The Great Reset and Bible Prophecy

Dennis Edwards: The author here is speaking from a Pre-Tribulation Rapture view; that is, the church will be raptured before the reign of the Antichrist and escape the tribulation period. The Pre-Tribulation Rapture view came into existence around 1830s in Great Britain and was promoted by the Plymouth Brethren leader John Nelson Darby. Scofield encorparated the theology into his sytematic footnoted Bible after the death of Dwight L. Moody and the Scofield Bible became the Bible of choice throughout Seminary Colleges in America. Thus the Pre-Tribulation doctrine, not clearly found in the Bible text and not propagated by the early Church Fathers, became the doctrine learned by upcoming Pastors and or missionaries and as a result has been widely taught in Protestant churches worldwide.

By separating prophecies which were designated for the Jewish people of Israel from those that were for the Christian Church, Scofield claimed that the Christians would escape the Great Tribulation period in a Pre-Tribulation Rapture, while the Jewish people would pass through the tribulation period on there way to accepting Christ and finding redemption. But such a division of Scriptures between the Christian Church and Jewish Israel is not easily forth coming in the Scriptures and many Scriptures as a result are not taken at face value. As the Rapture has not happened yet and we seem to be approaching the days of Antichrist, the last 7 years, a greater interest in the Post Tribulation Rapture view has developed.

From my perspective, the Post-Tribulation Rapture seems to be the more logical interpretation needing less supporting assumptions and is clearly derived from the general consensus of the text. The early Church Fathers believed the Church would go through the Great Tribulation under persection from the Antichrist and though protected supernaturally generally, some of God’s people would fall and be martyred by the Antichrist forces. The idea of the Rapture was not fully developed, but the Church Fathers unanimously believed that Christ would return in the clouds to rescue His people "immediately after the tribulation of those days."[Matthew 24:29]

It is all foretold in Scriptures that readers do not keep reading. Instead they are stuck on a single or a few verses and they listen to misinterpretations rather than listening to the Voice of God opening their understanding to scripture that the carnal mind will never understand. Since God protected the Hebrews while Moses called down the plagues of God and the death angel upon Egypt, the people of God being protected by the blood of lambs in their doors, that shows an example that God can and will protect the church His woman in the wilderness Revelation 12.6,14 during the great tribulation. Then the Resurrection comes and the Wedding Feast of the Lamb of God, while God sends His vials of wrath upon the anti Christ followrs who persecuted the church and killed saints and prophets and martyrs ever since Jesus was crucified and during the Tribulation of 1260 days, 42 months, 3 1/2 years, a time and times and half a time.
