Since finding Jesus in November 1971 and having that "born again" experience, I have realized that the only friend that could and does fulfill the longing for true and deep fellowship and friendship is none other than the Jesus of the New Testament. I have found that when you call upon His Name, He comes running no what station of year it is.
Our human friendships can be very sweet and dear and God usually gives us a close relationship with someone to help us along the path of life. Yet usually for some reason or other, circumstances or situations, those friendship often cool and grow distant and become almost impossible to continue, and lose the sweetness and usefulness they had before.
God sends us friends to help us in our time of need, until finally we come to Him, the source of true friendship. If you need a friend that sticks closer than a brother, call upon Jesus and He promises to come running and meet your need, help you, uplift you, and give you life eternal. It's really just that simple. Call on Jesus today.
