Dez Maneiras de Se Aproximar de Deus
1.
Leia um capÃtulo dos Evangelhos, ou Salmo, ou
Provérbio todos os dias. Salmo 1: 2 “Antes, o seu prazer está na lei do Senhor,
e na sua lei medita de dia e de noite.”

Tenha um coração agradecido. 1 Tessalonicenses
5:18 “Em tudo, dai graças, porque esta é a vontade de Deus em Cristo Jesus para
convosco.” Salmo 100:4 “Entrai por suas portas com ações de graças e nos seus
átrios, com hinos de louvor; rendei-lhe graças e bendizei-lhe o nome.”

Memorize e pratique - 1 CorÃntios 13: 4-7 “O
amor é paciente, é benigno; o amor não arde em ciúmes, não se ufana, não se
ensoberbece, não se conduz inconvenientemente, não procura os seus interesses, não
se exaspera, não se ressente do mal; não se alegra com injustiça, mas regozija
com a verdade; tudo sofre, tudo crê, tudo espera, tudo suporta.”

Observe e capture seus pensamentos - 2 CorÃntios
10: 5 “E toda altivez que se levante contra o conhecimento de Deus, e levando cativa
todo pensamento à obediência de Cristo.” Filipenses 4: 8 “Finalmente, irmãos,
tudo o que é verdadeiro, tudo o que é respeitável, tudo o que é justo, tudo o
que é puro, tudo o que é amável, tudo o que é de boa fama, se alguma virtude há
e se algum louvor existe, seja isso o que ocupe o vosso pensamento.

Esteja orando ao longo do dia. 1 Tessalonicenses
5:17 “Orai sem cessar.” Filipenses 4:6b “Em tudo, porém, sejam conhecidas,
diante de Deus, as vossas petições, pela oração e pela súplica, com ações de
graças.”

Cante e ouça louvores a Deus e adorem música e
canções das Escrituras. Colossenses 3:16 “Habite, ricamente, em vós a palavra
de Cristo; instruÃ-vos e aconselhai-vos mutuamente em toda a sabedoria,
louvando a Deus, com salmos, e hinos, e cânticos espirituais, com gratidão, em
vosso coração.” Salmo 100:1-2 “Celebrai com júbilo ao Senhor, todas as terras.
Servi ao Senhor com alegria, apresentai-vos diante dele com cânticos.”
7.
Faça vigÃlia de oração frequente e oração
desesperada. Salmo 55:16-17 “Eu, porém, invocarei a Deus, e o Senhor me
salvará. À tarde, pela manhã e ao meio-dia, farei as minhas queixas e
lamentarei; e ele ouvirá a minha voz.” Jeremias 29:13 “Buscar-me-eis e me
achareis quando me buscardes de todo o vosso coração.

Tire momentos de reflexão silenciosa com Deus.
Salmo 4:4b “Consultai no travesseiro o coração e sossegai.” Salmo 46:10ª
“Aquietai-vos e sabei que eu sou Deus.” Jó 6:24 “Ensinai-me, e eu me calarei;
dai-me a entender em que tenho errado.”

Ouça a voz mansa e delicada da consciência, a
voz do Senhor, e siga o que ela diz. Deuteronómio 30:9ª,10-14 “O Senhor, teu
Deus, te dará abundância em toda obra das tuas mãos…se deres ouvidos à voz do
Senhor, teu Deus, guardando os seus mandamentos e os seus estatutos, escritos
neste Livro da Lei, se te converteres ao Senhor, teu deus, de todo o teu
coração e de toda a tua alma. Porque este mandamento que, hoje, to ordeno não é
demasiado difÃcil, nem está longe de ti. Não está mos céus, para dizeres: Quem
subirá por nós aos céus, que no-lo traga e no-lo faça ouvir, para que o
cumpramos? Nem está do mar, para dizeres: no-lo traga e no-lo faça ouvir, para
que o cumpramos? Pois esta palavra está mui perto de ti, na tua boca e teu
coração, para a cumprires.” IsaÃas 30:21b “Os teus ouvidos ouvirão atrás de ti

Ten Ways to Help You Get Closer to God

1. Read a chapter from the Gospels, or Psalm, or
Proverb every day.
Matthew 4:4 "It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds out of the mouth of God."
Psalm 1:2 “His delight is in the law of the Lord and in His
Law does he meditate day and night.”
Joshua 1:8 "But this book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou may observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shall make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success."
Job 23:12 "Neither have I gone back from the commandments of his lips; I have esteemed the words of his mouth more than my necessary food."
2 Timothy 3:15 "And that from a child you have known the holy scriptures, which are able to make you wise unto salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus."
2. Have a grateful heart.
1 Thessalonians 5:18 “In everything give thanks for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.”
Psalm 103:1-5 "Bless the Lord, O my soul: and all that is within me, bless his holy name. Bless the Lord, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits: Who forgives all thine iniquities; who heals all thy diseases; Who redeems thy life from destruction; who crowns thee with lovingkindness and tender mercies; Who satisfies thy mouth with good things; so that thy youth is renewed like the eagle's."
Psalm 100:4 “Enter into His gates with thanksgiving, and into His courts with praise: be thankful unto Him and bless His name.”
Psalm 119:164 "Seven times a day do I praise thee because of thy righteous judgments."
3. Memorize and practice 1 Corinthians 13:4-7.
“Love suffers long and is kind; love envies not; love vaunts not itself, is not puffed up. Does not behave itself unseemly, seeks not her own, is not easily provoked, thinks no evil; rejoices not in iniquity, but rejoices in the truth; bears all things, believes all things, endures all things."
4. Watch and capture your thoughts.
2 Corinthians 10:5 “Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ.”
Philippians 4:8 “Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things."
Romans 12:2 "And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God."
Isaiah 26:3 "Thou will keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusts in thee."
5. Be praying as you go about your day.
1 Thessalonians 5:17 “Pray without ceasing.”
Philippians 4:6b “But in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.”
Psalm 55:16-17 "As for me, I will call upon God, and the Lord shall save me. Evening and morning and at noon I will pray, and cry aloud, and He shall hear my voice."
Daniel 6:10 "And in his upper room, with his windows open toward Jerusalem, he knelt down on his knees three times that day, and prayed and gave thanks before God, as was his custom since his early days."
6. Sing and or listen to Godly praise and worship music and Scripture songs.
Colossians 3:16 “Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord.”
Psalm 100:1-2 “Make a joyful noise unto the Lord, all ye lands. Serve the Lord with gladness: come before His presence with singing.”
Psalm 95:1-2 "O come, let us sing unto the Lord: let us make a joyful noise to the rock of our salvation. Let us come before his presence with thanksgiving, and make a joyful noise unto him with psalms."
7. Have frequent prayer vigil and desperate prayer.
Psalm 55:16-17 “As for me, I will call upon God; and the Lord shall save me. Evening, and morning, and at noon, will I pray, and cry aloud: and he shall hear my voice.”
Jeremiah 29:13 “Ye shall seek Me and find Me when you shall search for Me with all your heart.”
Psalm 18:6 "In my distress I called upon the Lord, and cried unto my God: he heard my voice out of his temple, and my cry came before him, even to his ears."
Psalm 61:1-2 "Hear my cry, O God; attend unto my prayer. From the end of the earth will I cry unto thee, when my heart is overwhelmed: lead me to the rock that is higher than I."
8. Take moments of quiet reflection with God.
Psalm 4:4b “Commune with your own heart upon your bed, and be still.”
Psalm 46:10ª “Be still, and know that I am God.”
Job 6:24 “Teach me, and I will hold my tongue: and cause me to understand wherein I have erred.”
Isaiah 30:15 "For thus says the Lord God, the Holy One of Israel; In returning and rest shall ye be saved; in quietness and in confidence shall be your strength..."
Isaiah 40:31 "But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint."
9. Have a daily time where you pray in tongues to the Lord.
Romans 8:26 “Likewise the Spirit also helps our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself makes intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered.”
1 Corinthians 14:2 & 4a "For he that speaks in an unknown tongue speaks not unto men, but unto God: for no man understands him; howbeit in the spirit he speaks mysteries...He that speaks in an unknown tongue edifies himself."
1 Corinthians 14:18 "But I thank God, I speak with tongues more than ye all."
10. Listen to the still, small voice of conscience, the voice of the Lord, and follow what he says.
Deuteronomy 30:9-10 “And the Lord thy God will make thee plentious in every work of thine hand…If thou shall hearken unto the voice of the Lord thy God, to keep his commandments and his statutes which are written in this book of the law, and if thou turn unto the Lord thy God with all thine heart, and with all thy soul.”
Deuteronomy 30:11&14 “For this commandment which I command thee this day, it is not hidden from thee, neither is it far off…But the word is very nigh unto thee, in thy mouth, and in thy heart, that thou may do it.”
Isaiah 30:21a “And thine ears shall hear a word behind thee, saying, This is the way, walk ye in it.”
1 Kings 19:11-12 "And he said, Go forth, and stand upon the mount before the Lord. And, behold, the Lord passed by, and a great and strong wind rent the mountains, and brake in pieces the rocks before the Lord; but the Lord was not in the wind: and after the wind an earthquake; but the Lord was not in the earthquake.
