Egyptian Elections- Only the Military Wins!
Only the military are guaranteed victory in this Egyptian election
Robert Fisk, The Independent, 21 June 2012
Hosni Mubarak’s ghost—whether or not he is still alive at midday—will preside over today’s Egyptian presidential election results. For Ahmed Shafik and Mohamed Morsi represent the two faces of the narrative which Mubarak always used to maintain his power: stability or the Islamist nightmare. Shafik, Mubarak’s last Prime Minister, is the “stability” candidate who has already claimed victory. Morsi is the Muslim Brotherhood man who has already claimed victory. Add to this the childish and arrogant claim by the army and its greedy field marshal, Mohamed Tantawi, to hold on to all its privileges, no matter how Egyptians have voted, and today promises to be one of those bookmarkers that historians love.
Of course, if Mubarak dies today, the conspiracy theories will out-plot any other conspiracy theory in recent Arab history. How better to ameliorate the fury of a Shafik or a Morsi victory than the announcement of a state funeral for the grand old man who represented an Egypt which had an economy even if it didn’t have freedom? Egypt’s kindly people would surely not desecrate the memory of any great Egyptian leader, however cruelly he ruled them. After Sadat was assassinated, his funeral cortege passed through the streets in silence. Few were the crowds. But nowhere was there a hint of violence or anger.
But Mubarak—dead or alive—cannot change the awful significance of the election results. If they are as narrow as predicted—52 per cent or 51 per cent—they will represent a divided nation and one torn in half not so much by sect or family but by capitalism and Islam. For Shafik, at the end of the day, is an elitist Mubarakite whose interest in freedom is overwhelmed by his promises of security—which means freedom only for his supporters—while Morsi’s Islamism, tempered though it may be for the moment by an all-embracing fellowship with his fellow Egyptians, will surely lead to a soft sharia-state in which the minaret will always tower higher than the parliament building.
Yet when the military have already ripped up the results of earlier parliamentary elections—which the Muslim Brotherhood and their allies effectively won—and have decided that they, and they only, are capable of writing a new constitution, and that they, and they only, will define the powers of the new President, there is little to debate, whoever turns out to be the official winner of the presidential elections.
For be sure, if there is an official winner, there will also be an unofficial winner (for they will not be the same man) and thus the military—or the Supreme Council of the Armed Forces (Scaf), as we are enjoined to call them—will step in to guarantee public safety and, in their infinite wisdom, rule Egypt until they have decided to crown the man who will do their bidding.
If this sounds too sinister—pharaohs have a bad track record in Egypt—it should also be remembered that the Scaf has blundered rather than ruled its way through the 16 months since Mubarak’s deposition. It did not know whether to close down the revolution in Tahrir Square, it allowed senior police officers to get away—quite literally—with murder and then permitted its young soldiers to run amok in front of television cameras, molesting and beating women. Tantawi may be Mubarak’s life-long chum, but he is no Nasser or Sadat or Hafez al-Assad, men who would never trip up in public. The Scaf’s spokesmen, burdened as they are with the insignia of the cross-swords of a general on every shoulder, sound oddly ill-at-ease, shy, even unhappy at their press conferences. Dictatorship? Us?
And of course, even if Shafik wins with his supposed 51 per cent of the vote, that is hardly a mandate for dictatorship. And unless the Brotherhood declare the result a fraud and take to the streets en masse—it is not difficult to imagine how police provocation could turn such an event violent—the army can hardly adopt the techniques of massive repression so favoured in the past. Surely, they would try to divide the Brotherhood from the Salafists who scored so unexpectedly well in the parliamentary elections, but Egyptians are unlikely to participate in a civil war between Islamists.
More likely—and here comes the corrosive politics of the old Egypt—there will be tantalising opportunities held out. If Morsi is declared President, the army can trumpet their loyalty to the winner of a democratic election while ensuring that he remains muzzled. And the Brotherhood, let us remember, were negotiating with Mubarak’s government even while the protesters in Tahrir Square were still being shot down by the state security police. The idea that the largest Islamist movement in Egypt has spent its darkest years in clandestinity is not true; Mubarak, for his own reasons, encouraged them to participate in elections as independents; and the Brotherhood duly obliged.
In other words, the Brotherhood are not necessarily the other side of the emperor’s coin. They can be stroked and bargained with, and lavished with false praise, and—as long as they do not try to dissolve the army and the security apparatus which has tortured them (literally) for so long—may well work within the system of the “deep state” which is emerging in Egypt.
This will not satisfy the real revolutionaries, the young and the brave and the intellectuals (not necessarily all the same) who feel so betrayed by the events of the past year-and-a-half. The ElBaradeis will still be there to speak up, along with the political failures of the first presidential poll. And the West will be there to bellow if their human rights are violated by either “winner” in the election results today. Ah, that Mubarak might live to see all this …
C.I.A. Helping Syrian Terrorists!
C.I.A. Said to Aid in Steering Arms to Syrian Opposition
By Eric Schmitt, NY Times, June 21, 2012
WASHINGTON—A small number of C.I.A. officers are operating secretly in southern Turkey, helping allies decide which Syrian opposition fighters across the border will receive arms to fight the Syrian government, according to American officials and Arab intelligence officers.
The weapons, including automatic rifles, rocket-propelled grenades, ammunition and some antitank weapons, are being funneled mostly across the Turkish border by way of a shadowy network of intermediaries including Syria’s Muslim Brotherhood and paid for by Turkey, Saudi Arabia and Qatar, the officials said.
The C.I.A. officers have been in southern Turkey for several weeks, in part to help keep weapons out of the hands of fighters allied with Al Qaeda or other terrorist groups, one senior American official said. The Obama administration has said it is not providing arms to the rebels, but it has also acknowledged that Syria’s neighbors would do so.
The clandestine intelligence-gathering effort is the most detailed known instance of the limited American support for the military campaign against the Syrian government. It is also part of Washington’s attempt to increase the pressure on President Bashar al-Assad of Syria. With Russia blocking more aggressive steps against the Assad government, the United States and its allies have instead turned to diplomacy and aiding allied efforts to arm the rebels to force Mr. Assad from power.
American officials and retired C.I.A. officials said the administration was also weighing additional assistance to rebels, like providing satellite imagery and other detailed intelligence on Syrian troop locations and movements. The administration is also considering whether to help the opposition set up a rudimentary intelligence service.
The struggle inside Syria has the potential to intensify significantly in coming months as powerful new weapons are flowing to both the Syrian government and opposition fighters.
Spokesmen for the White House, State Department and C.I.A. would not comment on any intelligence operations supporting the Syrian rebels, some details of which were reported last week by The Wall Street Journal.
The Pentagon continues to fine-tune a range of military options, after a request from Mr. Obama in early March for such contingency planning. Gen. Martin E. Dempsey, the chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, told senators at that time that the options under review included humanitarian airlifts, aerial surveillance of the Syrian military, and the establishment of a no-fly zone.
The military has also drawn up plans for how coalition troops would secure Syria’s sizable stockpiles of chemical and biological weapons if an all-out civil war threatened their security.
But senior administration officials have underscored in recent days that they are not actively considering military options. “Anything at this point vis-Ã -vis Syria would be hypothetical in the extreme,” General Dempsey told reporters this month.
What has changed since March is an influx of weapons and ammunition to the rebels. The increasingly fierce air and artillery assaults by the government are intended to counter improved coordination, tactics and weaponry among the opposition forces, according to members of the Syrian National Council and other activists.
Last month, these activists said, Turkish Army vehicles delivered antitank weaponry to the border, where it was then smuggled into Syria. Turkey has repeatedly denied it was extending anything other than humanitarian aid to the opposition, mostly via refugee camps near the border. The United States, these activists said, was consulted about these weapons transfers.
Democracy at work in Israel!
Palestinian village faces demolition by Israel
By Karin Laub, AP, Jun 20, 2012
SUSIYA, West Bank (AP)—Palestinians in this hamlet have clung to their arid acres for decades, living without proper electricity or water while Israel provides both to Jewish settlers on nearby hills. But the end now seems near for Susiya: Demolition orders distributed last week by the Israelis aim to destroy virtually the entire village.
Before it does, Israel could encounter an international complication: Several European countries, with traditional Israel ally Germany in the lead, have funded solar panels, wind turbines and wells to make life in area villages more bearable. A diplomatic incident may loom.
“They are turning us into refugees on our own land,” said resident Mohammed Nawaja, principal of a 35-student elementary school that consists of four tents slated for removal.
Susiya is one of more than a dozen “unrecognized” Palestinian herding communities in the southern West Bank, a desert-like area close to the Green Line, Israel’s pre-1967 war frontier with the West Bank, when it was ruled by Jordan. Its 160-odd residents live in shacks, caves and tents with cement-reinforced walls.
Israeli authorities say the structures are unlicensed. Residents and their supporters say Israel refuses to grant permits as part of a plan to clear the area for future territorial claims—a charge Israel denies.
Activists say Israeli authorities have issued demolition orders in most of the hamlets over the years, but Susiya faces the most immediate risk of wholesale razing.
At the heart of the matter is the struggle over the 62 percent of the West Bank that remains under full Israeli control—known as Area C. This area is home to more than 300,000 Jewish settlers, more than double the number of Palestinians living there. More than 90 percent of the West Bank’s Palestinians live in the parts of territory adding up to 38 percent of the land, administered by the Palestinian Authority.
Critics say Israel has blocked virtually all Palestinian development in Area C, while expanding the Jewish settlements there. Only 5 percent of Palestinian requests for building permits in Area C have been granted in recent years, said Alon Cohen-Lifshitz of the Israeli group Bimkom, which calls for fair planning practices.
Planning restrictions and demolition orders are part of a wider Israeli land grab, said Michael Sfard, an attorney for Israeli activists who have installed solar panels and wind turbines with German funding in 18 small communities in the southern West Bank.
“The federal government and its EU partners are watching the situation … very carefully,” said a German Foreign Ministry spokesman Wednesday, on customary condition of anonymity. “They are calling for safeguarding the German and international projects … and are in close contact with the Israeli authorities.”
Susiya’s defenders say it’s more vulnerable to displacement than some of the other villages in the area. The village is flanked by a Jewish settlement and the ruins of a centuries-old Jewish town of the same name.
Susiya residents lived in the area of the ruins until it was declared an archaeological site and they were forced to leave in the mid-1980s. Some left for other Palestinian communities, while others settled a few hundred yards away, on land Nawaja says is privately owned by him and his relatives.
Since Israel did not recognize the community, it was not hooked up to electricity or water grids, while the settlement of Susiya and several unauthorized Jewish outposts in the area receive such services, said Sfard.
In 2010, Israel’s government designated the Susiya excavation area as a Jewish heritage site and promised funding to turn it into a major tourist attraction. Susiya residents say they’ve been barred from visiting the site, even though some were born there.
Israeli archaeologist Yonathan Mizrahi, who was not involved in the dig, said excavations also yielded remnants of a mosque built atop the synagogue in later years, but that this is not mentioned to visitors. “There is a clear political agenda, to legitimize the settlement (of Susiya) as continuing the Jewish presence of the past,” he said.

Four Scientific Reasons That Refute Evolution!
Four Scientific Reasons That Refute Evolution
by Brian Thomas, M.S. *
Some claim that evolution is unbiblical and unscientific. Others claim that science proves evolution. Which view is right? Four clear observations show why evolution—which asserts that fish became fishermen by nature’s provision of new biological information—is utterly unscientific.
1. Fossils do not show evolution.
Many undisputed fossil lineups should show transitions between the unrelated creatures that evolutionists insist share common ancestry. But the few fossil forms claimed by some evolutionists to represent transitions between basic kinds are disputed by other evolutionists on scientific grounds.1
2. Living creatures do not evolve between kinds.
Experiments designed to detect evolution should have caught a glimpse by now, but they have not. When researchers simulated fruit fly evolution by systematically altering each portion of fruit fly DNA, they found only three resulting fruit fly categories, published in 1980: normal, mutant, or dead.2 A 2010 study found no net fruit fly evolution after 600 generations.3 Similarly, microbiologists watched 40,000 generations of E. coli bacteria become normal, mutant, or dead.4 None truly evolved.5
Big-picture evolution did not happen in the past, and it is not happening now. Other evidence excludes evolution from real science.
3. Genetic entropy rules out evolution.
Population geneticists count and describe genetic mutations over many generations in creatures like plants and people. Mutations are copying errors in the coded information carried by cells. The overwhelming majority of mutations have almost no effect on the body. Also, far more of these nearly neutral mutations slightly garble genetic information than any others that might construct new and useful information.6 Therefore, many more slightly harmful mutations accumulate than any other kind of mutation—a process called “genetic entropy.” Each individual carries his own mutations, plus those inherited from all prior generations.
Cells are left to interpret the damaged information like scholars who try to reconstruct text from tattered ancient scrolls. Ultimately, too little information remains, resulting in cell death and eventually extinction. Genetic entropy refutes evolution by ensuring that information is constantly garbled and by limiting the total generations to far fewer than evolutionary history requires.
4. All-or-nothing vital features refute evolution.
Finally, transitioning between basic kinds is not possible because it would disable vital creature features. For example, the reptile two-way lung could not morph into a bird’s unique one-way lung. The reptile lung would have to stop breathing while it waited for evolution to either construct or transfer function to the new bones, air sacs, and parabronchi required by the new bird system.7 Such a creature would suffocate in minutes, ending its evolution.
Similarly, to transition from an amphibian’s three-chambered heart to a mammal’s four-chambered heart would require either a new internal heart wall that would block vital blood flow, or new heart vessels that would fatally disrupt the amphibian’s vital blood flow.
These four observations show why the unbiblical evolutionary idea that creatures change without limits is unscientific. If creatures evolved through nature—and not God—then Scripture is not trustworthy, since from beginning to end it credits God as Creator.8 But science clearly confirms the Genesis creation account.

Confie no Meu amor, confie no Meu poder e justiça.

[1] Porque, se perdoardes aos homens as suas ofensas, também vosso Pai celestial vos perdoará a vós;

Top Five Regrets of the Dying!
By Bronnie Ware
For many years I worked in palliative care. My patients were those who had gone home to die. Some incredibly special times were shared. I was with them for the last three to twelve weeks of their lives.
People grow a lot when they are faced with their own mortality. I learned never to underestimate someone’s capacity for growth. Some changes were phenomenal. Each experienced a variety of emotions, as expected: denial, fear, anger, remorse, more denial, and eventually acceptance. Every single patient found their peace before they departed, though, every one of them.
When questioned about any regrets they had or anything they would do differently, common themes surfaced again and again. Here are the most common five:
1. I wish I’d had the courage to live a life true to myself, not the life others expected of me.
This was the most common regret of all. When people realize that their life is almost over and look back clearly on it, it is easy to see how many dreams have gone unfulfilled. Most people had not honored even a half of their dreams and had to die knowing that it was due to choices they had made, or not made.
It is very important to try and honor at least some of your dreams along the way. From the moment that you lose your health, it is too late. Health brings a freedom very few realize, until they no longer have it.
2. I wish I didn’t work so hard.
This came from every male patient that I nursed. They missed their children’s youth and their partner’s companionship.
Women also spoke of this regret. But as most were from an older generation, many of the female patients had not been breadwinners. All of the men I nursed deeply regretted spending so much of their lives on the treadmill of a work existence.
By simplifying your lifestyle and making conscious choices along the way, it is possible to not need the income that you think you do. And by creating more space in your life, you become happier and more open to new opportunities, ones more suited to your new lifestyle.
3. I wish I’d had the courage to express my feelings.
Many people suppressed their feelings in order to keep peace with others. Many developed illnesses relating to the bitterness and resentment they carried as a result.
As a result, they settled for a mediocre existence and never became who they were truly capable of becoming.
We cannot control the reactions of others. However, although people may initially react when you change the way you are by speaking honestly, in the end it raises the relationship to a whole new and healthier level. Either that or it releases the unhealthy relationship from your life. Either way, you win.
4. I wish I had stayed in touch with my friends.
Often they would not truly realize the full benefits of old friends until their dying weeks, and it was not always possible to track them down. Many had become so caught up in their own lives that they had let golden friendships slip by over the years. There were many deep regrets about not giving friendships the time and effort that they deserved. Everyone misses their friends when they are dying.
It is common for anyone in a busy lifestyle to let friendships slip. But when you are faced with your approaching death, the physical details of life fall away. People do want to get their financial affairs in order if possible. But it is not money or status that holds the true importance for them. They want to get things in order more for the benefit of those they love. Usually, though, they are too ill and weary to ever manage this task. It all comes down to love and relationships in the end. That is all that remains in the final weeks: love and relationships.
5. I wish that I had let myself be happier.
This is a surprisingly common one.
Many did not realize until the end that happiness is a choice.
They had stayed stuck in old patterns and habits. The so-called “comfort” of familiarity overflowed into their emotions, as well as their physical lives. Fear of change had them pretending to others, and to their selves, that they were content. When deep within, they longed to laugh properly and have silliness in their life again.
When you are on your deathbed, what others think of you is a long way from your mind. How wonderful to be able to let go and smile again, long before you are dying.
Life is a choice. It is YOUR life. Choose consciously, choose wisely, choose honestly. Choose happiness.

This post contains links, videos, and other notes to supplement the information presented in my recent talk with James Corbett on his RBN radio talk show.
The United Natons sponsors a few new age religious/spiritual organizations, most notably theAquarian Age Community. These groups in turn laud the UN as the major political force for good in this world. They believe the UN to be an organization that is working to bring about both the spiritual and temporal unification of Man. They openly talk about the Initiation of Mankind, and that their collective goal is to bring this about. These groups believe themselves to be spiritual way-showers sent here to guide the planet to a higher level of consciousness. Of course, much of the language used by these groups has cryptic occult significance. What appears to be fluffy new age terminology is often a reference to true life hidden power structures. The following is an explanation of some of their favorite terms.
Words used by Spiritual UN groups, and their cryptic meanings
Hierarchy of Enlightened Beings - The hidden power structure that presides over these small outer groups. A real secret society, who is in fact worshiped by the spiritual UN groups. A small inner group of individuals who spend their lives working on a very real plan of world unification.
spiritual workers - the lower level workers who exist as a "mediating point" between the hidden hierarchy, and the entire world. Their mission is to make the power of the "Enlightened Beings" more overt as time goes on. Hence the Externalization of the Hierarchy concept. These are the people who work within the spiritual UN groups.
Supermundane World - The world of the common person. The world to be altered/raised up to new life by the spiritual workers. This is their perceived service to the world.
World Spiritual Teacher - A being that will be presented to the world in the fashion of the second coming of Christ. This is literally how Alice Bailey and others have described this "Coming One" who will bring peace, unity, and a new religion to the world.
The Plan - The overall work that this group involves themselves with. An occult plan to bring "light" to the entire world. The planners being the Ascended Masters, the employees being the "spiritual workers", and the spectators/recipients of it all being the general public. Note the use of capital letters when you see the Plan mentioned.

This article was originally posted to the AAC website, but I can not find it now. These are just selected (yet direct) quotes from the larger article.
the great serving body of men and women who are working to bring in the new age in all the many avenues of expression is known as the new group of world servers. This group is, in a spiritual sense, a living organism and, as such, is possessed of different chakras or spiritual centers of energy within its collective life. And we're told that within this group the spiritual workers of the world constitute what is known as the heart center. ... people like Jeffrey Sachs, working as he is with the scientists and economists of the world, are perhaps working with third ray energy and probably constitute the throat center of that group.
We're told that what is happening within the larger body of the planet as a whole at this time is that the heart center is beginning to open. And this opening is related to our role and to the circulation of life throughout the organism of the whole body.
The spiritual workers of the world provide that mediating point between the vertical and horizontal axes of the even-armed cross of discipleship service. In our daily lives we construct a bridge between the inner and outer worlds.
There are specific key ideas that we are asked to put forward at this time. One of these is this whole idea of the spiritual Hierarchy of the planet—the group of enlightened beings who stand behind the scenes of our planetary life. This idea is so important right now because the Masters are now preparing to come forward to outer recognition and that humanity has to be prepared for this recognition. There are not that many spiritual traditions that are actually talking about this concept or that actually believe in it. And so it is the responsibility of the esoteric group workers to bring forward this idea of the Hierarchy in a clear, concise and sane manner
we know that there are actually many cooperators spread out throughout the planet, some working alone and many others working in small but powerful groups. This thought can buoy our spirits and we should always hold in mind that we are cooperating with the inner plane workers which includes all of our co-workers who have passed over to the other side as well as the Hierarchy of the Masters Themselves.
This small cooperative act can help to energetically prepare the planet for the coming great events that are hovering upon the borderline of precipitation into our planetary life.

The following comes from an Amazon review of Alice Bailey's The Externalisation of the Hierarchy
Cult teaching
By Malcolm Schosha
This review is intended as a general comment on the entire Alice Bailey teaching, and not just one book. What follows represents my current evaluation of the books, an evaluation that has evolved and changed over many years, following my personal experience studying the books. In the 1960s and 70s I had extensive contact with some of Bailey's co-workers who knew her and her teaching very well and I had help from them in understanding her teaching. My current views on the Alice Bailey teaching would not please them, but I have tried to be careful and not to be unkind. However, there is just no avoiding the conclusion that while the books are somewhat interesting, they are very defective as a guide to life, and it is as a guide to life that they are intended.
4. If you do buy an Alice Bailey book, and get confused trying to understand what it means (if anything), there is help available. You will find in all the books a message directing you to contact the Arcane School, an organization founded by Alice Bailey as a way to promote her teaching. There are now also a number of other groups giving such help, including the School for Esoteric Studies, and the University of the Seven Rays. You will find that the people at the Arcane School, and the other groups, are very nice, very helpful, even well educated; and you will probably like them. They will be anxious to help you. But if you express doubts about anything that is contained in the books, no matter how problematic that content is, or how absurd it seems; you will be told (nicely at first) that you are wrong and that what you think is an incorrect, or absurd, statement are actually the words of the Master Djwhal Khul, who has an understanding that is above human understanding. In other words, they consider the content of the books divinely inspired, and that every statement, in every sentence, is correct and can not be questioned. So although it is called a New Age teaching, it is actually completely authoritarian and fundamentalist at its heart.
Resolution: For those readers who are looking for fundamentalism and authoritarianism in New Age dress, the Alice Bailey teaching may be just what you want.
