Dear One,
We are often tempted to get down and discouraged with the fruit of our labours. But don't give up. Even a little is much, if God is in it. Do do not despise the day of small things. Be faithful unto the end and He will give you a crown of life. That's what we need to do, fall into the arms of Jesus and keep Him as our first love. "Nothing in my hands I bring, simply to Thy cross I cling." Stand up for Jesus this year in all you do and say and He will bless and keep you and lead and guide you in the way that you should go. "Put thy hand into the hand of God and He shall be for thee better than a light and surer than a known way."
God bless and keep you going for God. Do not be discouraged with yourself. Be strong and of good courage. He is with you and will strengthen you and uphold you with His right hand of righteousness. Fear not. Be strong in Him for He is the source of light, and life, and love, and power, and everything good that we need to keep going forward. Look to Him constantly, and He will not fail you, nor forsake you, but will abide with you forever. Abide in Him and in His Words, and you shall bring forth fruit in due season. Don't faint in your mind. Abide in Him. God bless and may He guide you continually and keep you safe from all harm. In Jesus' name we pray.
The Lord gave that message for you and for me. It's easy to get discouraged with ourselves and our own lack of progress or success. But we need to keep looking unto Jesus who is the author and finisher of our faith. Faith comes from hearing God's Word. If you are down and discouraged with yourself, look up to Him. He is able and has promised to do exceedingly abundant above all we can ask or think. Nothing can separate us from His love, not even our own faithlessness. Even if we are faithless, He is faithful and cannot deny Himself. He will fulfil in us what He has promised to perform. All our predecessors walked by faith and purposed to believe those things and embraced those invisible concepts that lead to eternal life. "For they looked for a city that had eternal foundations, whose builder and maker is God." They loved not their lives even unto death, but were faithful to Him that called them. They loved not the world, nor the things of the world. But loved that invisible God and followed Him unceasingly. So must we.
We must draw nigh to Him in prayer and fasting, a concentrated effort to seek Him and His will in our lives. When we do that, He will answer and will supernaturally intercede in our lives and lead us in the path that we must go. Don't resist. Yield to Him your body, heart, mind, and soul. He will take you and use you for His glory. Seek first God and His kingdom in your life and in the lives of your loved ones and all your other needs will be supplied. Seek God first and foremost and He shall supply all your needs according to His riches and glory. God loves you and is waiting patiently for you in the inner chamber of your heart. Reach for Him in quietness by reading His Word, or meditating on His Creation, or praising Him in song. He will answer and open the windows of Heaven and pour on you His blessings from on high.
Come unto Me, He says, and I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you and learn of Me and you shall find rest unto your souls. For My yoke is easy and My burden is light. We just need to do the coming, the laying aside of our own ideas, our own projects, our own desires. When we put it all aside, when we lay it all down, and come to Him in humility and faith, He will lift us up and lead us in the path we are to take. Stop-Look-& Listen. He is calling each of us to stop what we are doing, to put it aside, to lay it down, and to come to Him in sincerity of heart and mind, and find fellowship with Him. That's the goal: to love the Lord thy God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your body, with all your mind. That's the solution. That's where you'll find the answers to all your problems. Bring them to Jesus. He's all that you need.
