Dennis
Edwards
58:1 Do ye indeed speak righteousness, O congregation?
do ye judge uprightly, O ye sons of men?
As we are
seeing with the Epstein files, the sins of those that are in places of power
and influence are covered up. Their crimes are not judged righteously. In Micah
7:2-3, we read, “The good man is perished out of the earth: and there is none
upright among men: they all lie in wait for blood; they hunt every man his
brother with a net. That they may do evil with both hands earnestly, the prince
asks, and the judge asks for a reward; and the great man, he utters his mischievous
desire: so, they wrap it up,” or weave it together.
In the
files we see how the great powerful men had mischievous desires for young
girls. Epstein’s “honey pot” of young girls would catch them. He would then
control them for the malignant powers behind the scenes, who manipulate current
events in the direction they desire the world to go. Like Denis Healy, former
British Labour Party Leader during the years of his opposition Margaret
Thatcher, said, "World events do not occur by
accident. They are made to happen, whether it is to do with national issues or
commerce; and most of them are staged and managed by those who hold the purse
strings." Healy is talking about the ungodly wicked behind the
scenes.
Back in 1922, John
F. Hylan, Mayor of New York City, stated, “The real menace of our republic is
the invisible government which like a giant octopus sprawls its slimy length
over city, state, and nation. Like the octopus of real life, it operates under
cover of a self-created screen … At the head of the octopus are the Rockefeller
Standard Oil interests and a small group of powerful banking houses generally
referred to as international bankers. The little coterie of powerful
international bankers virtually run the United States government for their own
selfish purposes. They practically control both political parties.”
To think that the
hidden powers or shadow government do not exist today is wishful thinking. The
Epstein files have given us a glimpse into the tactics that they use to control
those beneath them in order that the judges, the politicians, and the business
leaders do their bidding.
In Amos 2:6-7,
we find a similar description. “Thus says the Lord, For three transgressions of
Israel, and for four, I will not turn away the punishment thereof; because they
sold the righteous for silver, and the poor for a pair of shoes; that pant
after the dust of the earth on the head of the poor, and turn aside the way of
the meek: and a man and his father will go in unto the same maid, to profane my
holy name.”
Again we
see the sexual perversion found in the Epstein files and committed by seemingly
important political, financial, and business leaders with impunity.
Psalm
58:2-5 Yea, in heart ye work
wickedness; ye weigh the violence of your hands in the earth. The wicked are
estranged from the womb: they go astray as soon as they be born, speaking lies.
Their poison is like the poison of a serpent: they are like the deaf adder that
stops her ear; Which will not hearken to the voice of charmers, charming never
so wisely.
The author
is saying that the wicked rich and powerful are a
people who wilfully and obstinately refuses to listen to reason, warning, or
godly counsel. They are willingly ignorant because they are caught in a net of
lies and compromises that cause them to commit evil in order to cover up the
evil of others they are bound to, or cover up their own evil. If they cooperate
and cover up the evil of others, their own evils will not be exposed. God’s word,
however, says, “Be sure your sin will find you out,” Numbers 32:23. What we
have done in secret shall be shouted from the housetops.
Luke 12:2-3 For
there is nothing covered, that shall not be revealed; neither hid, that shall
not be known. Therefore, whatsoever you have spoken in darkness shall be heard
in the light; and that which you have spoken in the ear in closets shall be
proclaimed upon the housetops.
Psalm
58:6 Break their teeth, O God, in
their mouth: break out the great teeth of the young lions, O Lord.
In reading
the Epstein files and hearing of the wickedness that seems to be exposed
therein, the public is outraged and is demanding that judgment be performed
against these men of power and position. These men are like lions who eat the poor and needy
and use them to fulfil their sexual cravings.
Psalm
58:7-9 Let them melt away as waters
which run continually: when he bends his bow to shoot his arrows, let them be
as cut in pieces. As a snail which melts, let every one
of them pass away: like the untimely birth of a woman, that they may not see
the sun. Before your pots can feel the thorns, he shall take them away as with
a whirlwind, both living, and in his wrath.
The author
is expressing the desire of the poor and righteous to see the ungodly wicked,
who have oppressed the poor and needy, to be judged, to be punished.
Psalm
58:10 The righteous shall rejoice
when he sees the vengeance: he shall wash his feet in the blood of the wicked.
The
righteous shall finally rejoice when God judges the wicked. God has told us not
to rise up in violence against the wicked, but rather to trust God to avenge
us.
Romans
12:19-21 Dearly beloved, avenge not
yourselves, but rather give place unto wrath: for it is written, Vengeance is
Mine; I will repay, says the Lord. Therefore, if thine enemy hunger, feed him;
if he thirsts, give him drink: for in so doing, you shall heap coals of fire on
his head. Be not overcome of evil, but overcome evil with good.
Jesus had
taught in the Sermon on the Mount to “resist not evil: but whosoever shall
smite you on your right cheek, turn to him the other also,” Matthew 5:39.
Leo Tolstoy wrote a letter to a relative in the military quoting Jesus’ words
and emphasizing that as Christians we should not go to war, especially against other Christians. Both Mahatma Gandhi
and Reverend Martin Luther King Jr. followed the same method of active passive
resistance in their protest against the evils they saw in the societies they
chose to try to change. They tried to follow Jesus’ admonition.
Matthew
5: 43-48 You have heard that it has been
said, You shall love your neighbour, and hate your enemy. But I say unto you,
Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you,
and pray for them that despitefully use you, and persecute you; that you may be
the children of your Father which is in heaven: for He makes His sun to rise on
the evil and on the good, and sends rain on the just and on the unjust. For if
you love them which love you, what reward have you? Do not even the publicans
the same? And if you salute your brethren only, what do you more than others?
Do not even the publicans so? Be therefore perfect, even as your Father which
is in heaven is perfect.
Psalm
58:11 So that a man shall say, Verily,
there is a reward for the righteous: verily, he is a God that judges in the
earth.
As Jesus
did, as Saint Paul and the martyrs from time memorial, we are admonished to
commit the keeping of our lives and souls to Him who is able to cast both soul
and body into hell.
Matthew
10:28 And fear not them which kill
the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear Him which is able
to destroy both soul and body in hell.
1
Peter 4:19 Wherefore, let them that suffer
according to the will of God commit the keeping of their souls to Him in
well-doing, as unto a faithful Creator.
As Christian we should try to avoid war and the use of violence at nearly all cost. However, every case must be judged individually. We may need to use force to defend our family and friends from evil. Generally we should use dialogue, and negotiation. But at times we may need to enter the fray to try to stop evil and trust God to protect us. Let every man be fully convinced in his own heart on how he should react to violence and evil.
God's word says, "Resist the devil and he will flee from you," James 4:7. The proverbs reads, "A strong man armed keeps his palace, his good are in peace," Luke 11:21. We may have to do some resisting and have means to defend ourselves. "A prudent man foresees the evil and hides himself, but the simple pass on and are punished," Proverbs 22:3 e 27:12. We should be aware of the political and social situation in the country in which we live. We should be attuned to listening to the Lord in case He would advise us to avoid a situation and move to another area free from social or political unrest.
