Day 24 of the 30-Day Praise Challenge

Day 24

Becky Harling @ https://beckyharling.com/

“I am the LORD, Who heals you.” – Ex.15:26

The Invitation

“When you are suffering, whether physically, emotionally, or spiritually, call on Me for healing. I am the Lord who heals you. Too often, My child, you hesitate to ask Me for healing for fear that you will be disappointed. But this doesn’t protect you; it only prevents you from experiencing all that I desire to give you. Instead, praise Me for My healing power.

Healing may come in this lifetime, or I may call you to Heaven for your final & complete healing. Either way, I want you to trust Me. I am filled with compassion for you, & My presence will always be with you.

Exalt Me as your Messiah who rises with healing in His wings. As you praise Me, I will draw you deeper into My healing power; memories, emotions, & bodies are all healed in My presence. Even though you do not always understand My decisions about healing, will you dare to praise Me anyway?

Within the scope of eternity, weeping only lasts for a short time, & joy comes in the morning. Someday there will be an end to all physical & emotional suffering.” (Ex.15:26; Mk.10:51; Lk.7:22; Mal.4:2; Ps.30:5)

In your worship time today, focus on Jesus’ healing power. Too often we hesitate to ask Him for the very healing He desires to bring us. Praise Him that He longs to heal your memories, emotions, addictions, & body. Praise Him for His healing power in the lives of those you love.

“By His wounds you have been healed.” (1Pet.2:24)

Listen

Listen to “Healing” performed by Ben & Noelle

Here is a post that Noelle made about the song "Healing."

“Healing”

Last week, my husband and I released a record “Sacred Songs” and the first track is called “Healing.”  Ben wrote this song several years ago but the story behind it most recently, is our personal “healing” story.

As many of you know, we experienced a miscarriage in April.  It was during this time, we were in the middle of recording “Sacred Songs.”  Ben had been in Norman, mixing, when the doctor called me to tell me we lost the baby.  He immediately came home and upon arrival, he put the CD in, and the first track, “Healing” came on.  He started singing the song over me.  I begged him not to play it, not to sing. I didn’t want to hear those words, let alone sing them.  He cried as he sang and we held each other.  God's healing was very present in that moment, even though I didn’t “feel” it.

I tell this story, not get your sympathy, but so that you might have a better understanding of this song.  Many relate this song to a physical healing they are asking God for, but in reality, I believe all of us have healing that needs to take place in our hearts and emotions.  It was in that moment, that song became so real to me.  I didn’t have the strength to ask, but the song did that for me.  That is the power of music.  It’s our prayer that as you listen to that song, or any other song, for that matter, that it will aid in your time of inability.

The lyrics “nothing broken, nothing missing” used to be the prayer, Ben, before he was my husband, would pray over me. He would send me texts, just to remind me of the continuous healing God was doing in me.  Many negative things had been spoken over me and God’s refreshing reminder was healing to me.  He’s doing things in the midst of your pain.  The times you might think He’s not present is the closest He’s been to you.  Embrace this time to allow God to heal those things in you.  Let this song be a help to you.  To quote Bob Goff, “our lives are held together with scotch tape, bailing wire, and grace.”  Thank you God, that our emotional/spiritual health is resting in His ability, not our own.

This really isn’t to promote our song or record, but to give you a better understanding of our music.  These songs are things we’ve walked through.  It’s a soundtrack to the redemptive story He is writing in us.  Sometimes His healing looks different to us than what we are imagining.  He loves to surprise us, to draw us closer.  It doesn’t take much, just a simple “help” is enough for Him.  He longs to rescue you.  Be encouraged.

“Healer” performed by Kari Jobe.

Pray

Holy Healer, I praise You for Your healing. Thank You that I am made whole in Your presence & that You desire to heal my body, soul, & spirit. I lay before You these needs of healing ______________ [name any physical ailments, emotional pain, painful memories, addictions, or compulsions], & I praise You for the healing You will bring.

Thank You that I can call on the elders in my church & other mentors in my life to pray on my behalf for healing. How thankful I am that I can trust You, even though I don’t always understand Your ways.

I praise You that as I worship You, You promise to turn my valley of weeping into a place of abundant blessing.

Thank You that You are a God who restores health & heals wounds.

As You heal me, You will bring opportunities for me to share the healing work You have accomplished in my life for Your glory. How I praise You!

(Mal.4:2; Jam.5:16; Ps.84:5-6; Jer.30:17; Ps.107:8, 20)

Dia 23 do Desafio de Louvor 30 Dias

Dia 23

Becky Harling @ https://beckyharling.com/

Abre as mãos e deixa-me ir.

Só assim poderei entregar-me totalmente a si.

e “At the Cross”

e “I Surrender”, ambas tocadas pela Hillsong Live.

Ore

Entrego os meus anseios, o meu cônjuge, os meus filhos, os meus pais, as minhas amizades, as minhas finanças, os meus sonhos e a minha casa. Ocupa toda a minha vida.

Entrego-Te o meu corpo, a minha saúde, as minhas emoções, os meus dons e capacidades, as minhas forças e fraquezas. Eu Te adoro, Senhor Jesus.

Day 23 of the 30-Day Praise Challenge

Day 23

Becky Harling  @https://beckyharling.com/

“Therefore, I urge you, Brothers, in view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as living sacrifices, holy & pleasing to God—which is your spiritual act of worship. Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this World, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind.” – Rom.12:1-2

The Invitation

“My child, all worship begins with open hands & bowed knees. I desire absolute supremacy in your life. The things you cling to most tightly become idols that you worship instead of worshipping Me.

Open your hands, & let go. I know it can feel terrifying for you to surrender. But when you place your life, & the lives of those you love, completely in My hands, I am able to accomplish My perfect will through you. You have not been placed here on the earth to live your own life & seek your own fulfillment. You are here to glorify Me, to have My life lived through you.

The only way for this to happen is for you to join Me in My crucifixion. Praise Me that as you die to your selfish desires, I am reborn in you & the power of My resurrection becomes evident in your life. Then, & only then, can you be the person I have called you to be. Only then can I give all of Myself to you. In the end, that is your greatest desire.”

As you worship today, get down on your knees if you can. What is the hardest thing for you to surrender? As you listen to the praise music listed in today’s Listen section, imagine God inviting you to place in His hands your spouse or your desire for a spouse, your children or your desire for children, your career or your desire for a career, your friends, your home, & your health. Then when you are ready, open your hands to symbolically surrender. Place everything in the Lord’s hands & acknowledge that He alone is worthy of all your praise.

Listen

Listen to “Arms Open Wide” performed by Hillsong United

& “At the Cross”

& “I Surrender,” both performed by Hillsong Live.

Pray

Lord Jesus, I bow before You. You are the holy & exalted One, & the only One who is worthy of all my praise. I surrender my longings, my spouse, my children, my parents, my friendships, my finances, my dreams, & my home. Take my entire life. I give You my body, my health, my emotions, my gifts & abilities, & my strengths & weaknesses. Nothing that I may be tempted to hold on to compares to You. I worship & praise You above all else. Thank You for inviting me to place all that in Your hands when I follow You. Thank You for promising to use me for Your glory, & that when I surrender everything to You, I will find true life in the end. I praise You for promising that I will receive a hundred times more than anything I could ever give up for Your Name. I worship You, Lord Jesus.

Day 22 of the 30-Day Praise Challenge

Day 22

Becky Harling  @ https://beckyharling.com/

“And my God will meet all your needs according to His glorious riches in Christ Jesus. To our God & Father be glory for ever & ever. Amen.” – Phil.4:19-20

The Invitation

“I am God, & I abundantly provide for your needs. When the economy is failing & job loss statistics rise, many grow fearful. My child, don’t give in to the temptation to doubt My ability to give you what you need.

Instead praise Me for being the God Who Provides.

Whether you are doing well financially or struggling to pay the bills, whether you have a job or are unemployed, train yourself to give Me thanks in all things.

Thank Me for small gifts as well as big gifts. I love it when My children say, “Thank You.” Gratitude opens the door to greater blessing. Don’t set your hope on wealth. It is uncertain & rises & falls with the stock market. Instead, praise Me. Watch & see how I provide for all your needs.

I provided manna in the wilderness & water in the desert for My children.

I provided the lamb for Abraham on Mt. Moriah. This was a beautiful foreshadowing of what I would do later in history by providing My Own Son, Jesus Christ, as the ultimate sacrifice for all that you need.

Trust Me, My child. Everything you have needed, I have provided.”

(Mal.3:10; Mat.6:33; Ps.11:4-5; Heb.13:15; Is.43:20; Gen.22:8; 2Cor.12:9; Phil.4:11-12)

God is the God Who Provides. Praise Him that your financial situation or job situation is not catching Him off guard. Thank Him that He has promised to provide for your needs. If you don’t struggle financially, thank & praise God for His blessings. Thank Him that He will provide in the future for every need, even those you are not aware of at this time.

“The eyes of all look to You, & You give them their food at the proper time. You open Your hand & satisfy the desires of every living thing.” (Ps.145:15-16)

Listen

Listen to “Blessed Be Your Name” performed by Matt Redman.

Pray

I exalt You, God; You are my King. Sometimes fear grips my heart as I look around & see what’s happening in the economy in our country & around the world.

Thank You that I can trust You to provide for my needs. You are the God of abundance who consistently provides.

Thank You that stock-market crashes, job losses, & financial disasters can’t separate me from Your love.

I praise You, because You grant peace during times of financial upheaval, & You promise to satisfy me with food that comes directly from Your hand. I extol You, Lord, because none of my needs catch You off guard.

Thank You for teaching me how to be content, no matter what my circumstances. I am so grateful that whether I have a little or a lot, You provide opportunities for me to trust You.

Thank You that You are the Lord of my finances, & that as I place You first in my giving, saving, & spending, You will pour out more blessing than I can imagine. (Ps.145:1; Phil.4:19; Rom.8:36-38; Ps.147:14; Phil.4:11; Mat.6:33)

Journal

Think through your financial situation. How might praising God consistently help you move toward contentment & freedom from worry about finances?

Did God speak to you about your finances during your praise time today? If so, what did He say?

Dia 22 do Desafio de Louvor 30 Dias

Dia 22

Becky Harling  @ https://beckyharling.com/

– Filipenses 4:19-20

O Convite

“Eu sou Deus e supri abundantemente as vossas necessidades.

Em vez disso, louve-Me.

(Ml 3:10; Mt 6:33; Sl 11:4-5; Hb 13:15; Is 43:20; Gn 22:8; 2Co 12:9; Fp 4:11-12)

(Sl 145:15-16)

Ouça

Ouve “Blessed Be Your Name” (Bendito Seja o Teu Nome em  Espanhol), cantada por Matt Redman.

Ore

Eu Te exalto, Deus; Tu és o meu Rei.
