Communication Professor Reacts to David Blaine's Public Speaking Anxiety

Dennis Edwards: It's natural to fear Public Speaking, but you just have to do it. If you want more influence and or responsibility you've got to open your mouth and speak. The speakers end up being the leaders, not because they are smarter or have the right perspective, but only because the have that speaking ability. Therefore, push through your fear, practice and then force yourself into situations where you've got to speak! You've got something to give. Don't bottle it up inside. Open your mouth and God will fill it.
