The finishing of the altar does not mean the last seven years have begun. It could be a sign we are getting close, but not the sign giving in the Bible to look for.
Daniel 9:27 speaks of the signing of a Holy Covenant or often called a Peace Pact. The Pact which is signed by many seems to give the Jewish people the opportunity to begin sacrificial worship on the Temple Mount. We know from prophecy that the breaking of the Covenant and the stopping of the Jewish sacrificial worship half way through the seven year period is the sign the Bible gives for the beginning of the three and a half year Great Tribulation period.
It's premature to say the last seven years has begun. However, we could be approaching those days. The covenant seems to allow the Jewish people to begin sacrificial worship on the Temple Mount once again. Then some 8 months into sacrificial worship the Antichrist invades Israel and stops the sacrificing and places the abomination that makes desolate.
The placing of the abomination of desolation is the sign Jesus gave for the beginning of the three and a half year Tribulation period. Therefore, the fact that the Temple Institute has announced that the sacrificial altar is complete is a step in the direction towards the beginning of the last seven years. Coυld the recent Gaza peace treaty have been the Holy Covenant? In the treaty was there any article made to give the Jewish people permission to start sacrificial worship on the Temple Mount?
I don't think we know the answer. Nothing seems to have been published concerning beginning sacrificial worship on the Temple Mount. As a result, I do not believe we can yet say with certainty that the last seven years of Bible prophecies have begun. We are obviously getting closer. It could be around the corner. We'll know when the sacrificing begins that we are already 8 months into the seven year period and a little more than 1,000 days till the Great Tribulation begins.
