How Vitamin C Saved My Life

Vitamin C was key to healing my cancer naturally and keeping me around for the long haul. When you charge like a bull into your own healing, willing to fight and do whatever it takes, I believe everything you need to get the job done will come to you. Vitamin C came to me like this.
My Vitamin C Story
A relative sent the Linus Pauling book on Vitamin C to me in the early stages of my healing from Stage IV Melanoma cancer. I was searching for something to add to my healing regimen and this book came in perfect timing. It talked about how people with terminal cancer would take up to 10,000 mg of Vitamin C and have a miraculous turnaround.

(Joe Raedle/Getty Images)As soon as I was out of the hospital, I went out and got it, because I figured if Vitamin C worked for those terminal cancer patients, it would help me, too. I didn’t really know what I was doing, so I bought a variety of types and took up to 20,000 mg a day. I was just getting a good start on the macrobiotic diet, which was the cornerstone of my cancer healing, but adding Vitamin C gave me a lot more energy and for the first time in many years I didn’t get sick with colds or flus. Even my seasonal allergies went away. I knew there was something to it, so I stuck with it.
When I went full force into the macrobiotic lifestyle, I stopped taking the Vitamin C for about a year, but I missed the way I felt on it and added it back in. I felt like just doing a diet wasn’t enough to heal cancer and I needed to do more. I noticed people around that weren’t getting well when I was, and I realized the difference was the Vitamin C.
How Vitamin C Stops Cancer In Its Tracks
Linus Pauling and Matthias Rath, MD did a landmark 15-year study on a number of different types of cancer and Vitamin C. They gave people a mix of Vitamin C, l-lysine, l-proline, and EGCG (green tea extract), and they put a certain amount of people on placebo. After 15 years, they discovered that cancer was a collagen disease, it kills people because it spreads to the different tissues through the collagen.
There’s an enzyme in cancer cells that can eat through your body’s collagen. L-Lysine destroys the collagen-eating enzymes contained in cancer cells, according to Dr. Rath’s research. Vitamin C strengthens the collagen so the cancer can’t penetrate and spread. When the cancer can’t spread, it can’t survive.
Their conclusion was that the Vitamin C stopped 100% of the cancers from spreading. The most powerful nutrient combination was the one listed above. Metastasis causes 90% of cancer deaths and this micronutrient combination prevented metastasis.
I wondered why the Vitamin C helped me, then the study came out and I knew what it had done for me. The melanoma has never come back. I’m convinced Vitamin C and macrobiotics saved my life.
Vitamin C isn’t produced by the human body and it’s hard to get enough through fruits and vegetables. The body doesn’t produce lysine either. To get enough of either to help in the fight against cancer, it has to be supplemented. The Vitamin C they used in this study is a combination of different types of highly absorbable forms.
We All Need Vitamin C
Vitamin C is known to help with immunity, chelate heavy metals, assist in detoxification, clean and repair arteries, and so much more. It even helps fight the common cold.
Many years ago I had a severe mold exposure where I became out of breath, lost my exercise tolerance, and felt fatigued. I suspected my heart was the problem. I went to a well-known Cardiologist in New York and had a calcium score test done. He said my arteries were as clear as a baby’s, and I was 52 years old. With a family history of sudden cardiac death at a young age, I was relieved.
When I thought about it later, I wondered what I had done to keep my arteries so clean. It wasn’t long before studies were released showing Vitamin C prevents heart attacks and stroke by keeping arteries clean and elastic while promoting wound healing. My artery testing is still clean today.
The Best Forms of Vitamin C
I’m a big believer in Vitamin C, I’ve taken it for more than 25 years. Not everyone should take as much as I do, but I believe, along with a healthy lifestyle and great nutrition, it’s been a key to my healing. For optimal health, I recommend 5000mg daily or to your bowel tolerance. I personally take both a Vitamin C buffered with lysine and Dr. Rath’s. I don’t use his whole protocol, just his Vitamin C blend.

How Exercise May Lower Cancer Risk
The relationship between exercise and cancer has long both intrigued and puzzled oncologists and exercise physiologists.
Exercise is strongly associated with lowered risks for many types of cancer. In epidemiological studies, people who regularly exercise generally prove to be much less likely to develop or die from the disease than people who do not. At the same time, exercise involves biological stress, which typically leads to a short-term increase in inflammation throughout the body. Inflammation can contribute to elevated risks for many cancers.
Now, a new study in mice may offer some clues into the exercise-cancer paradox. It suggests that exercise may change how the immune system deals with cancer by boosting adrenaline, certain immune cells and other chemicals that, together, can reduce the severity of cancer or fight it off altogether.
But mice, obviously, are not people, and it is impossible to know from this study whether a similar process occurs in humans, although exercise, particularly moderately intense exercise such as jogging, has been shown to increase adrenaline and the production of natural killer immune cells in people, Dr. Hojman said.
“So the mechanisms,” she said, that seemed to partially protect the running mice in this study from malignancies, “can also happen in people,” perhaps providing one more incentive, if we still need it, to get up and move.

I want to thank you for mentioning me in your column "Scam Alert" in the January 2003 issue of the AARP Bulletin, page 18. Obviously my message of Natural Healing is having a major impact throughout the country if an organization the size of AARP, 30 million members, feels the need to attack me.
Yes, I am an orthodox medical doctor who was for 15 years on the faculty of the University of California, San Francisco, School of Medicine, considered to be one of the three top medical schools in the country. As Associate Professor and Vice Chairman of the Department of Orthopedic Surgery, I trained thousands of doctors.
In addition, as Chief of Orthopedic Surgery at San Francisco General Hospital, one of the premier trauma hospitals in the country, I ran the equivalent of a M.A.S.H. unit for many years. For the past 20-25 years, I have been invited to lecture to doctors at numerous University medical schools including Vanderbilt, Baylor, Cincinnati, Tufts, South Carolina, Iowa, USC, Minnesota and countless medical societies throughout the U.S. including the Massachusetts Medical Society, as well as other medical organizations around the world, including the Royal Society of Medicine in London.
How surprised they will be to find out that the very doctor, Dr. Lorraine Day, these highly distinguished medical groups invited as a guest speaker, you, the editors of AARP, have designated as a quack.
How could I, overnight, go from a highly respected surgeon at the top of my field, to an AARP-designated quack?
What was my "crime?"
Answer: I had the audacity to successfully reverse my severe, life-threatening cancer WITHOUT DRUGS! According to your business partners, the pharmaceutical companies, this is the GREATEST crime of all!
Yes, I did reverse my life-threatening, end-stage cancer by totally natural methods. (You can see the pictures of the huge tumor I had, as well as my biopsy reports at my web site www.drday.com)
Yes, I did refuse chemotherapy, radiation and mutilating surgery because, as a medical doctor with years of experience, I saw thousands of cancer patients die, NOT from their cancer, but from the painful, maiming, destructive "treatments" we doctors give them.

But I understand your need to attack me and my reputation. After all, one of the main functions of AARP, according to your own advertising, is to sell drug medications to your members.
Let's see, with 30 million members (all over 55) and each one spending maybe $100.00 per month with AARP for their medication (a conservative estimate), that amounts to $3 BILLIONin drug sales per month. If your organization gets a cut of just 10% of that total, thatÕs $300 MILLION per month for you! If your cut is only 1%, that's still $30 MILLION per month you are receiving, a minimum of $360 MILLION per year!
When you have a multi-million dollar arrangement with the drug companies as you do, my message of inexpensive natural methods of healing, with NO adverse side effects, could really cut into a truly phenomenal income such as you are receiving. It's easy to see why you would choose to attack me.
One more thing, in your column you referred to natural healing as quackery, yet on the back page of your very same AARP Bulletin, January 2003, you promote a "Yearbook" with an advertising headline stating "Ordinary Ailments, Extraordinary Cures -- Health Breakthroughs and Remarkable Remedies." In that advertisement are listed SIX or SEVEN points of the TEN Step Natural Health Plan I used to reverse my end-stage cancer!
Why is it "quackery" when I promote it, but it's NOT "quackery" when YOU promote it? (see ad in AARP bulletin)
Even MORE interesting is the fact that you CHANGED the headline for the advertisement when it was published in your Bulletin. Here is the SAME ad found in another paper. The heading is very different. It includes the words:
"Remedies That Work Better Than Dangerous Drugs Or Risky Surgery"
Your AARP Bulletin obviously required that the ad be changed to eliminate these important words - to protect your enormous payoff from your drug business. You have deliberately withheld potentially life-saving information from your membership for your own monetary gain.
In the interest of fairness, I'm sure you will be more than happy to print this letter in a prominent spot in your up-coming February AARP Bulletin. I give you permission, but ONLY if it is printed in its entirety. You do not have my permission to cut and paste portions to suit your own agenda.
Just in case there's an outside chance you are NOT interested in fairness, I will post this letter on my own web site at www.drday.com as well as other web sites, as the public does have the right to hear both sides.
Again, thank you for mentioning me. I could never afford to buy publicity like this to an organization the size of AARP, and here you have provided it for me free of charge. You have probably forgotten, or at least have not considered the fact that there are millions of intelligent and discerning members in your organization who will be perceptive enough to search me out,to find out how they too can get well without the torturing pain, surgical disfigurement, and bankrupting expense of orthodox methods.

Why Red Wine Helps Prevent Cancer

How many times has your grandmother said the secret to her ripe old age was never missing happy hour? While the key factors to longevity have been debated fiercely, grandma might be on to something.
New research is emerging proving red wine can in fact help to prevent cancer.
The debate over whether alcohol is good or bad for you is a never-ending saga with scientific studies coming out to support both.
While the argument may never be resolved, the University of Colorado Cancer Center completed a recent experiment, which shows that the chemical resveratrol found in grape skins and in red wine may prevent cancer.
“We focused on head and neck cancer and saw that alcohol bombards your genes. And if you consume high quantities of alcohol, eventually some damage isn’t fixed.” says Robert Sclafani, PhD, investigator at the University of Colorado Cancer Center and professor of biochemistry and molecular genetics at the CU School of Medicine. “But, the alcohol that had the lowest effect on the body was red wine. So, the idea was that there must be something in the red wine that is counteracting the effect of the alcohol. And we’ve proven that it’s resveratrol.”
Resveratrol, found in grape skin, suppresses carcinogens in the body.
In fact, the mice used in their experiment were given cancer, but when the researchers introduced the chemo-preventative compounds found in red wine into the mice’s systems the tumors shrank—and it prevented others from growing. The study proved that grape seed extract could block cancer in laboratory animals as well.
When you drink red wine you’re ingesting both of those substances—an anti-cancer double whammy.
Robert and his colleagues are hoping that giving concentrated doses of these substances to patients with a high likelihood of getting cancer will be a non-toxic alternative to traditional treatments such as chemotherapy. “Being able to counteract the pre-cancerous cells with a mild medicine would be a great alternative in treating these high-risk patients,” he told Yahoo Health. “Those who are dealing with head and neck cancer in particular often face major surgery that alters their physical appearance. Using this method would hopefully help reduce the tumors that would need to be removed.”
What does this all mean for you and me? It all boils down to one thing: moderation.
“There’s not enough alcohol in a glass or two of red wine a day to really harm you, but there are benefits as we’ve proved,” adds Robert. “Moderation is key.”
The advantages are purely from the consumption of red wine. Scotch, vodka and even white wine do not have these positive effects as they do not contain resveratrol.
And while you may think taking a massive daily supplement of resveratrol would do the trick in preventing you from getting cancer, Robert says there’s been no proof that it helps.
Instead, he explains you can get your resveratrol from dietary sources besides red wine. “Eat a lot of Thai food,” he says. “Peanuts are actually very high in resveratrol and have similar benefits to red wine. But, again they need to be eaten in moderation.”

Case Dismissed! Texas Ends 15-Year Fight Against Cancer Doctor Burzynski

After a grueling 15-year long battle, the Texas Medical Board has officially ended its crusade to revoke Dr. Stanislaw Burzynski's medical license in an effort to end his use of Antineoplastons, as well as his combination gene-targeted therapy for cancer.
The Texas Medical Board’s case against him was dismissed1 on November 19, 2012, just in time for Thanksgiving. According to Dr. Burzynski’s attorney, Richard A. Jaffe, Esq:2
“Early on, two medical board informal settlement panels found that the use of these combination drugs on the advanced cancer patients involved was within the standard of care.
However, the Texas Medical Board refused to drop the case and instead filed a formal complaint3 against Dr. Burzynski alleging the same standard of care violations previously rejected by the board settlement panels.
After two years of intense litigation, the case was set for trial in April 2012. However, a week before trial, the administrative law judges dismissed most of the charges against Dr. Burzynski which forced the Board to seek to adjourn the case to do some reevaluation.
After the judges denied the Board’s attempt to reverse the previous partial dismissal of the case, the Board did more reevaluation and moved to dismiss the entire case.”
In 2010, Texas Medical Board staff charged4 Dr. Burzynski with prescribing and administering drugs not yet approved by the FDA for the treatment of cancer in two patients. They also claimed he had overcharged for the drugs, and, in one case, that he had failed to inform the patient that the treatment was having an insignificant impact on her cancer, delaying her ability to make an informed decision about whether to continue her treatment.
On both counts, the Board determined that the treatments did not violate the standard of care, and that patients had been appropriately billed. They did however agree he failed to inform the patient that the treatment was ineffective, and in the other case, they determined he had failed to maintain adequate medical records.
Dr. Burzynski to Make History Yet Again
Dr. Burzynski received much-needed publicity two years ago with the release of Burzynski — The Movie, a documentary about Dr. Burzynski’s remarkable cancer discovery, and how he won the largest and possibly the most convoluted and intriguing legal battle against the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) in American history.
This year, a second film detailing his continued struggles, and victories, is scheduled to be released. As announced in the trailer (see above), Dr. Burzynski is now doing the unthinkable... He is “the first and only scientist in United States history to enter the federal drug approval process for a proprietary cancer therapy without any financial support from the American government, the pharmaceutical industry, or the cancer establishment.”
After it was revealed that the FDA had pressured the Texas medical board to revoke Dr. Burzynski's medical license — despite the fact that no laws were broken, and his treatment was proven safe and effective — the obvious question was “why?” In 1982, Dr. Richard Crout, Director of the FDA Bureau of Drugs, wrote:
"I never have and never will approve a new drug to an individual, but only to a large pharmaceutical firm with unlimited finances."
The answer to this has to do with money. Lots and lots of money... See, Dr. Burzynski owns the patent for this treatment, and should it actually gain FDA approval, not only would it threaten conventional chemotherapy and radiation, it would also result in billions of dollars of cancer research funds being funneled over to the one single scientist who has exclusive patent rights — Dr. Burzynski.

When Medical Harassment Becomes Standard Practice
As Burzynski — The Movie revealed, it became clear that ever since 1977, when Dr. Burzynski first tried to get antineoplastons approved, the FDA had begun scheming to eliminate the threat he and his discovery posed to the cancer industry. With that in mind, the mistreatment dished out by the Texas Medical Board (TMB) against Dr. Burzynski becomes easier to understand.
The situation becomes even more enlightening once you take into account the fact that, for years, the TMB has cultivated intimidation and harassment of doctors to the point that the entire Board was sued by the Association of American Physicians and Surgeons (AAPS) in 2007, citing an “institutional culture of retaliation and intimidation.” The suit specifically pointed out misconduct by then Board president, Roberta Kalafut, who was accused of enlisting her husband to file anonymous complaints against targeted doctors, including her own competitors, who then faced losing their license and other punitive disciplinary actions based on fraudulent charges. (She resigned from her post in December 2008.)5
The situation was so bad that legislation was drafted in 2009 in an effort to clamp down on the abuses by the TMB.6 Unfortunately, the bill, HB3816, failed to get a House vote and didn’t make it into law. The bill would have prevented anonymous, unsworn complaints from ruining the careers of doctors, and given physicians a right to jury trial before license revocation, among other things. It seems not much has changed in the years since. In an AAPS blog dated September 22, 2011, Jane M. Orient, MD, Executive Director of AAPS stated:7
“Complaints from our members have identified the TMB as probably the worst in the country. It’s bad for patients when their doctors are afraid that doing the right thing could result in licensure action.”

The bill would have prevented anonymous, unsworn complaints from ruining the careers of doctors, and given physicians a right to jury trial before license revocation, among other things. It seems not much has changed in the years since. In an AAPS blog dated September 22, 2011, Jane M. Orient, MD, Executive Director of AAPS stated:7
“Complaints from our members have identified the TMB as probably the worst in the country. It’s bad for patients when their doctors are afraid that doing the right thing could result in licensure action.”

He's spent the last 35 years developing and successfully treating cancer patients suffering with some of the most lethal forms of cancer at his clinic in Houston, Texas. In November of 1995, the US Patent office approved the first US Government patent for antineoplastons. Incredibly, In August of 2012, America's National Cancer Institute has begun to finally acknowledge and cite some of Burzynski's peer-reviewed Antineoplaston studies, as well as Japan's studies who have been independently reproducing Antineoplaston clinical trials studies since the 1980's. One of the most remarkable admissions by The National Cancer Institute is where they quote10:
"A Phase II study also conducted by the developer and his associates at his clinic reported on 12 patients with recurrent diffuse intrinsic brainstem glioma. Of the ten patients who were evaluable, two achieved complete tumor response, three had partial tumor response, three had stable disease, and two had progressive disease."
A brainstem glioma has simply never been cured before in the history of medicine — Antineoplastons hold the first cures ever. Kudos to the National cancer Institute for finally giving credit where credit is due!

To summarize Dr. Burzynski’s story: He developed a cancer treatment that surpassed all other treatments on the market, and the FDA and the pharmaceutical industry knew it. They also knew he was the sole owner of the patents for this therapy, and these two facts combined, threatened the entire paradigm of the cancer industry.
So they decided to steal his invention. The problem is, they cannot actually use the stolen patents as long as Dr. Burzynski walks free and has the ability to defend his rights to them.
So, for the past 15 years, they’ve thrown everything but the kitchen sink at him in an effort to tuck him away in jail for the remainder of his life, or at the very least, make sure he doesn’t have a license with which to practice any kind of medicine. Without a profitable career, making and raising the needed cash for patent defense would be tricky. Sadly, you and I have all been paying for the brutal opposition to his cancer treatment this whole time. The US government spent $60 million on legal fees for just one of his trials alone...
Still, Dr. Burzynski has prevailed against enormous forces so many times it’s enough to make one believe in a higher power. Certainly, many of his patients would call him a God-send. Fasting renews immune system!
Fasting for three days renews entire immune system, new study finds

Fasting for three days can regenerate the entire immune system, even in the elderly, scientists have found in a breakthrough described as “remarkable.”
Although fasting diets have been criticized by nutritionists, research suggests that starving the body kick-starts stem cells into producing more white blood cells, which fight off infection.
Scientists at the University of Southern California (USC) say the discovery could be particularly beneficial for those suffering from damaged immune systems, such as cancer patients on chemotherapy. It could also help the elderly whose immune systems become less effective.
The researchers say fasting “flips a regenerative switch” that prompts stem cells to create white blood cells, essentially restoring the immune system.
“It gives the OK for stem cells to go ahead and begin proliferating and rebuild the entire system,” said Valter Longo, professor of gerontology and biological sciences at the university.
“And the good news is that the body got rid of the parts of the system that might be damaged or old, the inefficient parts, during the fasting. Now, if you start with a system heavily damaged by chemotherapy or aging, fasting cycles can generate, literally, a new immune system.”
Prolonged fasting forces the body to use stores of glucose and fat but also breaks down a significant portion of white blood cells. During each cycle of fasting, this depletion induces changes that trigger stem cell-based regeneration of immune system cells.
In trials, volunteers were asked to fast regularly for between two and four days over a six-month period. Scientists found that prolonged fasting also reduced the enzyme PKA, which is linked to aging and a hormone which increases cancer risk and tumour growth.
“We could not predict that prolonged fasting would have such a remarkable effect in promoting stem cell-based regeneration of the hematopoietic [formation of stem cells] system,” added Longo. “When you starve, the system tries to save energy, and one of the things it can do to save energy is to recycle a lot of the immune cells that are not needed, especially those that may be damaged.
“What we started noticing in both our human work and animal work is that the white blood cell count goes down with prolonged fasting. Then when you re-feed, the blood cells come back.”
Fasting for 72 hours also protected cancer patients against the toxic impact of chemotherapy.
“The results of this study suggest that fasting may mitigate some of the harmful effects of chemotherapy,” said co-author Tanya Dorff, assistant professor of clinical medicine at the USC Norris Comprehensive Cancer Center and Hospital.

Cancer Cure Dr. William D. Kelly

There is no cure for the common cold. There is a very simple CURE for cancer
There is not ONE doctor in the world today who treats cancer? Historically we are repeating the very same lesson we learned in 1930.
In caring for his diabetic patients the physician may amputate a leg, perform a liver, kidney or lung transplant and provide a Seeing Eye dog. However he is not treating DIABETES, but only the end result of diabetes. If the physician does not prescribe insulin, the missing metabolic requirement, he is not treating diabetes. Even should the physician prescribe insulin, the patient himself must give the needed medication from 1 to 4 times a day and adjust his diet. The patient, not the physician, must treat his own diabetes.
Likewise, in caring for his CANCER patients, the physician may surgically remove a tumor mass, and destroy the patient's body with chemotherapy and/or radiation. However, he is not treating CANCER, but only the end results of cancer. Cancer is simply a metabolic malfunction of the patient's pancreas and failure of the pancreas to produce an adequate amount of pancreatin, for a number of reasons. Although the physician may prescribe pancreatin for his cancer patients, it is the patient himself who treats his own cancer by taking the pancreatin from 4 to 6 times daily as well as making adjustments in his diet.
From the beginning of time, diabetes was a death sentence. In 1911 professor Scott discovered and documented the cure for Diabetes. All Physicians had only treated the results of diabetes, such as heart, liver and kidney damage, gangrene and blindness, but not diabetes. Everything went along the same as usual, diabetic patients dying, until the 1920's when Dr. Scott developed and standardized the blood test for diabetes. During this period, the Medical Establishment in their pompous ignorance and diabolical greed, murdered Dr. Scott's wife and only son. The Eli Lilly Co. was given the sole and only monopoly for the manufacture and sale of insulin, by the Big Establishment, which controls all monopolies. Lilly's problem was, they could not make insulin. Therefore by stealth, deceit and conspiracy, a Lilly conspirator confiscated Scott's procedures and technique for production of insulin.
The Medical Establishment then forced Sir Dr. Frederick Banting to accept a Doctor of Medicine degree that he did not want and in which he had no interest. Next the Establishment gave the Nobel prize to Banting (a very honorable man) and Best (not so honorable) to cover up Lilly's theft of Scott's scientific discovery. Thus the Big Establishment conferred credibility upon Eli Lilly and Company. Lilly has had the monopoly on insulin ever since, making hundreds of millions of dollars down through the years.
So it is today, the physician only treats malignant tumor masses, blood and immune system failures. The physician never treats CANCER. Four things usually happen to the physician who even attempts to treat CANCER:
1. He is immediately stripped of his license to practice medicine; and/or is
2. Thrown in jail for at least one year; and/or is
3. Run out of the country; (usually Mexico) and/or is
Killed. For the time being, the CANCER victim must treat his/her own cancer. Legally, one must also allow the physician to treat the results of CANCER and plunder and frequently kill the victim. The Cancer Self-Test and procedures for treating one's cancer are carefully outlined in Dr. Kelley's One Answer to Cancer updated, 1997.
I bring this message to you for several reasons. First, to remind you how desperately ill Cancer Victims become, and how easy it is for me to tell them what is needed to regain their health. Also, how exceedingly difficult it is for them to do it. Cancer Victims have to give up any hope they might have that their Orthodox or Alternative Treatment can be more than 20% successful. Although they are told this by their honest physicians, it remains hard to let go of the faintest glimmer of hope. The discipline necessary to do our Metabolic Program is a high hurdle for all Cancer Victims.
For example a young man, Scott Stirling, a seriously ill cancer victim, came to my little, office (a 3 room shack) in Grapevine, Texas. At this point, the Metabolic Nutritional Supplements were pure and uncontaminated. The Medical Establishment was livid with me personally and deceived themselves that I was a 'health food nut' and no threat to their 100 Billion Dollar a year CANCER Racket of Plunder and Murder.
Scot, of course, like other Cancer Victims, had to work very hard to reverse the progression of his terminal illness. Our Metabolic Paradigm was and is as true as 'gravity.' Like other scientists before me down through history, the Establishment tries with all their diabolic schemes and tricks to destroy it. Truth is a most difficult thing to destroy. If the Establishment cannot destroy it, they then make an all out effort to control and profit from it, as above in the case of insulin.
I would be doing you the reader, a disservice should I fail to tell you the whole story. Hope is a most powerful healing tool. However, false hope, dishonest and deceitful deliberate misrepresentation is wickedness to the point of sin. The Cancer Victim obtains more than his share of 'FALSE HOPE' from the Establishment's Orthodox Medical Community. When the Cancer Victim discerns this in his fight for life and abandons orthodox medicine, he is devastated. At this point, the Cancer Victim in his search for health, understanding and TRUTH falls prey to the ruthless wolves of Alternative Medicine and health care. Both Orthodox and Alternative health professionals are not necessarily wicked, but they are all ignorant and unscientific in their treatment of cancer. Also, they are engaged and relish in their PLUNDER.
The Cancer Victim should take careful note that the support organizations of these plunderers also derive their income as leeches from the ignorance abounding in the Cancer misinformation mania of our civilization. From the American Cancer Society, the National Cancer Institute, the various Aids organizations, to the Cancer Control Society, to the Cancer Clinics in Mexico, a lot of money and misinformation changes hands with very little TRUTH or HELP.
I am taking the liberty of listing briefly some of the techniques used by the Establishment since 1970 to SUPPRESS THE CANCER CURE, to maintain their control and further their 100 billion dollar a year "Cancer Racket". My trials by Establishment experiences have been extensive in the field of medicine and particularly the area of CANCER. Your first reaction to this is to stop here and mark this off as the ranting and ravings of a religious right-wing NUT. However, you do have a brain, no matter how washed and laundered and programmed it may be. You can still think and reason and know right from wrong; TRUE from FALSE, and the ring of righteousness from the thud of wickedness.
What I am trying to communicate to you over the next few pages is:
1. The Medical Establishment does not want a CURE FOR CANCER and absolutely will not permit a CURE for any reason at any cost.
2. CANCER is a very simple dysfunction to properly treat.
3. The CANCER VICTIM must treat the cancer himself as the physicians in our society are not permitted to treat CANCER, only the effects of cancer.
4. It is most difficult to CURE your own cancer.
a) The Establishment deceives you in a multitude of tricks.
b) It takes dedication and hard work to follow the correct Metabolic Program
5. Cancer Victims are plundered by the Establishment.
Cancer Victims are used and abused research animals for the Establishment's experiments.
While Scott was sitting in my office getting his Metabolic Nutritional Program the Establishment was continuing their relentless attack on the Scientific Paradigm which I advanced. This attack has been ongoing since I published the scientific treatise in a little 38 page booklet, ONE ANSWER TO CANCER, in December 1967. Early in 1970 the Establishment had obtained a copy and went berserk, promptly throwing me in Jail. Using their Establishment Media, The Fort Worth Star Telegram, the usual smear job belched forth to warn the public of the villain in their midst and to beware of 'QUACKS.'
This ruthlessness and lawlessness have gone on since the 'Garden' which I thoroughly understand from history, as well as personal experience. I am reminded of another Dentist., Dr. william T.G.. Morton, the one who first discovered general anesthesia and the wicked ways in which he was treated by the Establishment, even having to suffer the theft of his paradigm and being discredited until long alter his death. Even today the Establishment tries to discredit him.
THE ESTABLISHMENT
Many are allowed to rant and rave about the conspiracy in the medical establishment and governmental agencies, but none are allowed to be truthful and point out or define who the Establishment is. To some of them, it is a vague somebody or group somewhere out there, who are the bad guys. To others, it is not socially acceptable or politically correct to TELL, if they know.
WE CANCER VICTIMS know that there has to be a cause for all this lawlessness and wicked behavior. My God, Yahweh Al-mighty, has clearly presented this information to us in our scriptures, regardless of the conspiracy, deceit and infiltration by the ESTABLISHMENT and takeover of the United States Government, the Medical Community, the Media, and the Christian Religion. The question is, are we going to be party to the plunder and murder of thousands of cancer victims each and every year, or are we going to follow Yahweh's purpose for our lives.
We politely refer to the ENEMY WITHIN as the Establishment. We all know it exists in all areas of civilization: Political, Economic, Legal, Education, Health, Media, Religion. The inclusive extent and wickedness of the Establishment is beyond the mental capacity of the Christian to conceive and comprehend. The overthrow of our government and our institutions is complete and we are once again enslaved as we were in Egypt. This overthrow of our institutions has not been with guns but with words, bribes, stealth, and acts of deceit.
When Scott was in my office, I had just gone through every court in Texas and the U.S. Supreme Court seeking my First Amendment Constitutional rights. However, the Establishment controls the courts and said I had no 1st amendment right or freedom of speech, freedom of press, freedom to publish a scientific paper. In fact the Establishment was so angry and livid, they claimed the book was practicing medicine on anyone who read it. "Dr. Kelley is a clear and present danger to Society" (Establishment interests). Only Justice William O. Douglas dissented (1971). I am not allowed to have a copy of the book.
DOUBLE JEOPARDY
The Establishment was so livid and upset they forced the Texas State Board of Dental Examiners to remove my Dental license for 5 years on the same charges. Double jeopardy is also unconstitutional.
Like Scott, almost everyone who visited me, or followed this little 38 page booklet, recovered in about 6 months. During this period of time, if it took longer than 6 months the victim was not following the booklet or continued with chemotherapy and/or radiation.
To say this upset the local Oncologists throughout the country was the understatement of the Century. Among the Cancer Victims this booklet spread like a wild forest fire. Many Cancer victims never visited me, but nevertheless recovered and went on their way to health.
Of course, this was reported to the local State Medical Boards which in turn reported to the Medical Establishment.
TEXAS STATE AGENCIES
At this point the Establishment was in a real first class Hissy. They then engaged in the practice of sending the police to sit outside of my little 3 room shack of an office, stopping each one of my dental patients, trying to get a confession that they were coming to visit me for treatment of Cancer not for a visit to the dentist.
Grapevine, Texas, the site of the dental office, was 4-5 miles north of the Dallas/Ft. Worth Airport. Counselees flying into D/FW would rent a car and drive to my office. The police would take the rental car's license down, then go to the rental agency and get name and address of counselees. In addition to giving the information to the Establishment's Mafia the police would send it to the home town of the counselee so their local police could keep a surveillance on them. Many entrapment tricks both in Texas and Hometowns were used frequently
ANOTHER FIRST
The Establishment got into such a frenzy they engaged the Texas State Comptroller to illegally do their dirty work. They were going to stop me at all costs. The Establishment sent to my little shack an agent of the Comptroller. It did not bother me a bit. In fact I offered to help the Comptroller. The Comptroller decided that I owed the sovereign State of Texas several thousands of dollars of sales taxes I should have collected on the food and vitamins being sold to counselees. CHANGING THE LAW RETROACTIVELY, a good ol' Establishment Trick he learned from the IRS, who practice it routinely, when needed to control a person or destroy him.
The State Legislature specifically by law exempted sales tax on food and vitamins. The Comptroller, Bob Bullock (later to become Lt. Governor), said he made a specific arbitrary ruling for me [by Establishment's Mafia orders]. I just ignored him. Being challenged the Comptroller got nasty and sent his henchmen to threaten me. I told them "I'll make a deal with you. You can pay for a clerk to collect it for you. I only work for myself. Or, you can set up a card table outside my front door and collect the taxes yourself I'll even let you store your card table inside my office overnight. You had better have a beach umbrella also, sitting outside in the Texas Sun gets hot." Last December, I received a Christmas card from Lt. Governor & Mrs. Bullock.
Not too long after this we moved to a tiny town of 200 in Winthrop, Washington. The Establishment was enraged to a point of hate and action. One wintry night our home was burned to the ground. All was lost including the older stored medical records and pets.
During this period, no Establishment trick was overlooked to stop me. The Establishment-controlled Federal agency, Internal Revenue Service, used all its reserve tricks, and like the Texas Comptroller made up several new rules in their attempt to stop me. I guess I was too dumb to let it bother me, and went right on my way helping as many people as God would send.
ALL OUT ESTABLISHMENT WAR OF REVENGE
From late 1979 through to this date, the Establishment has been in an insane Hissy. No deceit, no lie, no trick, no bribe, no MURDER, no use of "the badder and baddest people" were overlooked and used to the fullest extent of their creative diabolic intent and actions. In their War on me, they attacked on all fronts and areas to the full fury of their capacity. They did several things at the same time. Many too horrible to write about. I will mention some of them, they were all going on at the same time. The battles became intense with the Hollywood Actor Steve McQueen.
STEVE MCQUEEN
Early in 1980 after he had stopped, within 6 months, the growth of his (McQueen's) own Cancer tumors, his body had encapsulated the dead Liver tumor and several smaller masses.
McQueen felt well and demanded that the unsightly bulge on his right side and little nodule on the left side of his neck be surgically removed. 1 was against this at the time but McQueen insisted.
Fatal Mistake
McQueen frequently called me on my FBI-tapped telephone. One call McQueen made to me, he stated in his famous hero voice, "I am going to blow the lid off this Cancer Racket." This of course freaked out the Cancer Establishment. The FBI then leaked it out to the National Inquirer scandal sheet of the CIA. This exposure was to discredit me. McQueen was then constantly watched and harassed by the FBI, CIA and the Media.
MCQUEEN MURDER
During the surgery, the skin over the liver was cut open and the en-capsulated dead Tumor fell out on the operating table. After surgery McQueen had a talk with me. During the night a government agent came into his room posing as a Physician on duty and injected McQueen with a blood clotting medication which was the cause of death.
THE ESTABLISHMENT INFILTRATION OF THE KELLEY PROGRAM
Movie actor Steve McQueen had completely cured his own CANCER using our Metabolic Program and had made plans to expose and "blow the lid off the cancer racket". Before he could accomplish this, he was murdered as only the Establishment can do it with all the fanfare and news media to destroy my program.
When this failed, the Establishment's next plan was to send a mole or infiltrator into the Kelley organization so that as close a call as the McQueen episode could never happen again.
A psychotic Cornell medical student, who had failed after the second year in medical school - was wandering in and out of the unorthodox medical community looking for help for his own mental instability and illness. During this fruitless search, Gonzalez stumbled onto the Kelley Program which he mentioned to his psychiatrist.
With the help of his psychoanalyst Colter Rule, M.D. and wife Betty Gessels, M.D., high level Establishment members in NYC, they, with this pathological liar, and a major faction of the Establishment forced Robert A. Good, Ph.D., M.D., President of Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center/Institute, to sponsor the Nicholas J. Gonzalez' review of Kelley's records and expose Kelley as a quack.
This project, being most important to the Establishment, led Cornell Medical School to reinstate the pathological liar as a 3rd year medical student under Good's supervision for this project dealing with the Kelley Program.
The infighting of the Medical Establishment over this project forced the most renowned medical researcher of all history to be fired and dismissed from Sloan Kettering and shipped out to Oklahoma City.
The Establishment gave the green light to Gonzalez to carefully investigate the Kelley Program and get the information to expose me as a fraud. This backfired on the Big Establishment as the second communication from Gonzalez to Good after Gonzalez reviewed the first 139 of thousands of records in my possession show.

Dear Dr. Good,
I hadn't meant to write you so soon again, but I've just finished sifting through the first 139 of Dr. Kelley's patient records and found the initial results interesting enough to pass on my findings. While I intend to concentrate on the cancers we discussed - pancreatic, colon, lung, perhaps breast - I've included all the initial results just for interest's sake.
Again, as I wrote in my first letter to you' I do not yet have the actual biopsy reports or other lab data documenting the diagnosis, but I have found Dr. Kelley does keep information regarding how the tumors were diagnosed.
I found these results, particularly for pancreatic, quite intriguing. His overall survival rate for all cancer in this first group is 93% - and as I have found going through Dr. Kelley's records, virtually all of his patients have advanced disease. CONSPIRACY, FRAUD, TAKEOVER
The diabolical Cult organization, SCIENTOLOGY, had several of their doctors and nurses attend my Metabolic Technician Training Seminars. They were using the Computerized Metabolic Program on their sick Church members" with excellent results. As is the case with all divisions of the Establishment, and their diabolic proselytes they wanted to take over the Kelley Organization. They could see millions of dollars in income. and control of a whole system of Medicine. They too, sent one of their slick Con Artists," a Barney Cornfield type, to Dallas and announced here they were to take over the Organization. Just get out of the way, we are going to do Kelley a big favor, we may give him a little royalty, but most of it he must give to our "church."
AN INSIDE JOB
This little experience scared my employees so badly, they went into a frenzy. They had been planning a take-over of the Kelley organizations for some time. Masterminded by my own Lawyer and Accountant, they got down to the business of throwing me out of my own organizations and taking over. The group was, wife Suzi, her new husband, Bill Wolcott (a real estate salesman), Harold Smith (a former cement worker) now the distributor of Nutritional Supplements I sometimes used, Jim Sommers (who had several close brushes with the law in relation to pharmaceutical products) the maker of the Nutritional Supplements for Mr. Smith, and several government agents who had infiltrated the Kelley Organizations and taken my Metabolic training courses. These, along with many of the doctors and technicians gullible enough to believe the lies told them.
ESTABLISHMENT MAFIA AT WORK
The Establishment could not depend upon Good and Gonzalez, or delay any longer, or take any more half way measures. I was a most serious threat to their $100 Billion a year Industry. These lawless Establishment Devils went to work and:
A. Poisoned (food) me 3 times to the point of Grand Mall -- Seizures 3-4 times a week for 14 Months;
B. Tried to shoot me once during this time;
C. Sent the usual IRS agents to do me in;
D. Bought off and bribed my Lawyer and Accountant;
E. Set up a take over of the Kelley organization by employees and wife (standard Establishment procedure);
F. Offered Kelley $500,000.00 to kill a counselee,
G Caused a vitamin manufacturer of supplements Kelley often used to take all active ingredients out of Kelley Program Supplements.
USE OF THE MEDIA
The Media is a most useful tool for the Establishment. Two encounters of hand to hand battle occurred during this time by the Media to brainwash the general public of the ineffectiveness and danger of the Kelley Metabolic Program.
The Establishment's Tom Brokaw and his "side kick authority figure Art Euline, M.D., a Gynecologist" did a first class smear discrediting job of me, on the NBC TODAY show.
Several months later, BBC with Prince Charles, produced a real hatchet Job on me. I had several contacts (friends) in England, one was a former Jehovah Witness from New Zealand, one was a Mormon from the U.S. A few months before the BBC show, I went to London and made the rounds of available hospital facilities from the Florence Nightingale to the City Hospitals. These backers had agreed to financially support moving the Kelley operations to England. Using the FBI tapped phone lines, the Big Establishment both in the United States and England went into a tiz over this, and dispatched their number one BBC documentary crew to Dallas to interview me and make a despicable T-V program with Prince Charles introducing it. The program was scathing and intended to stop anyone in Europe from working with me.
Scott and several of the Kelley patients were requested by BBC to come to Dallas for the filming at their own expense. The patients can verify how desperately ill I was at the time from the Establishments poisoning.
ESTABLISHMENT MURDERS
The next battles with the Establishment were a series of premeditated Murders by the Establishment. These murders were carried out in two stages involving several hundred cancer victims and several children with Cystic Fibrosis.
STAGE ONE
FRACTIONATION
The A.H. ROBINS CO., like the Eli Lilly Co. was given the sole world-wide monopoly for pancreatin by the Big Establishment. Pancreatin was the only nutritional supplement used by all of the Kelley patients.
MURDER, DECEIT, FRAUD, MURDER
The first procedure used by the Establishment to put an end to me was the development of a process by which to fractionate the Whole Pancreatin into the various individual enzymes. In fractionating the Pancreatin they were able to remove one of the major enzymes and make it unavailable to the nutritional market. They continued to market the defective pancreatin to the unsuspecting health food market. Supplement manufacturers never knew why their products would no longer be effective for a multitude of nutritional needs. When I personally informed these manufacturers I was threatened with legal action. Being aware of this, I adjusted our Metabolic Pro-gram to compensate for this fraud. I went right along helping the Cancer Victims, but instead of a 6 month procedure the program had to be extended for 1 g to 24 months. The cost was also greatly increased.
The Establishment by removing needed active ingredients in the raw materials sold to the companies making vitamin tablets assumed the Kelley PROGRAM was doomed to total failure. Al-though I altered our Metabolic Program to compensate for this, those who now claim they have the Kelley Program and supplements are deceiving themselves and the Cancer Victim, for this is the state of PANCREATIN and their fraudulent programs of Cancer Cures to date.
The Chymotrypsin removed from pancreatin is now sold to manufacturers of sewer and septic tank cleaners and not available to the medical community or health food store industry.
STAGE TWO
BIOLOGICAL WEAPONS IN THE CANCER WAR
My fellow researcher, Dr. Carol A. Morrison, M.D., F.A.C.C., found that the A.H. Robins Co. laced the Pancreatin they were marketing to the Medical and Health Supplement industries in our country with a deadly bacteria, B. cereus (Gram-positive Endospore-forming). This infection is a member of the B. Anthraces (ANTHRAX) family, and is totally undetectable in the human body by any known medical procedure, laboratory or biopsy. Like Anthrax it is always fatal unless properly addressed immediately. This infection is part of a wide experimental biological warfare program being conducted by the highest levels of the Medical Establishment. This experimental biological agent has been used by the Establishment for several years.
The Establishment which controls the U.S. Governmental Agencies has several purposes in mind when infecting various parts of the population with Biologicals, both natural and man made. One objective being the destruction of the Pancreas with resulting astronomical increase in diabetes and cancer. Another goal is a form of genocide for select racial groups. Remember the Establishment has been doing for a long time what they accuse others of doing.
NATIONAL CANCER INSTITUTE
The Establishment politicians passed legislation to and declared WAR upon CANCER. Thus, they went to Fort Detrick and took down the U.S. Army Chemical and Biological Warfare department SIGN. They then placed two signs on the front gate of the facility; on the left NATIONAL CANCER INSTITUTE), and on the right, WORLD HEALTH ORGANIZATION (WHO). This was and is properly ballyhooed by the Establishment Media, and financed to the tune of several Billion Dollars yearly from American tax payers.
MAD SCIENTISTS
It is no wonder EVE was deceived in the Garden, we cannot blame her. For even today we are being deceived by the enemy within. Of course, the most evil and mad scientists of all recorded history (at Fort Detrick) never missed an hour of work or a pay check and continued on as usual. While this is going on, Establishment politiclans from their United Nations (UN) center, send out teams of inspectors to make sure other nations do not develop and use Biological Warfare Weapons. These very clever and deceptive Establishment Politicians play by a different set of rules than others are allowed to play by.

HUMAN EXPERIMENTAL ANIMALS
These Mad Scientists, using Human fetal DNA material, produce new bacterlal and viral infectious agents. They use and alter the DNA material from deadly bacteria and virus to successfully escape known antibiotic and antiviral treatment procedures. This meets four of their objectives:
1. To obtain additional taxpayer funding and enslavement.
2. To reduce the world population. Population Act of 1981.
3. To further plunder Americans by their relief organizations, Red Cross, Feed the starving, save a child campaign, etc..
To give credibility to their dedicated diabolical scientific endeavors.
When these new genetic altered biological weapons are ready, they use various segments of our population for their "Controlled Studies." This has gone on in America since the early 1800s. The 1930s Tuskegee Syphilis Study on Blacks. The smallpox and typhus epidemics of the American Indians are examples of this highly developed skill of the Establishment. Also, the various epidemics of Tuberculous (TB) used during the last 150 years.
When America took the Philippine Islands from Spain, General Arthur MacArthur, father of General of the Armies Douglas MacArthur of World War II fame, was ordered by the political establishment to inoculate the general population of the Philippines with live smallpox vaccine. This killed more people than the previous smallpox epidemics. Also, in 1950 the U.S. military experimented on Eskimos and Indians with radioactive drugs.
FIRST SUCCESS
The mad scientists at the National Cancer Institute (NCI) and World Health Organization (WHO), who had taken over the U.S. Army's Biological facility at Fort Detrick, Maryland, finally had the success the U.S. Government spent so much of your Tax Money on.
AIDS IMPOSED GENOCIDE?
There is absolutely no scientific evidence that this laboratory engineered virus was present in Africa before the World Health Organization descended upon these hapless people with their deadly AIDS-laced vaccine. The AIDS virus did not come from Africa. It came from Fort Detrick, Maryland, U.S.A.
WORLD HEALTH ORGANIZATION 'INVENTED' AIDS
It is a mind boggling revelation, which has been alleged from the very beginning of the AIDS fiasco, to realize that AIDS is a diabolical, laboratory contrived plague, that was imposed upon society by design and plan! HITTING THE TARGET
The Mad, Mad scientists at the NCI and WHO have so perfected their Man Made Bacteria and Virus to the point of being able to select which part of the human body they want to destroy and what type of human cells they wish to target. AIDS was just one such achievement - to destroy the immune system "T" cells. Although it was their first success, it was certainly not their last.
Now they have MAD COW, man made Biologicals, to use aganst the brain. They also have EBOLA for liver and other organs. This Biological was first tested on the American Indian Children, and later on natives in South America.
CANCER
Recently, one of their most accomplished Biological Targeted area is the Human Pancreas. By destroying the one part of the pancreas they can increase the incidence of Diabetes. By destroying another part of the Human Pancreas they have been able to produce a very rapid type of Cancer that will take a person's life within four to six months. This is so devastating there is no treatment possible - and none intended.
CANCER VICTIMS
In short, the cancer victims of today face the Establishment enemy within, who are relentless and determined to Plunder and Kill you at any cost. 'False Hope' is not my objective. To be realistic, we have two enemies, CANCER and the ESTABUSHNIENT. Of course there is HOPE, you must have Pancreatin and other Metabolic Nutrients to treat your Cancer properly. However, you must use discernment in obtaing it, and be aware of the multitude of Con-Artists who make claims for their products.
Legally, you must allow the Orthodox Physician to treat your tumors. Remember he is not allowed to treat your Cancer, nor is he qualified to do so. DO NOT TAKE ANY VACCINATIONS. This is the standard deceptive way you are given the Establishment's Biological Warfare infections.
REMEMBER
There will never be a CURE for Cancer until the Establishment can accomplish their objectives by permitting it. Their primary goals are money and control. what big conglomerate will get the blessings of the Big Establishment? Nothing happens on the world scene that is not planned and designed by world Zionism! (The Big Establishment)
NOTES ON CANCER VICTIMS
After 30 years of planning Metabolic Programs for some 30,000 Counselees and developing the scientific Paradigm for the PROPER CURE AND TREATMENT OF MALIGNANCY I would like to share some of the conclusions.
First, we fall victim, not only to cancer, but also to the very clever brainwashing of our number one ENEMY. The medical establishment and the unending barrage of the conspiracy with the MEDIA and support groups such as the American Cancer Society, the National Cancer Institute, the American Medical Association and an unlimited number of organizations that make their income from the crumbs that fall from the establishment's table.
Second, our number two ENEMY is the simple metabolic malfunction of our Pancreas. This is a minor enemy compared to our enemies number one and three. In our Metabolic Paradigm we find some approximately 20 causes for this failure.
All successes and failures of all cancer programs are accounted for by our Paradigm. It would not be a truly scientific Paradigm if it did not include ALL CANCERS which it does.
Third, our number three enemy is ourselves. It is quite a shame that Yahweh, God Almighty, gave each one of us a decent brain (heart in Scriptural terms), but we do not know how to use it, as we have very little if any practice. We depend upon others (with inferior hearts) to do our thinking for us. In short, we go a Whoring after false Gods and the false idols put in front of us by our enemy number one.
The most amazing thing to me is the fact that we Christian Israelites, the White Caucasian, Anglo-Saxon, Celtic, Germanic people of the world having our roots in Adam and Isaac can comprehend the Establishment take-over of our banking system, our money, our government, our justice system, our media and entertainment industry, Medicine, Education, etc.; but we are too innocent, naive, ignorant and brainwashed to comprehend the take-over of our RELIGION, it is Judaism not Christianity. Sometimes I think we are also STUPID!
Those Cancer Victims, whom God has blessed with enough time (6 months) and who have awakened from their stupor, in self-defense, figure things out for themselves. Their discernment that their Physician, their Medical Community, the Establishment, the MEDIA and their Government with its multitude of Bureaucracies have conspired in fraud, plunder and murder against them, - the SHOCK is nearly overwhelming and devastating to say the least.
Fourth, at this point, in self preservation, the Cancer Victim rebels and in righteous indignation, often going berserk. But at least, he realizes he cannot trust or depend upon the Orthodox Medical Community or the Government to protect and help him, but only deceive, plunder and murder him. Also he comes to the realization that if he survives he must "do it himself" and find the answers in spite of the ESTABLISHMENT'S interference, promises and brainwashing.
Fifth, in this state of abandonment, the Cancer Victim in ignorance and desperation becomes vulnerable and prey to the other vultures - the Alternative Medical Community. The alternative medical community is composed of the most skilled CON-MEN and CON-WOMEN in our civilization, falsely deceiving, like the Orthodox, that they have the answer and that they are persecuted scientists and promoters of truth. These despicable creatures would put ol' P. T. Barnum, Wm. Rockefeller and Barney Cornfield to shame; their techniques of deception are superb. Many of these creatures also deceive themselves and are pathological liars and psychopaths. The remainder are ignoramuses.
Somewhere along the line, the Cancer Victim turns to Al-mighty God and asks for deliverance, healing and help. When God sends help, like placing this booklet in front of their eyes, they refuse to accept it, spitting in the face of God, blaming God for their condition and finally turning from God to their own ignorance.
Sixth, my experience with Cancer Victims over the years has taught me a great deal about the mind set of these "Do It Your Self" survivors.
a). Many choose to continue to follow all the recommendations and treatments of their orthodox physicians, while at the same time, do our Metabolic program. This is usually disastrous and only about 6% survrve.
b). Some Cancer Victims, after their orthodox physician tells them the treatments are not effective and no further help can be expected, start our Metabolic Program. Experience has shown that 93% of these individuals who live long enough to stay on the Metabolic Program for 6 months recover completely and go on to live normal useful lives.
c). Often the Cancer Victim goes berserk and while accusing his orthodox and/or alternative doctor of being an ignoramus and not knowing what he is doing, ends up doing exacdy the same thing. He tries to play doctor without adequate scientific understanding. This seems to be an ego builder for the Cancer Victim. However, this is not successful and in the end is usually fatal.
d). Nearly everyone thinks that if a little bit of something is good, then a lot of everything is better. This results in about 9% effectiveness as well as unnecessarily expensive. To many, this is a fun game and entertaining. They say to themselves, "If have to go, I might as well have a blast!"
e). For those who have a great deal of wisdom and discernment along with 6 months' time, while following the Metabolic Program carefully are usually 99% successful.
Like in diabetes, the Cancer victim must always support his defective pancreas with proper diet as well as effective enzymes. He must remember, proper enzymes are difficult to obtain and always expensive.
Seventh, many Cancer Victims having been brainwashed by the Establishment, give up, believing they can never recover their health, seriously consider SUICIDE. If they elect to do this, there are several choices they can make.
a) Go first class and be slow about it. Return to the Orthodox Community. Here you will have all the sympathy of the National Cancer Institute, the American Cancer Society, Hospice Inc., The American Medical Association and many others. They will brainwash you and your loved ones with 'Oh, how brave and heroic you are, what a valiant fight you made." All this while plundering your estate and your loved ones.
b) Go to Detroit, Michigan and obtain the help of the suicide doctor if your doctor won't give his help.
Go to the interstate highway. Jump in front of a Semi. At least this will help your greedy lawyer send his kids to college.
LETTING GO
The most difficult procedure for the Cancer Victim is to let go of the false hope that both Orthodox and Alternative Medicine uses to control and plunder one. Frequently, due to their ignorance of the simple CANCER CURE the condition is fatal.
The program we had developed were functional until 30 August 1986. At that time, I gave up my practice of Metabolic Counseling and unplugged my computer because of activities of employees and doctors I had trained. I would not or will not be party to the plunder, fraud and conspiracy of CANCER victims and Metabolic Counselees.
Any program available today in my name (or claiming to be the 'Kelley Program' or better than the Kelley Program) are frauds and those who are issuing them should be considered a danger to your being. In giving the Cancer Victim HOPE and not false hope; my involvement is conditional upon giving the reader the complete story, not only of the plight of the Cancer Victims and the Metabolic Paradigm, but the missing nutrients for the cancer victim. Also, the Medical Establishment's all out effort to suppress the CANCER CURE and protect their interests and lawlessness. My interest is to provide a sound reliable understanding and effective Metabolic procedure to supply the required Metabolic support.
My objective is, as a teacher, to provide you with the necessary data, that if you choose, by which to live a long and useful life, never dying of Cancer. I would much rather have your friends and relatives read in the obituary column - you died at age 95 from gun-shot wounds, inflicted by a jealous lover - NOT FROM CANCER!
NOTES ON DENTISTS
Dentists are ignoramuses, bordering on stupidity. Dentists have killed more men, women and children since 1950 than all the wars of recorded history.
Dentists themselves have been royally screwed and conned by "the Establishment." Dentists have been used as willing pawns of the Establishment to plunder and murder our civilization by their support of the Establishment's covert FLUORIDE fraud "sting" operation. Dentists know from their required studies in biochemistry that fluoride is the most deadly poison known to mankind.
LEGAL POISONING
Over half of the U.S.A. population is drinking fluoridated water, which is now linked to cancer and arthritis. "Bone cancer has been linked to fluoride in a 10 year study by the National Toxicology Program of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. This sensational news was disclosed in an exclusive report in Medical Tribune, December 28, 1989, but ignored by the mass media. Also, Proctor and Gamble, the maker of Crest (a fluoride toothpaste), presented studies to the U.S. Public Health Service, showing that fluoride tested positive as a cancer-causing agent at the lowest concentrations used." SUPPRESSED
There is no cure for the common cold. There is a very simple CURE for cancer
There is not ONE doctor in the world today who treats cancer? Historically we are repeating the very same lesson we learned in 1930.
In caring for his diabetic patients the physician may amputate a leg, perform a liver, kidney or lung transplant and provide a Seeing Eye dog. However he is not treating DIABETES, but only the end result of diabetes. If the physician does not prescribe insulin, the missing metabolic requirement, he is not treating diabetes. Even should the physician prescribe insulin, the patient himself must give the needed medication from 1 to 4 times a day and adjust his diet. The patient, not the physician, must treat his own diabetes.
Likewise, in caring for his CANCER patients, the physician may surgically remove a tumor mass, and destroy the patient's body with chemotherapy and/or radiation. However, he is not treating CANCER, but only the end results of cancer. Cancer is simply a metabolic malfunction of the patient's pancreas and failure of the pancreas to produce an adequate amount of pancreatin, for a number of reasons. Although the physician may prescribe pancreatin for his cancer patients, it is the patient himself who treats his own cancer by taking the pancreatin from 4 to 6 times daily as well as making adjustments in his diet.
From the beginning of time, diabetes was a death sentence. In 1911 professor Scott discovered and documented the cure for Diabetes. All Physicians had only treated the results of diabetes, such as heart, liver and kidney damage, gangrene and blindness, but not diabetes. Everything went along the same as usual, diabetic patients dying, until the 1920's when Dr. Scott developed and standardized the blood test for diabetes. During this period, the Medical Establishment in their pompous ignorance and diabolical greed, murdered Dr. Scott's wife and only son. The Eli Lilly Co. was given the sole and only monopoly for the manufacture and sale of insulin, by the Big Establishment, which controls all monopolies. Lilly's problem was, they could not make insulin. Therefore by stealth, deceit and conspiracy, a Lilly conspirator confiscated Scott's procedures and technique for production of insulin.
The Medical Establishment then forced Sir Dr. Frederick Banting to accept a Doctor of Medicine degree that he did not want and in which he had no interest. Next the Establishment gave the Nobel prize to Banting (a very honorable man) and Best (not so honorable) to cover up Lilly's theft of Scott's scientific discovery. Thus the Big Establishment conferred credibility upon Eli Lilly and Company. Lilly has had the monopoly on insulin ever since, making hundreds of millions of dollars down through the years.
So it is today, the physician only treats malignant tumor masses, blood and immune system failures. The physician never treats CANCER. Four things usually happen to the physician who even attempts to treat CANCER:
1. He is immediately stripped of his license to practice medicine; and/or is
2. Thrown in jail for at least one year; and/or is
3. Run out of the country; (usually Mexico) and/or is
Killed. For the time being, the CANCER victim must treat his/her own cancer. Legally, one must also allow the physician to treat the results of CANCER and plunder and frequently kill the victim. The Cancer Self-Test and procedures for treating one's cancer are carefully outlined in Dr. Kelley's One Answer to Cancer updated, 1997.
I bring this message to you for several reasons. First, to remind you how desperately ill Cancer Victims become, and how easy it is for me to tell them what is needed to regain their health. Also, how exceedingly difficult it is for them to do it. Cancer Victims have to give up any hope they might have that their Orthodox or Alternative Treatment can be more than 20% successful. Although they are told this by their honest physicians, it remains hard to let go of the faintest glimmer of hope. The discipline necessary to do our Metabolic Program is a high hurdle for all Cancer Victims.
For example a young man, Scott Stirling, a seriously ill cancer victim, came to my little, office (a 3 room shack) in Grapevine, Texas. At this point, the Metabolic Nutritional Supplements were pure and uncontaminated. The Medical Establishment was livid with me personally and deceived themselves that I was a 'health food nut' and no threat to their 100 Billion Dollar a year CANCER Racket of Plunder and Murder.
Scot, of course, like other Cancer Victims, had to work very hard to reverse the progression of his terminal illness. Our Metabolic Paradigm was and is as true as 'gravity.' Like other scientists before me down through history, the Establishment tries with all their diabolic schemes and tricks to destroy it. Truth is a most difficult thing to destroy. If the Establishment cannot destroy it, they then make an all out effort to control and profit from it, as above in the case of insulin.
I would be doing you the reader, a disservice should I fail to tell you the whole story. Hope is a most powerful healing tool. However, false hope, dishonest and deceitful deliberate misrepresentation is wickedness to the point of sin. The Cancer Victim obtains more than his share of 'FALSE HOPE' from the Establishment's Orthodox Medical Community. When the Cancer Victim discerns this in his fight for life and abandons orthodox medicine, he is devastated. At this point, the Cancer Victim in his search for health, understanding and TRUTH falls prey to the ruthless wolves of Alternative Medicine and health care. Both Orthodox and Alternative health professionals are not necessarily wicked, but they are all ignorant and unscientific in their treatment of cancer. Also, they are engaged and relish in their PLUNDER.
The Cancer Victim should take careful note that the support organizations of these plunderers also derive their income as leeches from the ignorance abounding in the Cancer misinformation mania of our civilization. From the American Cancer Society, the National Cancer Institute, the various Aids organizations, to the Cancer Control Society, to the Cancer Clinics in Mexico, a lot of money and misinformation changes hands with very little TRUTH or HELP.
I am taking the liberty of listing briefly some of the techniques used by the Establishment since 1970 to SUPPRESS THE CANCER CURE, to maintain their control and further their 100 billion dollar a year "Cancer Racket". My trials by Establishment experiences have been extensive in the field of medicine and particularly the area of CANCER. Your first reaction to this is to stop here and mark this off as the ranting and ravings of a religious right-wing NUT. However, you do have a brain, no matter how washed and laundered and programmed it may be. You can still think and reason and know right from wrong; TRUE from FALSE, and the ring of righteousness from the thud of wickedness.
What I am trying to communicate to you over the next few pages is:
1. The Medical Establishment does not want a CURE FOR CANCER and absolutely will not permit a CURE for any reason at any cost.
2. CANCER is a very simple dysfunction to properly treat.
3. The CANCER VICTIM must treat the cancer himself as the physicians in our society are not permitted to treat CANCER, only the effects of cancer.
4. It is most difficult to CURE your own cancer.
a) The Establishment deceives you in a multitude of tricks.
b) It takes dedication and hard work to follow the correct Metabolic Program
5. Cancer Victims are plundered by the Establishment.
Cancer Victims are used and abused research animals for the Establishment's experiments.
While Scott was sitting in my office getting his Metabolic Nutritional Program the Establishment was continuing their relentless attack on the Scientific Paradigm which I advanced. This attack has been ongoing since I published the scientific treatise in a little 38 page booklet, ONE ANSWER TO CANCER, in December 1967. Early in 1970 the Establishment had obtained a copy and went berserk, promptly throwing me in Jail. Using their Establishment Media, The Fort Worth Star Telegram, the usual smear job belched forth to warn the public of the villain in their midst and to beware of 'QUACKS.'
This ruthlessness and lawlessness have gone on since the 'Garden' which I thoroughly understand from history, as well as personal experience. I am reminded of another Dentist., Dr. william T.G.. Morton, the one who first discovered general anesthesia and the wicked ways in which he was treated by the Establishment, even having to suffer the theft of his paradigm and being discredited until long alter his death. Even today the Establishment tries to discredit him.
THE ESTABLISHMENT
Many are allowed to rant and rave about the conspiracy in the medical establishment and governmental agencies, but none are allowed to be truthful and point out or define who the Establishment is. To some of them, it is a vague somebody or group somewhere out there, who are the bad guys. To others, it is not socially acceptable or politically correct to TELL, if they know.
WE CANCER VICTIMS know that there has to be a cause for all this lawlessness and wicked behavior. My God, Yahweh Al-mighty, has clearly presented this information to us in our scriptures, regardless of the conspiracy, deceit and infiltration by the ESTABLISHMENT and takeover of the United States Government, the Medical Community, the Media, and the Christian Religion. The question is, are we going to be party to the plunder and murder of thousands of cancer victims each and every year, or are we going to follow Yahweh's purpose for our lives.
We politely refer to the ENEMY WITHIN as the Establishment. We all know it exists in all areas of civilization: Political, Economic, Legal, Education, Health, Media, Religion. The inclusive extent and wickedness of the Establishment is beyond the mental capacity of the Christian to conceive and comprehend. The overthrow of our government and our institutions is complete and we are once again enslaved as we were in Egypt. This overthrow of our institutions has not been with guns but with words, bribes, stealth, and acts of deceit.
When Scott was in my office, I had just gone through every court in Texas and the U.S. Supreme Court seeking my First Amendment Constitutional rights. However, the Establishment controls the courts and said I had no 1st amendment right or freedom of speech, freedom of press, freedom to publish a scientific paper. In fact the Establishment was so angry and livid, they claimed the book was practicing medicine on anyone who read it. "Dr. Kelley is a clear and present danger to Society" (Establishment interests). Only Justice William O. Douglas dissented (1971). I am not allowed to have a copy of the book.
DOUBLE JEOPARDY
The Establishment was so livid and upset they forced the Texas State Board of Dental Examiners to remove my Dental license for 5 years on the same charges. Double jeopardy is also unconstitutional.
Like Scott, almost everyone who visited me, or followed this little 38 page booklet, recovered in about 6 months. During this period of time, if it took longer than 6 months the victim was not following the booklet or continued with chemotherapy and/or radiation.
To say this upset the local Oncologists throughout the country was the understatement of the Century. Among the Cancer Victims this booklet spread like a wild forest fire. Many Cancer victims never visited me, but nevertheless recovered and went on their way to health.
Of course, this was reported to the local State Medical Boards which in turn reported to the Medical Establishment.
TEXAS STATE AGENCIES
At this point the Establishment was in a real first class Hissy. They then engaged in the practice of sending the police to sit outside of my little 3 room shack of an office, stopping each one of my dental patients, trying to get a confession that they were coming to visit me for treatment of Cancer not for a visit to the dentist.
Grapevine, Texas, the site of the dental office, was 4-5 miles north of the Dallas/Ft. Worth Airport. Counselees flying into D/FW would rent a car and drive to my office. The police would take the rental car's license down, then go to the rental agency and get name and address of counselees. In addition to giving the information to the Establishment's Mafia the police would send it to the home town of the counselee so their local police could keep a surveillance on them. Many entrapment tricks both in Texas and Hometowns were used frequently
ANOTHER FIRST
The Establishment got into such a frenzy they engaged the Texas State Comptroller to illegally do their dirty work. They were going to stop me at all costs. The Establishment sent to my little shack an agent of the Comptroller. It did not bother me a bit. In fact I offered to help the Comptroller. The Comptroller decided that I owed the sovereign State of Texas several thousands of dollars of sales taxes I should have collected on the food and vitamins being sold to counselees. CHANGING THE LAW RETROACTIVELY, a good ol' Establishment Trick he learned from the IRS, who practice it routinely, when needed to control a person or destroy him.
The State Legislature specifically by law exempted sales tax on food and vitamins. The Comptroller, Bob Bullock (later to become Lt. Governor), said he made a specific arbitrary ruling for me [by Establishment's Mafia orders]. I just ignored him. Being challenged the Comptroller got nasty and sent his henchmen to threaten me. I told them "I'll make a deal with you. You can pay for a clerk to collect it for you. I only work for myself. Or, you can set up a card table outside my front door and collect the taxes yourself I'll even let you store your card table inside my office overnight. You had better have a beach umbrella also, sitting outside in the Texas Sun gets hot." Last December, I received a Christmas card from Lt. Governor & Mrs. Bullock.
Not too long after this we moved to a tiny town of 200 in Winthrop, Washington. The Establishment was enraged to a point of hate and action. One wintry night our home was burned to the ground. All was lost including the older stored medical records and pets.
During this period, no Establishment trick was overlooked to stop me. The Establishment-controlled Federal agency, Internal Revenue Service, used all its reserve tricks, and like the Texas Comptroller made up several new rules in their attempt to stop me. I guess I was too dumb to let it bother me, and went right on my way helping as many people as God would send.
ALL OUT ESTABLISHMENT WAR OF REVENGE
From late 1979 through to this date, the Establishment has been in an insane Hissy. No deceit, no lie, no trick, no bribe, no MURDER, no use of "the badder and baddest people" were overlooked and used to the fullest extent of their creative diabolic intent and actions. In their War on me, they attacked on all fronts and areas to the full fury of their capacity. They did several things at the same time. Many too horrible to write about. I will mention some of them, they were all going on at the same time. The battles became intense with the Hollywood Actor Steve McQueen.
STEVE MCQUEEN
Early in 1980 after he had stopped, within 6 months, the growth of his (McQueen's) own Cancer tumors, his body had encapsulated the dead Liver tumor and several smaller masses.
McQueen felt well and demanded that the unsightly bulge on his right side and little nodule on the left side of his neck be surgically removed. 1 was against this at the time but McQueen insisted.
Fatal Mistake
McQueen frequently called me on my FBI-tapped telephone. One call McQueen made to me, he stated in his famous hero voice, "I am going to blow the lid off this Cancer Racket." This of course freaked out the Cancer Establishment. The FBI then leaked it out to the National Inquirer scandal sheet of the CIA. This exposure was to discredit me. McQueen was then constantly watched and harassed by the FBI, CIA and the Media.
MCQUEEN MURDER
During the surgery, the skin over the liver was cut open and the en-capsulated dead Tumor fell out on the operating table. After surgery McQueen had a talk with me. During the night a government agent came into his room posing as a Physician on duty and injected McQueen with a blood clotting medication which was the cause of death.
THE ESTABLISHMENT INFILTRATION OF THE KELLEY PROGRAM
Movie actor Steve McQueen had completely cured his own CANCER using our Metabolic Program and had made plans to expose and "blow the lid off the cancer racket". Before he could accomplish this, he was murdered as only the Establishment can do it with all the fanfare and news media to destroy my program.
When this failed, the Establishment's next plan was to send a mole or infiltrator into the Kelley organization so that as close a call as the McQueen episode could never happen again.
A psychotic Cornell medical student, who had failed after the second year in medical school - was wandering in and out of the unorthodox medical community looking for help for his own mental instability and illness. During this fruitless search, Gonzalez stumbled onto the Kelley Program which he mentioned to his psychiatrist.
With the help of his psychoanalyst Colter Rule, M.D. and wife Betty Gessels, M.D., high level Establishment members in NYC, they, with this pathological liar, and a major faction of the Establishment forced Robert A. Good, Ph.D., M.D., President of Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center/Institute, to sponsor the Nicholas J. Gonzalez' review of Kelley's records and expose Kelley as a quack.
This project, being most important to the Establishment, led Cornell Medical School to reinstate the pathological liar as a 3rd year medical student under Good's supervision for this project dealing with the Kelley Program.
The infighting of the Medical Establishment over this project forced the most renowned medical researcher of all history to be fired and dismissed from Sloan Kettering and shipped out to Oklahoma City.
The Establishment gave the green light to Gonzalez to carefully investigate the Kelley Program and get the information to expose me as a fraud. This backfired on the Big Establishment as the second communication from Gonzalez to Good after Gonzalez reviewed the first 139 of thousands of records in my possession show.

I hadn't meant to write you so soon again, but I've just finished sifting through the first 139 of Dr. Kelley's patient records and found the initial results interesting enough to pass on my findings. While I intend to concentrate on the cancers we discussed - pancreatic, colon, lung, perhaps breast - I've included all the initial results just for interest's sake.
Again, as I wrote in my first letter to you' I do not yet have the actual biopsy reports or other lab data documenting the diagnosis, but I have found Dr. Kelley does keep information regarding how the tumors were diagnosed.
I found these results, particularly for pancreatic, quite intriguing. His overall survival rate for all cancer in this first group is 93% - and as I have found going through Dr. Kelley's records, virtually all of his patients have advanced disease. Many have come to him because no further conventional treatment could be offered.

CONSPIRACY, FRAUD, TAKEOVER
The diabolical Cult organization, SCIENTOLOGY, had several of their doctors and nurses attend my Metabolic Technician Training Seminars. They were using the Computerized Metabolic Program on their sick Church members" with excellent results. As is the case with all divisions of the Establishment, and their diabolic proselytes they wanted to take over the Kelley Organization. They could see millions of dollars in income. and control of a whole system of Medicine. They too, sent one of their slick Con Artists," a Barney Cornfield type, to Dallas and announced here they were to take over the Organization. Just get out of the way, we are going to do Kelley a big favor, we may give him a little royalty, but most of it he must give to our "church."
AN INSIDE JOB
This little experience scared my employees so badly, they went into a frenzy. They had been planning a take-over of the Kelley organizations for some time. Masterminded by my own Lawyer and Accountant, they got down to the business of throwing me out of my own organizations and taking over. The group was, wife Suzi, her new husband, Bill Wolcott (a real estate salesman), Harold Smith (a former cement worker) now the distributor of Nutritional Supplements I sometimes used, Jim Sommers (who had several close brushes with the law in relation to pharmaceutical products) the maker of the Nutritional Supplements for Mr. Smith, and several government agents who had infiltrated the Kelley Organizations and taken my Metabolic training courses. These, along with many of the doctors and technicians gullible enough to believe the lies told them.
ESTABLISHMENT MAFIA AT WORK
The Establishment could not depend upon Good and Gonzalez, or delay any longer, or take any more half way measures. I was a most serious threat to their $100 Billion a year Industry. These lawless Establishment Devils went to work and:
A. Poisoned (food) me 3 times to the point of Grand Mall -- Seizures 3-4 times a week for 14 Months;
B. Tried to shoot me once during this time;
C. Sent the usual IRS agents to do me in;
D. Bought off and bribed my Lawyer and Accountant;
E. Set up a take over of the Kelley organization by employees and wife (standard Establishment procedure);
F. Offered Kelley $500,000.00 to kill a counselee,
G Caused a vitamin manufacturer of supplements Kelley often used to take all active ingredients out of Kelley Program Supplements.
USE OF THE MEDIA
The Media is a most useful tool for the Establishment. Two encounters of hand to hand battle occurred during this time by the Media to brainwash the general public of the ineffectiveness and danger of the Kelley Metabolic Program.
The Establishment's Tom Brokaw and his "side kick authority figure Art Euline, M.D., a Gynecologist" did a first class smear discrediting job of me, on the NBC TODAY show.
Several months later, BBC with Prince Charles, produced a real hatchet Job on me. I had several contacts (friends) in England, one was a former Jehovah Witness from New Zealand, one was a Mormon from the U.S. A few months before the BBC show, I went to London and made the rounds of available hospital facilities from the Florence Nightingale to the City Hospitals. These backers had agreed to financially support moving the Kelley operations to England. Using the FBI tapped phone lines, the Big Establishment both in the United States and England went into a tiz over this, and dispatched their number one BBC documentary crew to Dallas to interview me and make a despicable T-V program with Prince Charles introducing it. The program was scathing and intended to stop anyone in Europe from working with me.
Scott and several of the Kelley patients were requested by BBC to come to Dallas for the filming at their own expense. The patients can verify how desperately ill I was at the time from the Establishments poisoning.
ESTABLISHMENT MURDERS
The next battles with the Establishment were a series of premeditated Murders by the Establishment. These murders were carried out in two stages involving several hundred cancer victims and several children with Cystic Fibrosis.
STAGE ONE
FRACTIONATION
The A.H. ROBINS CO., like the Eli Lilly Co. was given the sole world-wide monopoly for pancreatin by the Big Establishment. Pancreatin was the only nutritional supplement used by all of the Kelley patients.
MURDER, DECEIT, FRAUD, MURDER
The first procedure used by the Establishment to put an end to me was the development of a process by which to fractionate the Whole Pancreatin into the various individual enzymes. In fractionating the Pancreatin they were able to remove one of the major enzymes and make it unavailable to the nutritional market. They continued to market the defective pancreatin to the unsuspecting health food market. Supplement manufacturers never knew why their products would no longer be effective for a multitude of nutritional needs. When I personally informed these manufacturers I was threatened with legal action. Being aware of this, I adjusted our Metabolic Pro-gram to compensate for this fraud. I went right along helping the Cancer Victims, but instead of a 6 month procedure the program had to be extended for 1 g to 24 months. The cost was also greatly increased.
The Establishment by removing needed active ingredients in the raw materials sold to the companies making vitamin tablets assumed the Kelley PROGRAM was doomed to total failure. Al-though I altered our Metabolic Program to compensate for this, those who now claim they have the Kelley Program and supplements are deceiving themselves and the Cancer Victim, for this is the state of PANCREATIN and their fraudulent programs of Cancer Cures to date.
The Chymotrypsin removed from pancreatin is now sold to manufacturers of sewer and septic tank cleaners and not available to the medical community or health food store industry.
STAGE TWO
BIOLOGICAL WEAPONS IN THE CANCER WAR
My fellow researcher, Dr. Carol A. Morrison, M.D., F.A.C.C., found that the A.H. Robins Co. laced the Pancreatin they were marketing to the Medical and Health Supplement industries in our country with a deadly bacteria, B. cereus (Gram-positive Endospore-forming). This infection is a member of the B. Anthraces (ANTHRAX) family, and is totally undetectable in the human body by any known medical procedure, laboratory or biopsy. Like Anthrax it is always fatal unless properly addressed immediately. This infection is part of a wide experimental biological warfare program being conducted by the highest levels of the Medical Establishment. This experimental biological agent has been used by the Establishment for several years.
The Establishment which controls the U.S. Governmental Agencies has several purposes in mind when infecting various parts of the population with Biologicals, both natural and man made. One objective being the destruction of the Pancreas with resulting astronomical increase in diabetes and cancer. Another goal is a form of genocide for select racial groups. NATIONAL CANCER INSTITUTE
The Establishment politicians passed legislation to and declared WAR upon CANCER. Thus, they went to Fort Detrick and took down the U.S. Army Chemical and Biological Warfare department SIGN. They then placed two signs on the front gate of the facility; on the left NATIONAL CANCER INSTITUTE), and on the right, WORLD HEALTH ORGANIZATION (WHO). This was and is properly ballyhooed by the Establishment Media, and financed to the tune of several Billion Dollars yearly from American tax payers.
MAD SCIENTISTS
It is no wonder EVE was deceived in the Garden, we cannot blame her. For even today we are being deceived by the enemy within. Of course, the most evil and mad scientists of all recorded history (at Fort Detrick) never missed an hour of work or a pay check and continued on as usual. While this is going on, Establishment politiclans from their United Nations (UN) center, send out teams of inspectors to make sure other nations do not develop and use Biological Warfare Weapons. These very clever and deceptive Establishment Politicians play by a different set of rules than others are allowed to play by.

HUMAN EXPERIMENTAL ANIMALS
These Mad Scientists, using Human fetal DNA material, produce new bacterlal and viral infectious agents. They use and alter the DNA material from deadly bacteria and virus to successfully escape known antibiotic and antiviral treatment procedures. This meets four of their objectives:
1. To obtain additional taxpayer funding and enslavement.
2. To reduce the world population. Population Act of 1981.
3. To further plunder Americans by their relief organizations, Red Cross, Feed the starving, save a child campaign, etc..
To give credibility to their dedicated diabolical scientific endeavors.
When these new genetic altered biological weapons are ready, they use various segments of our population for their "Controlled Studies." This has gone on in America since the early 1800s. The 1930s Tuskegee Syphilis Study on Blacks. The smallpox and typhus epidemics of the American Indians are examples of this highly developed skill of the Establishment. Also, the various epidemics of Tuberculous (TB) used during the last 150 years.
When America took the Philippine Islands from Spain, General Arthur MacArthur, father of General of the Armies Douglas MacArthur of World War II fame, was ordered by the political establishment to inoculate the general population of the Philippines with live smallpox vaccine. This killed more people than the previous smallpox epidemics. Also, in 1950 the U.S. military experimented on Eskimos and Indians with radioactive drugs.
FIRST SUCCESS
The mad scientists at the National Cancer Institute (NCI) and World Health Organization (WHO), who had taken over the U.S. Army's Biological facility at Fort Detrick, Maryland, finally had the success the U.S. Government spent so much of your Tax Money on.
AIDS IMPOSED GENOCIDE?

Now they have MAD COW, man made Biologicals, to use aganst the brain. They also have EBOLA for liver and other organs. This Biological was first tested on the American Indian Children, and later on natives in South America.
CANCER
Recently, one of their most accomplished Biological Targeted area is the Human Pancreas. By destroying the one part of the pancreas they can increase the incidence of Diabetes. By destroying another part of the Human Pancreas they have been able to produce a very rapid type of Cancer that will take a person's life within four to six months. This is so devastating there is no treatment possible - and none intended.
CANCER VICTIMS
In short, the cancer victims of today face the Establishment enemy within, who are relentless and determined to Plunder and Kill you at any cost. 'False Hope' is not my objective. To be realistic, we have two enemies, CANCER and the ESTABUSHNIENT. Of course there is HOPE, you must have Pancreatin and other Metabolic Nutrients to treat your Cancer properly. However, you must use discernment in obtaing it, and be aware of the multitude of Con-Artists who make claims for their products.
Legally, you must allow the Orthodox Physician to treat your tumors. Remember he is not allowed to treat your Cancer, nor is he qualified to do so. DO NOT TAKE ANY VACCINATIONS. This is the standard deceptive way you are given the Establishment's Biological Warfare infections.

NOTES ON CANCER VICTIMS
After 30 years of planning Metabolic Programs for some 30,000 Counselees and developing the scientific Paradigm for the PROPER CURE AND TREATMENT OF MALIGNANCY I would like to share some of the conclusions.
First, we fall victim, not only to cancer, but also to the very clever brainwashing of our number one ENEMY. The medical establishment and the unending barrage of the conspiracy with the MEDIA and support groups such as the American Cancer Society, the National Cancer Institute, the American Medical Association and an unlimited number of organizations that make their income from the crumbs that fall from the establishment's table.
Second, our number two ENEMY is the simple metabolic malfunction of our Pancreas. This is a minor enemy compared to our enemies number one and three. In our Metabolic Paradigm we find some approximately 20 causes for this failure.
All successes and failures of all cancer programs are accounted for by our Paradigm. It would not be a truly scientific Paradigm if it did not include ALL CANCERS which it does.
Third, our number three enemy is ourselves. It is quite a shame that Yahweh, God Almighty, gave each one of us a decent brain (heart in Scriptural terms), but we do not know how to use it, as we have very little if any practice. We depend upon others (with inferior hearts) to do our thinking for us. In short, we go a Whoring after false Gods and the false idols put in front of us by our enemy number one.
The most amazing thing to me is the fact that we Christian Israelites, the White Caucasian, Anglo-Saxon, Celtic, Germanic people of the world having our roots in Adam and Isaac can comprehend the Establishment take-over of our banking system, our money, our government, our justice system, our media and entertainment industry, Medicine, Education, etc.; but we are too innocent, naive, ignorant and brainwashed to comprehend the take-over of our RELIGION, it is Judaism not Christianity. Sometimes I think we are also STUPID!
Those Cancer Victims, whom God has blessed with enough time (6 months) and who have awakened from their stupor, in self-defense, figure things out for themselves. Their discernment that their Physician, their Medical Community, the Establishment, the MEDIA and their Government with its multitude of Bureaucracies have conspired in fraud, plunder and murder against them, - the SHOCK is nearly overwhelming and devastating to say the least.
Fourth, at this point, in self preservation, the Cancer Victim rebels and in righteous indignation, often going berserk. But at least, he realizes he cannot trust or depend upon the Orthodox Medical Community or the Government to protect and help him, but only deceive, plunder and murder him. Also he comes to the realization that if he survives he must "do it himself" and find the answers in spite of the ESTABLISHMENT'S interference, promises and brainwashing.
Fifth, in this state of abandonment, the Cancer Victim in ignorance and desperation becomes vulnerable and prey to the other vultures - the Alternative Medical Community. The alternative medical community is composed of the most skilled CON-MEN and CON-WOMEN in our civilization, falsely deceiving, like the Orthodox, that they have the answer and that they are persecuted scientists and promoters of truth. These despicable creatures would put ol' P. T. Barnum, Wm. Rockefeller and Barney Cornfield to shame; their techniques of deception are superb. Many of these creatures also deceive themselves and are pathological liars and psychopaths. The remainder are ignoramuses.
Somewhere along the line, the Cancer Victim turns to Al-mighty God and asks for deliverance, healing and help. When God sends help, like placing this booklet in front of their eyes, they refuse to accept it, spitting in the face of God, blaming God for their condition and finally turning from God to their own ignorance.
Sixth, my experience with Cancer Victims over the years has taught me a great deal about the mind set of these "Do It Your Self" survivors.
a). Many choose to continue to follow all the recommendations and treatments of their orthodox physicians, while at the same time, do our Metabolic program. This is usually disastrous and only about 6% survrve.
b). Some Cancer Victims, after their orthodox physician tells them the treatments are not effective and no further help can be expected, start our Metabolic Program. Experience has shown that 93% of these individuals who live long enough to stay on the Metabolic Program for 6 months recover completely and go on to live normal useful lives.
c). Often the Cancer Victim goes berserk and while accusing his orthodox and/or alternative doctor of being an ignoramus and not knowing what he is doing, ends up doing exacdy the same thing. He tries to play doctor without adequate scientific understanding. This seems to be an ego builder for the Cancer Victim. However, this is not successful and in the end is usually fatal.
d). Nearly everyone thinks that if a little bit of something is good, then a lot of everything is better. This results in about 9% effectiveness as well as unnecessarily expensive. To many, this is a fun game and entertaining. They say to themselves, "If have to go, I might as well have a blast!"
e). For those who have a great deal of wisdom and discernment along with 6 months' time, while following the Metabolic Program carefully are usually 99% successful.
Like in diabetes, the Cancer victim must always support his defective pancreas with proper diet as well as effective enzymes. He must remember, proper enzymes are difficult to obtain and always expensive.
Seventh, many Cancer Victims having been brainwashed by the Establishment, give up, believing they can never recover their health, seriously consider SUICIDE. If they elect to do this, there are several choices they can make.
a) Go first class and be slow about it. Return to the Orthodox Community. Here you will have all the sympathy of the National Cancer Institute, the American Cancer Society, Hospice Inc., The American Medical Association and many others. They will brainwash you and your loved ones with 'Oh, how brave and heroic you are, what a valiant fight you made." All this while plundering your estate and your loved ones.
b) Go to Detroit, Michigan and obtain the help of the suicide doctor if your doctor won't give his help.
Go to the interstate highway. Jump in front of a Semi. At least this will help your greedy lawyer send his kids to college.
LETTING GO
The most difficult procedure for the Cancer Victim is to let go of the false hope that both Orthodox and Alternative Medicine uses to control and plunder one. Frequently, due to their ignorance of the simple CANCER CURE the condition is fatal.
The program we had developed were functional until 30 August 1986. At that time, I gave up my practice of Metabolic Counseling and unplugged my computer because of activities of employees and doctors I had trained. I would not or will not be party to the plunder, fraud and conspiracy of CANCER victims and Metabolic Counselees.
Any program available today in my name (or claiming to be the 'Kelley Program' or better than the Kelley Program) are frauds and those who are issuing them should be considered a danger to your being. In giving the Cancer Victim HOPE and not false hope; my involvement is conditional upon giving the reader the complete story, not only of the plight of the Cancer Victims and the Metabolic Paradigm, but the missing nutrients for the cancer victim. Also, the Medical Establishment's all out effort to suppress the CANCER CURE and protect their interests and lawlessness. My interest is to provide a sound reliable understanding and effective Metabolic procedure to supply the required Metabolic support.
My objective is, as a teacher, to provide you with the necessary data, that if you choose, by which to live a long and useful life, never dying of Cancer. I would much rather have your friends and relatives read in the obituary column - you died at age 95 from gun-shot wounds, inflicted by a jealous lover - NOT FROM CANCER!
NOTES ON DENTISTS
Dentists are ignoramuses, bordering on stupidity. Dentists have killed more men, women and children since 1950 than all the wars of recorded history.
Dentists themselves have been royally screwed and conned by "the Establishment." Dentists have been used as willing pawns of the Establishment to plunder and murder our civilization by their support of the Establishment's covert FLUORIDE fraud "sting" operation. Dentists know from their required studies in biochemistry that fluoride is the most deadly poison known to mankind.
LEGAL POISONING
Over half of the U.S.A. population is drinking fluoridated water, which is now linked to cancer and arthritis. "Bone cancer has been linked to fluoride in a 10 year study by the National Toxicology Program of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. This sensational news was disclosed in an exclusive report in Medical Tribune, December 28, 1989, but ignored by the mass media. Also, Proctor and Gamble, the maker of Crest (a fluoride toothpaste), presented studies to the U.S. Public Health Service, showing that fluoride tested positive as a cancer-causing agent at the lowest concentrations used." According to Charles Eliot Perkins, a research chemist sent to Germany to take charge of the l.G. Farben Chemical Industries after World War II, repeated doses of fluoride were used to make people submissive to the government. Re wrote, "In the rear occiput of the left lobe of the brain, there is a small area of brain tissue that is responsible for the individual's power to resist domination. Repeated doses of fluorine will in time gradually reduce the individual's power to resist by slowly poisoning and narcotizing this area of brain tissue and make him submissive to those who wish to govern him. I was told the scheme by a German chemist who was an official of the I.G. Farben Chemical Industries and prominent in the Nazi movement of the tine. (The Fact Finder, Box A Scottsdale, AZ 85352)

Dental Cancer needlessly kills 10,000 people each year. Yet, dentists with all their legal licenses and education do not have integrity enough to stand up and be honest to our people and properly treat Dental Cancer.
Obesity

Dr. William Donald Kelley
Over a twenty-five year period, Dr. William Donald Kelley, a dentist by training, developed a complex approach to treating many chronic and degenerative diseases, including cancer. The three main elements of his metabolic program are nutrition, detoxification, and supplements of pancreatic enzymes. Although the controversial Kansas-born practitioner was condemned as a charlatan by the orthodox medical establishment, thousands; of severely ill patients sought his advice and followed his program, many with reported good results. Today, a number of practitioners claim to be using the Kelley regimen, though whether they actually are is open to question.
Interest in Kelley's therapy has increased dramatically in recent years, largely due to the work of Nicholas Gonzalez, a New York City physician who treats cancer patients in advanced or terminal stages using a modified version of the Kelley program. A graduate of Cornell University Medical School, Dr. Gonzalez undertook a five - year case study of Kelley's own cancer patients who had done well on the program. Gonzalez's 500-page study was prepared under the sponsorship of Robert Good, M.D., Ph.D., then president of Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center. It is "widely regarded as the finest case review ever conducted concerning an alternative cancer therapy," according to Misinformation From OTA on Unconventional Cancer Treatments, by Robert E. Houston.
"Gonzalez has given us convincing evidence that diet and nutrition produce long-term remission in cancer patients almost all of whom were beyond conventional help," wrote the late Harold Ladas, Ph.D., a biologist and former professor at Hunter College. "Because the cases [in Gonzalez's study] represent a wide variety of cancers, the implication is that the paradigm has wide applicability to cancer treatment. ...What should happen is that ACS [Americn Scancer Society] or NCI [National Cancer Institute] should immediately follow up with a half million dollar study to evaluate the rest of Kelley's cancer patients. But don't hold your breath," added Ladas, who concluded, "The evidence is in, and it is stunning. Kelley is vindicated."
Cancer & Protein Digestion
William Kelley held that a root cause of cancer is the body's inability to metabolize (digest and utilize) protein. "The person gets cancer because he's not properly metabolizing the protein in his diet," said Dr. Kelley. "Then, to make matters worse, the tumor has such a high metabolism that it uses up much of the food which is eaten." If a person's disordered protein metabolism is not corrected, Kelley continued, "it will give rise to more tumors in the future, even if the first one is successfully removed. This, by the way, is the unfortunate reason why so many seemingly successful cancer operations end up in recurrences a year or two later. The tumor was removed, but the cause-improper protein metabolism-remained."
Dr. Kelley linked faulty metabolism to a deficiency of pancreatic enzymes, which he regarded as a fundamental cause of cancer. He believed that certain pancreatic enzymes, especially those that are proteolytic (protein-digesting) enzymes, are the body's first line of defense against malignancy. This theory stands in marked contrast to conventional medicine, which holds that the immune system, with its natural killer cells, protects people against cancer.
As every biology student learns, the pancreas releases enzymes directly into the small intestine to aid digestion. But Kelley maintained that the pancreas also secretes enzymes into the bloodstream, where they circulate, reaching all body tissues and killing cancer cells by digesting them. Studies in the clinical literature lend support to this theory, first proposed by Dr. John Beard, a Scottish embryologist working at the turn of the century.
Mineral Imbalance & Immunity
Imbalance of mineral metabolism is another condition that allows malignancy to occur, according to Dr. Kelley. He identified mineral imbalance as a root cause of the breakdown of the immune system. Additionally, he said, cancer cells produce 1. immune-blocking factors and 2. seem to generate an electromagnetic force field that inhibits the proper response of the immune system.
The Kelley anti-cancer program combines
1. therapeutic nutrition,
2.supplements intended to destroy cancer cells, and
3. vigorous detoxification of the body.
Ten Metabolic Types
Kelley divided people into what he called ten metabolic types, with slow-oxidizing vegetarians at one extreme and fast-oxidizing carnivores at the other. Each person is different, he asserted, not only in nutritional needs but also in food utilization.
For each of the ten different metabolic types, a different nutritional program was recommended. An individualized diet was tailored to match the metabolic character of each patient, taking into account his or her physiology , neurological and physical make-up, basic metabolic rate, and personality. Some common threads ran through the diets, however. The consumption of raw, organic fruits and vegetables was emphasized, while protein intake was reduced considerably in order to to preserve the enzymes needed to digest the fruits and vegetables.
Supplements
In addition to following a diet,. Kelley's patients also took up to 150 supplement pills per day, including pancreatic enzymes, vitamins and minerals, and concentrates of raw beef or organs and glands , believed by Kelley to contain tissue-specific growth factors, hormones, natural stimulants, and "protective" molecules. A direct anti-tumor effect has been observed repeatedly in patients on various metabolic therapies who receive enzymes either orally or by injection. As the enzyme "digests" the tumor, large amounts of cellular debris are released into the bloodstream and surrounding tissues, according to Kelley.
Detoxification
These breakdown products from cancer cells are foreign to the normal body and can be very toxic, he maintained. Even though the liver and kidney can filter these substances out of the bloodstream, the wastes from tumor destruction form so quickly during enzyme therapy that the body's normal detoxification processes may become overloaded. To assist their bodies in detoxification, Kelley's patients periodically discontinued their enzymes and other supplements for several days. This rest period, Kelley believed, allows the liver and kidneys to catch up with the body's load of tumor by-products.
Coffee Enemas
As at second aid in detoxification, Kelley advised all his patients to take at least one coffee enema daily. His reasoning was that coffee enemas clean out the liver and gallbladder and help the body get rid of the toxins produced during tumor breakdown. During a coffee enema, claimed Kelley, the caffeine that is rapidly absorbed in the large intestine flows quickly into the liver. He held that in high enough concentrations, caffeine causes the liver and gallbladder to contract vigorously, releasing large amounts of stored wastes into the intestinal tract and greatly aiding elimination. Kelley also believed that enemas are important in stimulating the immune system, since most waste products eliminated by detoxification are enzyme inhibitors. Frequent enemas prevent the suppression of protein-digesting enzymes. These enzymes can break down the cancer cells' fibrin (protein) coats, making the cancer cells more vulnerable to the immune system.
Nonorthodox doctors other than Kelley, among them Dr. Max Gerson, have recommended coffee enemas.
Organ Flushes
The original Kelley program also included purges to cleanse the liver, gallbladder, intestines, kidneys, and lungs. Like many other metabolic therapists, Kelley believed that the functioning of these organs is severely impaired in the cancer patient. Colonic irrigations, liver and gallbladder flushes, and controlled sweating accomplished the cleansing tasks. Kelley also often recommended some form of manipulative therapy, such as chiropractic adjustment or osteopathic manipulation, to stimulate enervated nerves.
The Spiritual Component
A frequently overlooked aspect of the Kelley system is its spiritual component. Kelley called his approach metabolic ecology, taking into account the cancer patient's total environment-physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual. He urged the patient to "accept the fact that you are afflicted with a symptom (malignant cancer) and that recovery is possible. Establish a faith in a power greater than yourself and know that with His help you can regain health and harmony. Patients were encouraged to conduct a searching self-analysis and to eliminate negative behavioral patterns and emotions.
The Kelly Regimen
The rigorous Kelley regimen is not easy. It requires self-discipline and a strong will to alter established dietary and other habits. Some patients experience fear and anxiety during "healing crises" involving lymph-system swelling, pain, and fever, all normal responses as the body detoxifies and heals. Critics of the system are deeply troubled by the enormous number of pills the patient is required to consume. Orthodox medicine holds that mega-doses of vitamins and minerals are unnecessary and can be harmful. Excessive amounts of the fat-soluble vitamins (A, D, E, and K) are stored in the body and can be toxic, according to mainstream physicians.
But Kelley proponents counter that the nutritional program supplies various aids to the digestive system enabling the large doses of supplements to be absorbed and fully utilized. These digestive aids include hydrochloric acid, said to be abnormally low in many people, lessening their ability to digest proteins. Kelley also prescribed a combination of the herb comfrey and the digestive enzyme pepsin. These supplements dissolve the mucous coatings that cover the villi ( the fingerlike projections) of the small intestine and block the absorption of nutrients.
Kelley's theory that people are genetically carnivorous, vegetarian. or somewhere in-between is rejected by many vegetarians and by others.
Coffee Enemas
Some prospective patients were put off by the idea of frequent enemas, although Kelley claimed that most of his patients quickly adapted to this procedure. In fact, many patients on metabolic-therapy programs have reported a dramatic increase in energy and improved outlook after a coffee enema, presumably because of the elimination of toxins from the bloodstream, cells, and liver. The procedure appears to, calm and soothe the nervous system, dispelling nausea, irritability, lethargy. lack of appetite, and sometimes even severe pain.
Pat Judson, a woman from Dearborn, Michigan, became Dr. Kelley's patient in 1972, having been operated on for cancer of the colon two years earlier. She is now in excellent health and completely cancer-free after her original diagnosis of "incurable" cancer. As she told a Michigan State Legislature committee investigating alternative cancer treatments in 1977, "I speak as . . . a cancer patient who seven years ago was sent home to die by a doctor who told me there was nothing more traditional medicine could do for me . . . One of the doctors that performed my surgery told me that I had the fastest growing type known to man and cobalt or chemotherapy would not help me. Expressing surprise that I even survived the surgery, he told , me I had six months to a year to live. However. I was given diethyl-stilbestrol [DES] for hormone balance since they had also removed my ovaries. I have wondered many times why a medical doctor would prescribe a cancer-producing drug to a cancer patient."
In January 1972, almost two years after the original surgery, Pat had a recurrence of the blockage of her colon and the cancer had metastasized to the lymph glands. Reluctant to go through the ordeal of surgery a second time, she turned to a different doctor who, advised her that she might survive "possibly three months" with surgery. At that point, she heard of the nutritional therapy of Dr. Kelley and went to visit him in Texas.
After taking a blood sample and conducting diagnostic tests that were subjected to computer analysis. Kelley determined that Pat had a cancer index of 600. This scale was devised by Kelley to gauge the body's ability to defend itself; it runs from an optimal 1 (normal) to 1.000 (terminal, beyond help). Following these tests, Kelley prescribed a combination of diet, rest, exercise, and detoxification.
When Pat Judson returned to Kelley's office five months later for a checkup, her index rating had dropped to 300 and her cancer was under control. Eleven months after the initial visit, a shriveled mass of excreted material was found to be necrotic, or dead, tissue from the colon tumor. Pat's next cancer-index reading with Kelley was 50, which is within the normal range. Standard diagnostic tests subsequently confirmed her to be in remission.
During Pat's first operation in 1970, her surgeon had noticed a lump in her throat that she had had since girlhood He said it might have been a "leader" for the cancer. As Pat continued on a Kelley maintenance protocol after being diagnosed in remission, she also took Essiac, the Canadian herbal tea that has helped many cancer patients. (Note: Some practitioners strongly advise against combining the Kelley program with Essiac or any other herbal remedy. They contend that the herbs work against the enzyme supplements.)
Pat Judson served as president of the Metro-Detroit chapter of the Foundation for Advancement in Cancer Therapy (FACT), in which capacity she told a Michigan State Legislature committee, "If I had accepted the advice of my doctor, if I had not been directed to Dr. Kelley, I would be another cancer statistic. " In her speech, she also rebuked the medical establishment for its constant harassment of Dr. Kelley.
Kelly Comes Under Attack
Kelley's problems with the medical orthodoxy intensified in 1969, when he self-published his book One Answer to Cancer, which became a best-seller in the "nutritional underground." The dietary program presented in the book was a distillation of his personal battle against illness. In 1964, according to Kelley, he was told by a doctor that he had metastasized pancreatic cancer, one of the deadliest forms of the disease, and that he had only weeks to live. There is no biopsy verification for his cancer. His internist recommended surgery, but the surgeon felt Kelley wouldn't survive the operation.
With nothing to lose, Kelley, who holds a Doctorate of Dental Surgery (D.D.S.) from Baylor University in Dallas and has an extensive background in nutrition, began his own impromptu course of nutritional therapy and lifestyle changes. As he gradually recovered, he felt he had stumbled across a scientific discovery and undertook further research to refine his program.
As One Answer to Cancer soared in popularity, Texas medical and legal officials launched an investigation of its author in 1969. Undercover officials posed as patients. A restraining order prohibited Kelley from treating non-dental disease, and a local district court made it illegal for him to distribute One Answer to Cancer or any other publication discussing his approach to degenerative illness. Dr. Kelley appealed the decision to the United States Supreme Court, arguing that the restraining order was a flagrant violation of his First Amendment rights. But the Supreme Court upheld the ruling. "To my knowledge, Dr. Kelley remains the only scientist in this country's history ever forbidden by court decree from publishing," notes Dr. Gonzalez.
In 1971, the American Cancer Society put Kelley's therapy on its "Unproven Methods" blacklist, where it remains. To this day, no ACS scientist has ever attempted a direct, objective evaluation of Kelley's methods and results.
After the Texas dental board suspended his license for five years in 1976, Kelley moved to Winthrop, Washington, where he continued his nutritional practice. He later moved to Pennsylvania.
Kelley's most highly publicized encounter with the medical establishment began in 1980, when he agreed to treat actor Steve McQueen, suffering from advanced mesothelioma, a rare, nearly always fatal form of lung cancer. McQueen's malignancy was too extensive for surgery, and his terminal condition was completely hopeless. Nevertheless, on Kelley's advice, McQueen entered a small Mexican hospital where doctors claimed to use the Kelley program. McQueen never followed the full Kelley protocol; he smoked and smuggled junk food into his room. Even so, after eight weeks on a partial Kelley regimen, his tumor had stopped growing, he no longer felt a need for painkillers, and he had put on weight. His doctors expressed some cause for optimism. However, McQueen eventually discontinued the program. He died in November 1980, just hours after undergoing surgery to remove an apparently dead tumor mass in his abdomen.
The ensuing publicity triggered a media assault on Kelley organized by the American medical community. Spokesmen for the ACS, NCI, and leading medical schools condemned Kelley and his methods vociferously, without ever bothering to examine the details of McQueen's treatment.
Kelley claimed a high success rate with patients on his therapy. For those with a predicted life expectancy of about three months, he said that a well-designed nutritional program would yield "slightly better than a 50-50 chance of survival." For those with a very advanced disease, given less than three months to live, he claimed a success rate between 25 and 35 percent. These figures have not been verified and should be treated with caution. Yet according to Ruth Sackman, executive director of FACT, an educational organization that leans toward a nutritional-metabolic approach, "Enough of Kelley's patients lived ten years or more to suggest a pattern of survival and to indicate that he was using a basically sound system."
Kelly Questionaire
In Kelley's elaborate system of diagnosis and treatment, patients answered a detailed questionnaire, a nutritional survey consisting of up to 3,200 questions. The results were assessed by computer, and each patient was then fitted into Kelley's classification system of metabolic typing, which he used in treating a wide variety of diseases.
To understand Kelley's metabolic typing system, let us quickly review the ABCs of metabolism. The human body has two nervous systems. The central nervous system (CNS) regulates conscious movement, and the autonomic nervous system (ANS) governs unconscious actions such as digestion, the secretion of enzymes and hormones, breathing, blood circulation, and heartbeat. The ANS plays a key role in the way cells transform food into energy
There are two branches of the ANS - the sympathetic system, which tends to speed up body metabolism, and the parasympathetic system, which slows down metabolism. Kelley's thesis is that people can be divided into three genetically based categories that evolved in distinctive environments under evolutionary pressure. Each metabolic type reflects an inborn balance in the activities of these two subsystems.
According to Kelley, people who are slow-oxidizing "sympathetic dominant" types thrive on high-carbohydrate, low-protein foods and are meant to eat a largely vegetarian diet. Fast-oxidizing "parasympathetic dominants" grow hungry and weak between meals, so Kelley suggested that they follow a diet providing at least half of their total calories from fatty meat. "Balanced types," having both branches of the autonomic nervous system equally developed, were said to thrive on a wide variety of foods.
If a person follows the "wrong" diet, in Kelley's theory, disease' is more likely to develop. For each of the three basic types (broken down into ten metabolic sub-types), he recommended a diet that would push the autonomic nervous system toward metabolic equilibrium. Furthermore, he linked specific syndromes and illnesses with each of the three types. "Hard tumors" - malignancies of the internal organs such as lung or colon cancer-were held to be more likely to afflict severely imbalanced "sympathetic dominants." "Soft tumors" - cancers of the white blood cells and lymph system - were linked with "parasympathetic dominants."
Dr. Nicholas Gonzalez
Dr. Nicholas Gonzalez, the New York City physician mentioned at the beginning of this chapter who uses a modified Kelley program, visited Dr. Kelley in Texas in 1981 and was given access to all of Kelley's records. Gonzalez was amazed to discover case after case of patients with advanced metastatic cancer who were healthy and active five, ten, and fifteen years after diagnosis.
Gonzalez interviewed 455 Kelley patients in depth, then narrowed down the group to 160 after eliminating the patients whom he considered inadequately diagnosed, others who had received intensive orthodox therapy, others who had been apparently "cured of their disease before they consulted Dr. Kelley ," and still others who did not meet the selection criteria. Eventually, Gonzalez selected 50 patients whom he considered representative cases rather than Kelley's best cases.
These 50 patients represented a broad spectrum of cancer types, including long-term survivors of cancer of the breast, colon, ovaries, pancreas, and prostate. According to Gonzalez's findings:
* 22 of the .patients " ..experienced documented regression of cancer while pursuing the Kelley program. None in this group received orthodox therapy during this period of improvement.
* Another 5 patients described regression of superficial, biopsy-proven malignancies, such as breast tumors or cancerous lymph nodes . . . [but] never returned to their orthodox physicians for follow-up studies.
* six patients were found at surgery to have extensive inoperable abdominal or pelvic disease, such as metastatic pancreatic or prostate carcinoma. All these patients were given terminal prognoses. None have ever returned to their orthodox physicians, so strictly speaking I have no proof of tumor regression . . . [although] each of these people has survived for years with cancer that usually kills within t months.
Pancreatic cancer is one of the deadliest forms of the disease; the five-year survival rate in orthodox medicine is essentially 0 percent. Dr. Gonza1ez reviewed the records of all 22 patients whom Kelley had diagnosed with pancreatic cancer between 1974 and 1982. Five of these 22 patients followed the Kelley program completely. Their median survival (at the time of Gonzalez's study in 1987) was nine years, and 4 of the 5 are alive today; one died of Alzheimer's disease. This is a 100 percent remission rate for those who adhered to the full Kelley regimen. (The 10 patients with pancreatic cancer who never followed the treatment had a median survival time of 67 days. Seven who partially followed the program had a median survival time of 233 days.)
These reported results are virtually unheard of in conventional treatment. Orthodox medicine gives a median survival time of two to six months for panreatic cancer.
One of Kelley's patients whom Gonzalez investigated was Robert Dunn, a sixty-two-year-old man from Missouri diagnosed with inoperable pancreatic cancer in June 1977. The formal diagnosis, as it appears in the medical records, reads, "Carcinoma of the pancreas - unresectable, incurable." Although his traditional physician recommended both chemotherapy and radiation, Bunn was told he would probably not live a year even with aggressive treatment. Refusing both options, he took a brief course of laetrile in Mexico, then consulted Dr. Kelley and, in August 1977, began the full Kelley protocol.
Within a year, Dunn said, he felt better than at any other time in his life. A follow-up CAT scan indicated that the once-large pancreatic tumor had completely regressed. Exploratory surgery in 1983 to remove a small bowel obstruction further confirmed that the tumor was gone. When last contacted by Dr. Gonzalez more then ten years after his original diagnosis, Dunn was following a maintenance protocol and was in excellent health.
Dr. Gonzalez treats advanced cancer patients with a Kelley-derived program. He keeps careful records of his own patients and also monitors many of Kelley's patients who have survived ten years or more. He claims that approximately 80 percent of his patients are doing well on his therapy. Most of his patients have already been heavily treated with surgery, radiation, or chemotherapy and, having failed these modalities, come to him with a prognosis of two to three months to live.
In May 1985, doctors removed roughly ten pounds of tumor from Bonnie Randolph, a clinical psychologist from Bala Cynwyd, Pennsylvania. They also performed a total hysterectomy. Bonnie's ovarian cancer had grown silently for eight years, according to the doctors, - and had spread to her abdominal organs. The survival rates in such cases are less than 20 percent. Over the next year, Bonnie underwent eight courses of chemotherapy and two more major operations, all of which failed to eradicate the cancer. By the fourth chemotherapy treatment, her bone marrow was suppressed to such an extent that her white blood count had plunged from a normal of 4,000 to less than 100. After the second major surgery, in March 1986, her doctor injected a massive dose of radioactive phosphorus into her abdomen, "which he said would be my quota of radiation for the rest of my life," according to Bonnie. Six ovarian cancer specialists then told her that despite the radiation treatment, she had a year to live at the most.
Bonnie, who tells her remarkable, moving story in the November 1991 issue of East West, began investigating alternative therapies through a cancer referral service. "I had known there were cancer survivors who had beaten the odds by using nontraditional forms of treatment. What I did not know was that there were so many of them-and that they were doing so well." She became a patient of William Kelley, and her CA 125-a standard medical test for ovarian cancer-dropped from 29 to 11. (A reading above 35 indicates tumor growth.) Her pelvic exams were negative. But Dr. Kelley abruptly moved away into semi-retirement. A few months later, the ovarian cancer returned. Her conventional doctor insisted that Bonnie undergo radiation once more, even though it would not save her life. When Bonnie refused to submit her body to more damage from radiation therapy, her doctor became incensed. "'You'll be dead in two months,' he yelled at me over the phone."
For two months, Bonnie followed a strict nutritional program, which she believes kept her alive, while searching for a responsible alternative practitioner. In January 1988,' she began the Kelley - derived program with Dr. Gonzalez in New York. "He warned me that it could be years before I became completely well again because of all the damage the chemo and radiation had done to my immune system," she says. Under Dr. Gonzalez's supervision, Bonnie followed, an organic vegetarian diet (one of the ten diets prescribed) and took massive doses of pancreatic enzymes, nutritional supplements, and coffee enemas.
Today, more than six years after her initial diagnosis, Bonnie is, alive, free of pain, and writing a book about her experience. Her last three Pap smears were normal. Although she still has evidence of cancer and works hard to maintain good health, she keeps the cancer l. under control with a maintenance protocol of pancreatic enzymes, supplements, and sound nutrition and hopes to achieve complete remission. "The Gonzalez regimen requires discipline," Bonnie reflects, "but this is a small price to pay for having the chance to live out my life. And implementing the program is in my hands, so I feel that I am in command of my health care."
In a review of the Gonzalez study published in a leading insurance industry journal, Robert Maver, vice president and research director of Mutual Benefit Life, stated, "The Research Division has been evaluating Dr. Gonzalez' results over the last four months, including numerous site visits. ...The results are indeed extraordinary." He added, "This is a prime example of an innovative therapy that merits evaluation, but is being ignored. As costly as cancer is to our industry, and in light of such promising and cost-effective preliminary results, our industry should consider funding such a trial."

Over a twenty-five year period, Dr. William Donald Kelley, a dentist by training, developed a complex approach to treating many chronic and degenerative diseases, including cancer. The three main elements of his metabolic program are nutrition, detoxification, and supplements of pancreatic enzymes. Although the controversial Kansas-born practitioner was condemned as a charlatan by the orthodox medical establishment, thousands; of severely ill patients sought his advice and followed his program, many with reported good results. Today, a number of practitioners claim to be using the Kelley regimen, though whether they actually are is open to question.
Interest in Kelley's therapy has increased dramatically in recent years, largely due to the work of Nicholas Gonzalez, a New York City physician who treats cancer patients in advanced or terminal stages using a modified version of the Kelley program. A graduate of Cornell University Medical School, Dr. Gonzalez undertook a five - year case study of Kelley's own cancer patients who had done well on the program. Gonzalez's 500-page study was prepared under the sponsorship of Robert Good, M.D., Ph.D., then president of Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center. It is "widely regarded as the finest case review ever conducted concerning an alternative cancer therapy," according to Misinformation From OTA on Unconventional Cancer Treatments, by Robert E. Houston.
"Gonzalez has given us convincing evidence that diet and nutrition produce long-term remission in cancer patients almost all of whom were beyond conventional help," wrote the late Harold Ladas, Ph.D., a biologist and former professor at Hunter College. "Because the cases [in Gonzalez's study] represent a wide variety of cancers, the implication is that the paradigm has wide applicability to cancer treatment. ...What should happen is that ACS [Americn Scancer Society] or NCI [National Cancer Institute] should immediately follow up with a half million dollar study to evaluate the rest of Kelley's cancer patients. But don't hold your breath," added Ladas, who concluded, "The evidence is in, and it is stunning. Kelley is vindicated."
Cancer & Protein Digestion
William Kelley held that a root cause of cancer is the body's inability to metabolize (digest and utilize) protein. "The person gets cancer because he's not properly metabolizing the protein in his diet," said Dr. Kelley. "Then, to make matters worse, the tumor has such a high metabolism that it uses up much of the food which is eaten." If a person's disordered protein metabolism is not corrected, Kelley continued, "it will give rise to more tumors in the future, even if the first one is successfully removed. This, by the way, is the unfortunate reason why so many seemingly successful cancer operations end up in recurrences a year or two later. The tumor was removed, but the cause-improper protein metabolism-remained."
Dr. Kelley linked faulty metabolism to a deficiency of pancreatic enzymes, which he regarded as a fundamental cause of cancer. He believed that certain pancreatic enzymes, especially those that are proteolytic (protein-digesting) enzymes, are the body's first line of defense against malignancy. This theory stands in marked contrast to conventional medicine, which holds that the immune system, with its natural killer cells, protects people against cancer.
As every biology student learns, the pancreas releases enzymes directly into the small intestine to aid digestion. But Kelley maintained that the pancreas also secretes enzymes into the bloodstream, where they circulate, reaching all body tissues and killing cancer cells by digesting them. Studies in the clinical literature lend support to this theory, first proposed by Dr. John Beard, a Scottish embryologist working at the turn of the century.
Mineral Imbalance & Immunity
Imbalance of mineral metabolism is another condition that allows malignancy to occur, according to Dr. Kelley. He identified mineral imbalance as a root cause of the breakdown of the immune system. Additionally, he said, cancer cells produce 1. immune-blocking factors and 2. seem to generate an electromagnetic force field that inhibits the proper response of the immune system.
The Kelley anti-cancer program combines
1. therapeutic nutrition,
2.supplements intended to destroy cancer cells, and
3. vigorous detoxification of the body.
Ten Metabolic Types
Kelley divided people into what he called ten metabolic types, with slow-oxidizing vegetarians at one extreme and fast-oxidizing carnivores at the other. Each person is different, he asserted, not only in nutritional needs but also in food utilization.
For each of the ten different metabolic types, a different nutritional program was recommended. An individualized diet was tailored to match the metabolic character of each patient, taking into account his or her physiology , neurological and physical make-up, basic metabolic rate, and personality. Some common threads ran through the diets, however. The consumption of raw, organic fruits and vegetables was emphasized, while protein intake was reduced considerably in order to to preserve the enzymes needed to digest the fruits and vegetables.
Supplements
In addition to following a diet,. Kelley's patients also took up to 150 supplement pills per day, including pancreatic enzymes, vitamins and minerals, and concentrates of raw beef or organs and glands , believed by Kelley to contain tissue-specific growth factors, hormones, natural stimulants, and "protective" molecules. A direct anti-tumor effect has been observed repeatedly in patients on various metabolic therapies who receive enzymes either orally or by injection. As the enzyme "digests" the tumor, large amounts of cellular debris are released into the bloodstream and surrounding tissues, according to Kelley.
Detoxification
These breakdown products from cancer cells are foreign to the normal body and can be very toxic, he maintained. Even though the liver and kidney can filter these substances out of the bloodstream, the wastes from tumor destruction form so quickly during enzyme therapy that the body's normal detoxification processes may become overloaded. To assist their bodies in detoxification, Kelley's patients periodically discontinued their enzymes and other supplements for several days. This rest period, Kelley believed, allows the liver and kidneys to catch up with the body's load of tumor by-products.
Coffee Enemas
As at second aid in detoxification, Kelley advised all his patients to take at least one coffee enema daily. His reasoning was that coffee enemas clean out the liver and gallbladder and help the body get rid of the toxins produced during tumor breakdown. During a coffee enema, claimed Kelley, the caffeine that is rapidly absorbed in the large intestine flows quickly into the liver. He held that in high enough concentrations, caffeine causes the liver and gallbladder to contract vigorously, releasing large amounts of stored wastes into the intestinal tract and greatly aiding elimination. Kelley also believed that enemas are important in stimulating the immune system, since most waste products eliminated by detoxification are enzyme inhibitors. Frequent enemas prevent the suppression of protein-digesting enzymes. These enzymes can break down the cancer cells' fibrin (protein) coats, making the cancer cells more vulnerable to the immune system.
Nonorthodox doctors other than Kelley, among them Dr. Max Gerson, have recommended coffee enemas.
Organ Flushes
The original Kelley program also included purges to cleanse the liver, gallbladder, intestines, kidneys, and lungs. Like many other metabolic therapists, Kelley believed that the functioning of these organs is severely impaired in the cancer patient. Colonic irrigations, liver and gallbladder flushes, and controlled sweating accomplished the cleansing tasks. Kelley also often recommended some form of manipulative therapy, such as chiropractic adjustment or osteopathic manipulation, to stimulate enervated nerves.
The Spiritual Component
A frequently overlooked aspect of the Kelley system is its spiritual component. Kelley called his approach metabolic ecology, taking into account the cancer patient's total environment-physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual. He urged the patient to "accept the fact that you are afflicted with a symptom (malignant cancer) and that recovery is possible. Establish a faith in a power greater than yourself and know that with His help you can regain health and harmony. Patients were encouraged to conduct a searching self-analysis and to eliminate negative behavioral patterns and emotions.
The Kelly Regimen
The rigorous Kelley regimen is not easy. It requires self-discipline and a strong will to alter established dietary and other habits. Some patients experience fear and anxiety during "healing crises" involving lymph-system swelling, pain, and fever, all normal responses as the body detoxifies and heals. Critics of the system are deeply troubled by the enormous number of pills the patient is required to consume. Orthodox medicine holds that mega-doses of vitamins and minerals are unnecessary and can be harmful. Excessive amounts of the fat-soluble vitamins (A, D, E, and K) are stored in the body and can be toxic, according to mainstream physicians.
But Kelley proponents counter that the nutritional program supplies various aids to the digestive system enabling the large doses of supplements to be absorbed and fully utilized. These digestive aids include hydrochloric acid, said to be abnormally low in many people, lessening their ability to digest proteins. Kelley also prescribed a combination of the herb comfrey and the digestive enzyme pepsin. These supplements dissolve the mucous coatings that cover the villi ( the fingerlike projections) of the small intestine and block the absorption of nutrients.
Kelley's theory that people are genetically carnivorous, vegetarian. or somewhere in-between is rejected by many vegetarians and by others.
Coffee Enemas
Some prospective patients were put off by the idea of frequent enemas, although Kelley claimed that most of his patients quickly adapted to this procedure. In fact, many patients on metabolic-therapy programs have reported a dramatic increase in energy and improved outlook after a coffee enema, presumably because of the elimination of toxins from the bloodstream, cells, and liver. The procedure appears to, calm and soothe the nervous system, dispelling nausea, irritability, lethargy. lack of appetite, and sometimes even severe pain.
Pat Judson, a woman from Dearborn, Michigan, became Dr. Kelley's patient in 1972, having been operated on for cancer of the colon two years earlier. She is now in excellent health and completely cancer-free after her original diagnosis of "incurable" cancer. As she told a Michigan State Legislature committee investigating alternative cancer treatments in 1977, "I speak as . . . a cancer patient who seven years ago was sent home to die by a doctor who told me there was nothing more traditional medicine could do for me . . . One of the doctors that performed my surgery told me that I had the fastest growing type known to man and cobalt or chemotherapy would not help me. Expressing surprise that I even survived the surgery, he told , me I had six months to a year to live. However. I was given diethyl-stilbestrol [DES] for hormone balance since they had also removed my ovaries. I have wondered many times why a medical doctor would prescribe a cancer-producing drug to a cancer patient."
In January 1972, almost two years after the original surgery, Pat had a recurrence of the blockage of her colon and the cancer had metastasized to the lymph glands. Reluctant to go through the ordeal of surgery a second time, she turned to a different doctor who, advised her that she might survive "possibly three months" with surgery. At that point, she heard of the nutritional therapy of Dr. Kelley and went to visit him in Texas.
After taking a blood sample and conducting diagnostic tests that were subjected to computer analysis. Kelley determined that Pat had a cancer index of 600. This scale was devised by Kelley to gauge the body's ability to defend itself; it runs from an optimal 1 (normal) to 1.000 (terminal, beyond help). Following these tests, Kelley prescribed a combination of diet, rest, exercise, and detoxification.

In 1964, according to Kelley, he was told by a doctor that he had metastasized pancreatic cancer, one of the deadliest forms of the disease, and that he had only weeks to live. There is no biopsy verification for his cancer. His internist recommended surgery, but the surgeon felt Kelley wouldn't survive the operation.
With nothing to lose, Kelley, who holds a Doctorate of Dental Surgery (D.D.S.) from Baylor University in Dallas and has an extensive background in nutrition, began his own impromptu course of nutritional therapy and lifestyle changes. As he gradually recovered, he felt he had stumbled across a scientific discovery and undertook further research to refine his program.
As One Answer to Cancer soared in popularity, Texas medical and legal officials launched an investigation of its author in 1969. Undercover officials posed as patients. A restraining order prohibited Kelley from treating non-dental disease, and a local district court made it illegal for him to distribute One Answer to Cancer or any other publication discussing his approach to degenerative illness. Dr. Kelley appealed the decision to the United States Supreme Court, arguing that the restraining order was a flagrant violation of his First Amendment rights. But the Supreme Court upheld the ruling. "To my knowledge, Dr. Kelley remains the only scientist in this country's history ever forbidden by court decree from publishing," notes Dr. Gonzalez.
In 1971, the American Cancer Society put Kelley's therapy on its "Unproven Methods" blacklist, where it remains. To this day, no ACS scientist has ever attempted a direct, objective evaluation of Kelley's methods and results.
After the Texas dental board suspended his license for five years in 1976, Kelley moved to Winthrop, Washington, where he continued his nutritional practice. He later moved to Pennsylvania.
Kelley's most highly publicized encounter with the medical establishment began in 1980, when he agreed to treat actor Steve McQueen, suffering from advanced mesothelioma, a rare, nearly always fatal form of lung cancer. McQueen's malignancy was too extensive for surgery, and his terminal condition was completely hopeless. Nevertheless, on Kelley's advice, McQueen entered a small Mexican hospital where doctors claimed to use the Kelley program. McQueen never followed the full Kelley protocol; he smoked and smuggled junk food into his room. Even so, after eight weeks on a partial Kelley regimen, his tumor had stopped growing, he no longer felt a need for painkillers, and he had put on weight. His doctors expressed some cause for optimism. However, McQueen eventually discontinued the program. He died in November 1980, just hours after undergoing surgery to remove an apparently dead tumor mass in his abdomen.
The ensuing publicity triggered a media assault on Kelley organized by the American medical community. Spokesmen for the ACS, NCI, and leading medical schools condemned Kelley and his methods vociferously, without ever bothering to examine the details of McQueen's treatment.
Kelley claimed a high success rate with patients on his therapy. For those with a predicted life expectancy of about three months, he said that a well-designed nutritional program would yield "slightly better than a 50-50 chance of survival." For those with a very advanced disease, given less than three months to live, he claimed a success rate between 25 and 35 percent. These figures have not been verified and should be treated with caution. Yet according to Ruth Sackman, executive director of FACT, an educational organization that leans toward a nutritional-metabolic approach, "Enough of Kelley's patients lived ten years or more to suggest a pattern of survival and to indicate that he was using a basically sound system."
Kelly Questionaire
In Kelley's elaborate system of diagnosis and treatment, patients answered a detailed questionnaire, a nutritional survey consisting of up to 3,200 questions. The results were assessed by computer, and each patient was then fitted into Kelley's classification system of metabolic typing, which he used in treating a wide variety of diseases.
To understand Kelley's metabolic typing system, let us quickly review the ABCs of metabolism. The human body has two nervous systems. The central nervous system (CNS) regulates conscious movement, and the autonomic nervous system (ANS) governs unconscious actions such as digestion, the secretion of enzymes and hormones, breathing, blood circulation, and heartbeat. The ANS plays a key role in the way cells transform food into energy
There are two branches of the ANS - the sympathetic system, which tends to speed up body metabolism, and the parasympathetic system, which slows down metabolism. Kelley's thesis is that people can be divided into three genetically based categories that evolved in distinctive environments under evolutionary pressure. Each metabolic type reflects an inborn balance in the activities of these two subsystems.
According to Kelley, people who are slow-oxidizing "sympathetic dominant" types thrive on high-carbohydrate, low-protein foods and are meant to eat a largely vegetarian diet. Fast-oxidizing "parasympathetic dominants" grow hungry and weak between meals, so Kelley suggested that they follow a diet providing at least half of their total calories from fatty meat. "Balanced types," having both branches of the autonomic nervous system equally developed, were said to thrive on a wide variety of foods.
If a person follows the "wrong" diet, in Kelley's theory, disease' is more likely to develop. For each of the three basic types (broken down into ten metabolic sub-types), he recommended a diet that would push the autonomic nervous system toward metabolic equilibrium. Furthermore, he linked specific syndromes and illnesses with each of the three types. "Hard tumors" - malignancies of the internal organs such as lung or colon cancer-were held to be more likely to afflict severely imbalanced "sympathetic dominants." "Soft tumors" - cancers of the white blood cells and lymph system - were linked with "parasympathetic dominants."
Dr. Nicholas Gonzalez
Dr. Nicholas Gonzalez, the New York City physician mentioned at the beginning of this chapter who uses a modified Kelley program, visited Dr. Kelley in Texas in 1981 and was given access to all of Kelley's records. Gonzalez was amazed to discover case after case of patients with advanced metastatic cancer who were healthy and active five, ten, and fifteen years after diagnosis.
Gonzalez interviewed 455 Kelley patients in depth, then narrowed down the group to 160 after eliminating the patients whom he considered inadequately diagnosed, others who had received intensive orthodox therapy, others who had been apparently "cured of their disease before they consulted Dr. Kelley ," and still others who did not meet the selection criteria. Eventually, Gonzalez selected 50 patients whom he considered representative cases rather than Kelley's best cases.
These 50 patients represented a broad spectrum of cancer types, including long-term survivors of cancer of the breast, colon, ovaries, pancreas, and prostate. According to Gonzalez's findings:
* 22 of the .patients " ..experienced documented regression of cancer while pursuing the Kelley program. None in this group received orthodox therapy during this period of improvement.
* Another 5 patients described regression of superficial, biopsy-proven malignancies, such as breast tumors or cancerous lymph nodes . . . [but] never returned to their orthodox physicians for follow-up studies.
* six patients were found at surgery to have extensive inoperable abdominal or pelvic disease, such as metastatic pancreatic or prostate carcinoma. All these patients were given terminal prognoses. None have ever returned to their orthodox physicians, so strictly speaking I have no proof of tumor regression . . . [although] each of these people has survived for years with cancer that usually kills within t months.
Pancreatic cancer is one of the deadliest forms of the disease; the five-year survival rate in orthodox medicine is essentially 0 percent. Dr. Gonza1ez reviewed the records of all 22 patients whom Kelley had diagnosed with pancreatic cancer between 1974 and 1982. Five of these 22 patients followed the Kelley program completely. Their median survival (at the time of Gonzalez's study in 1987) was nine years, and 4 of the 5 are alive today; one died of Alzheimer's disease. This is a 100 percent remission rate for those who adhered to the full Kelley regimen. (The 10 patients with pancreatic cancer who never followed the treatment had a median survival time of 67 days. Seven who partially followed the program had a median survival time of 233 days.)
These reported results are virtually unheard of in conventional treatment. Orthodox medicine gives a median survival time of two to six months for panreatic cancer.
One of Kelley's patients whom Gonzalez investigated was Robert Dunn, a sixty-two-year-old man from Missouri diagnosed with inoperable pancreatic cancer in June 1977. The formal diagnosis, as it appears in the medical records, reads, "Carcinoma of the pancreas - unresectable, incurable." Although his traditional physician recommended both chemotherapy and radiation, Bunn was told he would probably not live a year even with aggressive treatment. Refusing both options, he took a brief course of laetrile in Mexico, then consulted Dr. Kelley and, in August 1977, began the full Kelley protocol.
Within a year, Dunn said, he felt better than at any other time in his life. A follow-up CAT scan indicated that the once-large pancreatic tumor had completely regressed. Exploratory surgery in 1983 to remove a small bowel obstruction further confirmed that the tumor was gone. When last contacted by Dr. Gonzalez more then ten years after his original diagnosis, Dunn was following a maintenance protocol and was in excellent health.
Dr. Gonzalez treats advanced cancer patients with a Kelley-derived program. He keeps careful records of his own patients and also monitors many of Kelley's patients who have survived ten years or more. He claims that approximately 80 percent of his patients are doing well on his therapy. Most of his patients have already been heavily treated with surgery, radiation, or chemotherapy and, having failed these modalities, come to him with a prognosis of two to three months to live.
In May 1985, doctors removed roughly ten pounds of tumor from Bonnie Randolph, a clinical psychologist from Bala Cynwyd, Pennsylvania. They also performed a total hysterectomy. Bonnie's ovarian cancer had grown silently for eight years, according to the doctors, - and had spread to her abdominal organs. The survival rates in such cases are less than 20 percent. Over the next year, Bonnie underwent eight courses of chemotherapy and two more major operations, all of which failed to eradicate the cancer. By the fourth chemotherapy treatment, her bone marrow was suppressed to such an extent that her white blood count had plunged from a normal of 4,000 to less than 100. After the second major surgery, in March 1986, her doctor injected a massive dose of radioactive phosphorus into her abdomen, "which he said would be my quota of radiation for the rest of my life," according to Bonnie. Six ovarian cancer specialists then told her that despite the radiation treatment, she had a year to live at the most.
Bonnie, who tells her remarkable, moving story in the November 1991 issue of East West, began investigating alternative therapies through a cancer referral service. "I had known there were cancer survivors who had beaten the odds by using nontraditional forms of treatment. What I did not know was that there were so many of them-and that they were doing so well." She became a patient of William Kelley, and her CA 125-a standard medical test for ovarian cancer-dropped from 29 to 11. (A reading above 35 indicates tumor growth.) Her pelvic exams were negative. But Dr. Kelley abruptly moved away into semi-retirement. A few months later, the ovarian cancer returned. Her conventional doctor insisted that Bonnie undergo radiation once more, even though it would not save her life. When Bonnie refused to submit her body to more damage from radiation therapy, her doctor became incensed. "'You'll be dead in two months,' he yelled at me over the phone."
For two months, Bonnie followed a strict nutritional program, which she believes kept her alive, while searching for a responsible alternative practitioner. In January 1988,' she began the Kelley - derived program with Dr. Gonzalez in New York. "He warned me that it could be years before I became completely well again because of all the damage the chemo and radiation had done to my immune system," she says. Under Dr. Gonzalez's supervision, Bonnie followed, an organic vegetarian diet (one of the ten diets prescribed) and took massive doses of pancreatic enzymes, nutritional supplements, and coffee enemas.
Today, more than six years after her initial diagnosis, Bonnie is, alive, free of pain, and writing a book about her experience. Her last three Pap smears were normal. Although she still has evidence of cancer and works hard to maintain good health, she keeps the cancer l. under control with a maintenance protocol of pancreatic enzymes, supplements, and sound nutrition and hopes to achieve complete remission. "The Gonzalez regimen requires discipline," Bonnie reflects, "but this is a small price to pay for having the chance to live out my life. And implementing the program is in my hands, so I feel that I am in command of my health care."
In a review of the Gonzalez study published in a leading insurance industry journal, Robert Maver, vice president and research director of Mutual Benefit Life, stated, "The Research Division has been evaluating Dr. Gonzalez' results over the last four months, including numerous site visits. ...The results are indeed extraordinary." He added, "This is a prime example of an innovative therapy that merits evaluation, but is being ignored. As costly as cancer is to our industry, and in light of such promising and cost-effective preliminary results, our industry should consider funding such a trial."
