Someday we will all praise God for all
eternity. It’s difficult to wrap our minds around that
thought. I like to think of my time of praise here on earth as my dress
rehearsal. It helps me remember that in Heaven it is completely natural to
praise God. To remind myself of this, I use some of the prayers of praise found
in Revelation in my praise time. Here are some that I have found particularly
helpful:
Rev.4:8,
11—“Holy, holy, holy, is that Lord God Almighty, Who was, & is, & is to
come.… You are worthy, our Lord & God, to receive glory & honor &
power, for You created all things, & by Your will they were created &
have their being.”
Rev.5:9-10,
12-13—“You are worthy to take the scroll & to open its seals, because You were
slain, & with Your blood You purchased men for God from every tribe &
language & people & nation. You have made them to be a Kingdom & priests
to serve our God, & they will reign on the earth.… Worthy is the Lamb, Who was
slain, to receive power & wealth & wisdom & strength & honor
& glory & praise!… To Him Who sits on the Throne & to the Lamb be
praise & honor & glory & power, for ever & ever!”
Rev.7:10,
12—“Salvation belongs to our God, Who sits on the Throne, & to the Lamb…
Praise & glory & wisdom & thanks & honor & power & strength
be to our God for ever & ever. Amen!”
Rev.11:16-17—“We
give thanks to You, Lord God Almighty, Who is & Who was, because You have
taken your great power & have begun to reign.”
Rev.15:3-4—“Great
& marvelous are Your deeds, Lord God Almighty. Just & true are Your ways,
King of the ages. Who will not fear you, O Lord, & bring glory to Your Name?
For You alone are holy. All nations will come & worship before You, for Your
righteous acts have been revealed.”
