Watch and Pray

Jacki Scott - serving God in a Middle East country

“I love Endtime stuff. It’s what inspired me to dedicate my life to God and in the end moved me to the field of humanitarian work. Like the quote says, at least from my perspective living in the Middle East where so much is happening. "I may not know exactly when it's going to happen, but I can see it from here!" In other words, we may not be living in THE Endtime part yet--like the last 7 yrs--but it's clear it's very close!

I've had dreams about the Endtime and even a Muslim girl who lives with me had a dream with Jesus saying to her that He was coming soon. How cool is that?! It's the handwriting on the wall?

A good lesson from the “Handwriting on the Wall”, is that once you see the handwriting on the wall, it's already happening & too late. Like in Dan 5, with Belshazzar, as he was seeing the handwriting, the enemies were coming in under the gate. He was slain that night just a few hours later.

I think many people get sidetracked thinking they're not really in the Endtime unless they are actually living in the Last 7 Years. But that's the "end" of the Endtime. But there are several years leading up to that, the beginning & the middle. We don't have to be running from the Antichrist to prove that we're in the Endtime.

Even the last 50 years with huge scientific advancements is one of the signs of the Endtime. Now things are happening extremely fast. As forewarned Christians, we shouldn't have to wait till we actually see the handwriting on the wall to believe. We should prepare beforehand.

Two times when Jesus told us to "watch & pray" He was talking specifically about the Endtime. Why would He say that, watch & pray? We are watching, but have we really been praying about what it all means? Jesus specifically mentioned to "watch & pray" in the Endtime just before He comes.

It's a warning to be on the alert and be prepared & be on the lookout for the signs ahead of "THE" Endtime & just in the Endtime, so we'll have enough time to prepare & do what we need to do and be ready. Don't wait till you see the "handwriting on the wall".

"Take ye heed, watch and pray: for ye know not when the time is." ~ Mark 13:33 (talking about the end of the world to His disciples)

"Watch ye therefore, and pray always, that ye may be accounted worthy to escape all these things that shall come to pass, and to stand before the Son of man." ~ Luke 21:36 (Jesus' Signs of the End talk to His disciples).

The above example of the handwriting on the wall and "watch & pray", I never thought about it until I started writing. It's just started coming to me now as I'm writing you. I had no intention of saying that, it's coming fresh. I never realised when Jesus mentioned watch and pray He was talking about the End. That's so cool.
