Dennis Edwards: I have written about this war in a link I will leave below. Nelson's ideas on Daniel 8:1-8 that it is a future war is incorrect. Daniel 8:1-8 is showing Alexander the Great's defeat of Persia. It is from the breaking up of Alexander's empire, from one of the four kingdoms of Egypt, Assyria, Turkey, and Greece that the Antichrist will come.
The prophecy of Gog and Magog says the Antichrist will come from the far north, which the Jewish Rabbis have for a long time considered Russia. How can the Antichrist fulfil the two contrary prophecies at the same time?
If we look at Jesus Himself, He fulfilled three different prophecies about the Messiah. "Out of Egypt have I called my son." "He shall be called a Nazarene." "He shall be born in Bethlehem."
In a similar way the Antichrist will fulfil the various prophecies about himself. It may be that he is originally a native of one of those four countries and then immigrated to Russia. Many Russian pilots as trainers of Syrian airmen lived in Damascus. These Russian soldiers later married Syrian women and had children with them. At the time of the Arab Spring unrest, there was a great exit of these families back to Russia, We can see how a soldier could be both Syrian and Russian at the same time and fulfil the above prophecies.
Finally, the Antichrist will make his attack using the power of Russian military might in collaboration with his coalition of allies.
I will share a link tomorrow or go to the appendix of "Where is America in Bible Prophecy?" Look under and find the article on Ezekiel 38-39 and Daniel 11. Tomorrow I will post the link here, but I'm unable to do it tonight. https://fightforyourfaith.blogspot.com/2023/10/are-daniel-11-and-ezekiel-38-39-same.html
