Anunaki - Who Were They?

Dennis Edwards: I wanted to publish the above video, not because  I agree with the above analysis, but because many people are being led to believe the extraterrestrial or alien hypothesis is legitamate. Dr. Gary Bates has written an in depth book on the subject, called the Alien Intusion, where he refutes the idea scientifically. The Gigalmesh Epic is a corrupted account of the true story, but may give some insight into the spiritual aspect of mankind's depravity at the time of the Tower of Babel

The other creation and flood stories are a corruption of the true account found in the Bible. Just because some document is older in time does not mean it is more accurate. At the Tower of Babel Nimrod was dabbling or immersed in occult practices, and probably channeling evil spiritual power. He may have been a nephilim, an offspring of demonic spirits who fornicated with earthly women. In the apocryphal Old Testament material we find that Shem took 200 men to go and kill Nimrod. What we do know for sure is that, when the earth was divided linguistically and geographically, the families of the earth took with them their corrupted concepts of religion and history from the time of Nimrod. We see the similarities in their mythologies and religious concepts.

From the descendants of Shem, the true religion and history is guarded and passed down. Abraham was the instrument used and may have been the custodian of the sacred clay tablets. Whether through clay tablets or through the oral tradition and memorization, Abraham was able to keep the information of the past. His great grandson Joseph perhaps was another who helped keep the documents whether in clay or otherwise. Finally, Moses edited what was available around 1,500 BC and we have the Torah or first five books of the Bible from Moses' hand.

God has given us what we need to believe. However, there is always some occult group or club or religious ritual that promises to give us the Secret or Lost or Hidden Knowledge. Moses wrote, "The secret things belong unto the Lord our God: but those things that are revealed belong unto us and to our children that we may do all the words of the law." [Deuteronomy 29:29] Mankind seems not to be satisfied with what has been revealed. From Eve in the Garden of Eden to the present, we are tempted by the unknown and or someone whispering in our ear that all we need to do is follow a certain forbidden path and we will find true enlightenment. We are told that the enlightenment that has been hidden from mankind for millenniums by the religious system can be ours, if we just throw off the chains of Bible teaching. and be liberated

Beware. The New Age techniques, including channeling spirits and the third eye awakening, are some of the ones being promoted today. God's word warns adamantly to stay away from such practices. Isaiah writes, "When they shall say unto you, Seek unto them that have familiar spirits, and unto wizards that whisper, and that mutter: should not a people seek unto their God?..To the law and to the testimony: if they speak not according to this word, it is because there is no light in them." [Isaiah 8:19-20]

In the Message Bible the passage reads, "When people tell you, 'Try out the fortunetellers (tarot cards). Consult the spiritualists. Why not tap into the spirit-world, get in touch with the dead?' Tell them, 'No, we're going to study the Scriptures (God's Word).' People who try the other ways get nowhere - a dead end! Frustrated and famished, they try one thing after another. When nothing works out they get angry, cursing first this god and then that one, looking this way and that, up, down, and sideways - and seeing nothing, a blank wall, an empty hole. They end up in the dark with nothing."

But the new practices, which are actually old ones dressed up in new apparel, can actually lead to demon possession or oppression. Moses warned, "Regard not them that have familiar spirits, neither seek after wizards, to be defiled (spiritually) by them: I am the Lord your God." [Leviticus 19:31] "And the soul that turns after such as have familiar spirits, and after wizards, to go a-whoring after them (It seems like God considers it spiritual fornication.), I will even set my face against that soul."[Leviticus 20:6] Don't dabble in the occult or you will be the worse for it. Reject it unilaterally, no matter what others think. God's Word prohibits such practice and gives serious warning against it.

There were and are no extraterrestrials, but there were and are demonic spiritual forces or rebellious angels who sought or are seeking to influence the course of history contrary to God's plan of salvation. God did walk and talk with man. The Old Testament is the most accurate record we have available of the past and God's dealings with mankind. We can use it to measure other extra-biblical writings. Our Old Testament script, may date from the time of Moses' editing, but God has preserved it and it is sufficiently accurate for God's purposes. "The words of the Lord are pure words: as silver tried in the furnace of earth, purified seven times. Thou shall keep them (His words), O Lord, thou shall preserve them from this generation (1000 BC) forever." [Psalm 12:6-7] Despite all the attacks of man and spirit, we can be confident that what we are reading in the Bible is indeed the Word of God.

The Sumerian texts may be dated earlier, but they were written by a people corrupted under the leadership of Nimrod. No one went back and put the word Jehovah in the Hebrew text years later. God put it there. I will trust in the words of the Lord and rest my hope on Him and His precious promises. "The law of the Lord in perfect, converting the soul: the testimony of the Lord is sure, making wise the simple. The statutes of the Lord are right, rejoicing the heart: the commandment of the Lord is pure, enlightening the eyes. The fear of the Lord is clean, enduring forever: the judgments of the Lord are true and righteous all together. More to be desire are they than gold, yea, than much fine gold: sweeter also than honey and the honeycomb. Moreover by them (God's Word) is thy servant warned: and in keeping of them there is great reward."[Psalm 19:7-11]

Before the Flood we do have a record of the fallen angels and the giants or nephilim, their offspring. Both Jude and Apostle Peter allude to the writings of Enoch in their epistles. Though the Book of Enoch is considered apocryphal and not on the same level as Scripture, it was one the writings early Jewish Christians were familiar with. Enoch tells the story of the two-hundred rebellious angels who make a pact to defy God's limits and have sexual relations with humankind. As we approach the last seven years predicted in the Old Testament prophecies evil will increase and the demonic spiritual forces will try to disrupt God's plan for mankind's salvation just as they have done since time memorial. But God's plan will not be defeated.

We that believe God's Word are persuaded that He is able to keep that which we have committed unto Him against that day. [2 Timothy 1:12] We are confident that He that has begun a good work in us will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ. [Philippians 1:6] We know that the New Testament has been written that we may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God; and that by believing we might have life through His name. [John 20:31] Because we have kept His word with patience and suffering, He has promised to keep us from the hour of temptation, which will come upon all the world, to try them that dwell upon the earth. Even so, come soon, Lord Jesus. We are holding our faith fast, that no man take our crown. [Revelation 3:10-11]

Dr. Carl Sagan: On the odds of life evolving.

Gary Bates

"The belief in cosmological evolution has spurred the belief that ETs have filled our universe. Dr. Carl Sagan, although a UFO skeptic, believed that extraterrestrial life had proliferated throughout our universe. Yet in calculating the odds that life could evolve on just one planet, he estimated it to be roughly one chance in ten followed by two billion zeros. This number is so unimaginable that it would fill several copies of a 400 page book."

Book Review: Alien Intrusion: UFOs and the Evolution Connection by Gary Bates

Yaasha Moriah

When my father’s 4th grade science project on aliens received the equivalent of an eye roll and a sigh, my father was perplexed. His research included well-documented phenomena by many authorities. Why did so many people discount the evidence?

Almost half a century later, I viewed the subject with the same skepticism as my father’s teachers. Aliens? More like the hallucinations of a drug-induced high or wishful thinking, or the easy answer for people (like Richard Dawkins in Ben Stein’s documentary “Expelled: No Intelligence Allowed”) who would rather believe in an alien designer than a divine one.

Alien Intrusion: UFOs and the Evolution Connection by Gary Bates changed my viewpoint—but not in the way that you may think. Yes, I now no longer place alien phenomena in the same category as insanity, but the category I do place it under may be surprising (explanations to follow).

As Mr. Bates points out, with the advent of space exploration and the explosive popularity of science fiction books and films, the idea of extraterrestrial life is no longer greeted with as much skepticism as before. Writers like H.G. Wells, Isaac Asimov, and Arthur C. Clarke have contributed to the alien culture, as well as films or TV shows like Star Wars, 2001: A Space Odyssey, Star Trek, and more. Roswell and Project Blue Book, both involving the U.S. military, remain mysteriously connected to aliens. Well-known public figures such as President Jimmy Carter, astronaut Gordon Cooper, and Marine Corps Major Donald Keyhoe famously acknowledged their own UFO sightings. NASA even has an Origins Program which actively seeks for extraterrestrial life (hence the excitement over evidence of water on Mars).

In order to answer the questions arising from the popularity of aliens, the author then backs up far into distant history. How did this all start? Where and how did life—whether terrestrial or extraterrestrial—have its origin? Given the size of the universe, is it even possible for aliens to visit Earth from, say, another galaxy? Here is where the hard-core scientist will rub his hands with glee, for the discussion gets technical, but no less interesting. The topic turns to the Big Bang theory, wormholes, “folding space,” the redshift of light from distant galaxies, background microwave radiation, gravitational forces, and more. I can’t reproduce the entirety of Mr. Bates’ extensively researched discussion, but I can say this: Had I been a proponent of macroevolution when I started, there was no chance that I could have remained so after the presentation of the evidence. The origin of life in the universe simply cannot be explained by modern science without the presence of a designer. Don’t believe me? Read the book.

Laying aside the whole origins question, what if alien life did somehow arise? Could they have seeded life on earth? Could they have introduced genetic mutations to boost the evolution of mankind? Enter another in-depth scientific discussion, this time on macroevolution and genetics. Again, had I been a staunch evolutionist at the start of my venture into Alien Intrusion, and retained even a smideon of evolutionary belief up until this part, the evidence of biology would have fully convinced me. A quote from Richard Lewontin, world-famous evolutionist and genetics professor, adds the nail to the coffin: “We take the side of [evolutionary] science in spite of the patent absurdity of some of its constructs…in spite of the tolerance of the scientific community for unsubstatniated just-so stories, because we have a prior commitment to materialism [the belief that matter is all there is]… Moreover, that materialism is absolute for we cannot allow a Divine foot in the door” (p. 141).

From here, Mr. Bates gets back to the UFOs. What sightings can be explained by natural phenomena? What hoaxes have muddied the waters? And, when all explanations have been made, how many stories can’t be proven to be hoaxes or misinterpretations? Mr. Bates discusses the truths and the myths behind the Lubbock lights of Texas (August 1951), the Mexico City mass UFO sighting (January 1993), the Roswell incident (June 1947), Area 51/Hangar 18, the secret KGB papers, and more. Does history point to extraterrestrial visitors (the Mayan carving from Palenque, Mexico, or the Nazca lines of Peru)? What about crop circles? What is the evidence, both in the past and in the present, for alien visitors to Earth?

And what about “close encounters of the fourth kind,” better known as alien abductions? Why do so many abductees have strange sexual encounters with their abductors? Is there really an alien “breeding program”? The experiences of Barney and Betty Hill, Travis Walton, Whitley Striber, and others are explored, as well as the concepts summed up in the study of CAS, Classic Abduction Syndrome. The occult connection to abduction and the New Age-type messages of the “space brothers” are examined extensively.

At this point, the book takes a startling twist: “Far from the abductee population including all those with religious beliefs, there is one group of people that, by and large, is noticably absent. They are Christians. Here we have to be careful about the definition of what constitutes a Christian. Many people in the world claim to be a Christian; that is, they have Christian ideals or morality, and may even regard themselves as good people. Some in this group still regularly claim abduction. But I am talking about those who are known as ‘born again,’ Bible-believing Christians—those who are often (these days unflatteringly) described as ‘Christian fundamentalists.’ It is as if ETs tend to avoid this select group of people. This reality has been largely ignored by many UFO researchers. But one group gets credit for discovering this startling fact” (p. 256). Thereafter follows the results of in-depth research done by Joe Jordan and Wes Clark of CE-4, an alien abduction research group, which uncovered one startling fact: Not only are born-again believers absent from the ranks of the abducted, but they also are able to instantly halt any abductions by shouting one name: Jesus.

Mr. Bates then explains the evidence that alien encounters are really encounters with spiritual forces who come with an agenda for the human race and with a message that distorts the Bible’s message. As far-fetched as this may sound, his arguments are disturbingly thought-provoking. The reader learns why a surprising number of abduction experiences involve both implicit and explicit references to the Bible, Jesus, and God, and why so many abductees become fascinated with reinterpreting the Bible to mesh with their alien experiences. From the practice of “channeling” an alien’s voice and message through an abductee’s body, to the self-indulgent orgies of the Raelians, Mr. Bates shows that the time has come for mass deception—the satanic gospel according to ET. It is true: We are not alone. Demons are real, and they are actively involved in deceiving us. As Mr. Bates says, Look to the sky; change is coming.

Are there Aliens out there? by Brian Young

Taken from article "Aliens and Evolution" by Brian Young in his book "Doubts About Creation? Not After This!" pages 270-271. Or see his seminar: (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qZFHnc8DGlY)

It's quite popular now a days to believe that aliens could reach us or have reached us in the past or are reaching us today in the often occurring UFO sighting and alien abduction phenomenon. However, is it scientifically possible to reach the speeds necessary for space travel? Let's look at this question for a moment.

Einstein's theory of relativity teaches us that material objects cannot move faster than the speed of light, which is approximately 186,000 miles per second. At this speed you could circle the earth in 7 seconds, reach Mars in 4 minutes and get to Pluto in 5 hours. Even at this incredible speed, it would still take 4.2 years to reach the closest star and 100,000 years just to get out of the Milky Way Galaxy or 2.3 million years to reach the next one. The universe is vast and great speeds would be needed to travel across it.

The problem is the energy necessary to reach such speeds, if it were indeed possible, is enormous. To move something the size of a pea to just 50% of the speed of light would take the energy of 2.2 Hiroshima bombs. As speed increases, so does mass increase. So the faster you go, the more energy is needed to continue to propel you even faster as your mass continues to increase. To project a one pound ball to 50% of the speed of light you would need the equivalent energy of 98 Hiroshima bombs. A space craft would certainly weigh more than that. The space shuttle engine alone weighs 1/7 of a train engine but delivers the power of 39 locomotives. The three main engines and two boosters deliver 7.3 million pounds of thrust at lift off needed to overcome the force of gravity and propel the shuttle into outer-space. Yet even at this impressive power, it takes 8 minutes to reach a mere 17,000 mph. To get the shuttle to 50% of the speed of light it would take the equivalent of 23 million atomic bombs.

The Apollo spacecraft took three days to reach the moon. At this speed it would take 870,000 years to reach the first star. Because of these incredible distances and the known lack of ability to reach the speed of light, alien supporters have had to dream up things like warp speed, hyperspace, folding space and wormholes, plus protective shields. The faster you go the more damage even a little pebble would do to your spacecraft.

When scientist turn their telescopes into outer-space they notice a red shift of the light which suggests that the star or galaxy which is being observed is moving away from the earth. This could be evidence of our galaxy being near to the center of the universe, which would suggest that the earth was placed there for a special reason and purpose. (See Russell Humphreys' http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M8tL21vHyzg) The fact that this earth is at the perfect tilt, has the perfect rotation, distance from the sun, atmosphere and water ratio (among other things), also suggests we are not here by some freak accident, but specifically designed. In fact the probability of life on earth occurring by accident is so small it is considered a mathematical impossibility. Therefore, the likelihood that other planets would have similar "accidents" that would allow aliens to inhabit them is slim to none because earth itself is a mathematical impossibility.

Isaac Newton said, "Atheism is so senseless. When I look at the solar system, I see the earth at the right distance from the sun to receive the proper amount of heat and light. This did not happen by accident." (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wTmvyq_LLCo) or watch Dr. Gary Bates explain about the Alien Intrusion and where they come from.
