Is God the God of Unconditional Love?

Dennis Edwards: The pastor here explains why the idea that God is love distorts the Gospel, the Good News. The Good News is that through Jesus' sacrifice on the cross, we can be reconciled to God and put on Jesus' righteousness or goodness. Then He can transform us to conform to His righteousness, or become more like Him day by day. We put aside the old man and through the power of the Holy Spirit are transformed into a new man: Christ in me, the hope of glory!

Have you put aside your own righteousness which is like a stinking filthy rag, and put on Jesus' righteousness which is goodness, mercy, love, and truth? "But as many as received Him, to them gave He power to become sons of God, even to them that believe on His name." John 1:12. "Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and you shall be saved." Acts 16:31. "For if you shall confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus, and shall believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you shall be saved." Romans 10:9.

Believe and confess today and become a new creature in Christ, not going around with your own righteousness, but with the righteousness which is my faith in Jesus Christ. Put on His righteousness and be clothed in all humility, love, joy, peace, long-suffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness, and self-control. Galatians 5:22-23. You can be transformed by God by the washing of regeneration and renewing of the Holy Ghost. 

Accept Jesus today and begin your regeneration and preparation for eternal life with Him. "For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord JESUS shall be saved." Romans 10:13
