magog (Russia) in the invasion. The news that Russia is using Iranian airfields to launch strikes against rebel ISIS is not surprising, especially if we are correctly understanding the prophecy. Russia will be aligned with Iran and Turkey two of the strongest militaries in the Middle East.
