Two killed by landmine near Hama
The Syrian Observatory For Human Rights (SOHR) says two civilians have been killed by a landmine explosion in Al-Tuwaina village near Hama, Syria.
Since early 2024, at least 160 people, including 24 women and 57 children had been killed by “old landmines, unexploded shells and bombs across Syria” according to SOHR.
More than a decade of war has left up to 300,000 landmines and other unexploded weapons littered across Syria, according to the aid group Humanity and Inclusion (HI).
