Pascal's Wager

Are you ready? Have you kept the faith? Have you taken Blaise Pascal's wager and decided to live as if God existed? 

Pascal said if Heaven is real and the Bible is true and Jesus is the Son of God then we are going to have Hell to pay for our unbelief. However, if it's true and we have faith and believe and live according to God's word, we will have Heaven to pay for our faith. Since we are betting on Eternity, the worst possible outcome is Hell and the best possible outcome is Heaven, therefore, since they are eternal, our best bet is to live as if Heaven, God, and Jesus are real and follow the sayings in the good book. Because if we bet elsewhere, and say it doesn't matter, we may end up in a place we don't want to be when we wake up in Eternity. 

Pascal said the best bet is to live a life of faith, because the promised rewards, if true, are worth the temporary sacrifices; and the promised punishment, if true, are worth doing everything to avoid. Therefore, the best wager with the greatest dividends is to accept Jesus and live as if His words are truth. That's Pascal's Wager. Eternity is a long time to have been wrong. Confess Jesus today and follow Him into Eternity.
