1. Take a walk in nature.
Romans 1:20 “For the invisible things of Him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even His eternal Godhead; so that they are without excuse.”
Psalm 19:1-2 “The heavens declare the glory of God; and the firmament shows His handiwork. Day unto day utter speech, and night unto night show knowledge.”
Job 12:7-10 "But ask now the beasts, and they shall teach thee; and the fowls of the air, and they shall tell thee: Or speak to the earth, and it shall teach thee: and the fishes of the sea shall declare unto thee. Who knows not in all these that the hand of the Lord has wrought this? In whose hand is the soul of every living thing, and the breath of all mankind."
Mark 6:31 "And he said unto them, Come ye yourselves apart into a desert place, and rest a while: for there were many coming and going, and they had no leisure so much as to eat."
2. Do good to all men, especially to the household of faith.
Romans 12:9-10, 18&21 “Let love be without dissimulation. Abhor that which is evil; cleave to that which is good. Be kindly affectioned one to another with brotherly love; in honour preferring one another. If it be possible, as much as lies in you, live peaceably with all men…Be not overcome of evil, but overcome evil with good.”
Deuteronomy 15:7-8 & 10. "If there be among you a poor man of one of your brethren within any of your gates in your land which the Lord your God gives you, you shalt not harden your heart, nor shut your hand from your poor brother: But you shalt open your hand wide unto him, and shalt surely lend him sufficient for his needs, in that which he wants...You shalt surely give him, and your heart shall not be grieved when you give unto him: because that for this thing the Lord your God shall bless you in all your works, and in all that you put your hand unto."
3. Smile, be happy.
Nehemiah 8:10b “The joy of the Lord is your strength.”
Psalm 144:14b-5 “...that there be no complaining in our streets. Happy is that people that is in such a case: yea, happy is that people, whose God is the Lord.”
Philippians 4:4 “Rejoice in the Lord always, and again I say rejoice.”
4. Memorize and review God’s promises and word.
Joshua 1:8 “This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou may observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shall make thy way prosperous, and then thou shall have good success.”
Psalm 119:11 "Thy Word have I hid in my heart, that I might not sin against Thee."
Psalm 1:1-2 "Blessed is the man that walks not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor stands in the way of sinners, nor sits in the seat of the scornful. But his delight is in the law of the Lord; and in his law does he meditate day and night."
Psalm 119:9 "Wherewithal shall a young man cleanse his way? by taking heed thereto according to thy word."
5. Do a focused Bible study.
2 Timothy 2:15 “Study to show thyself approved unto God, a workman who needs not be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.”
Acts 17:11 “These were more noble than those in Thessalonica, in that they received the word with all readiness of mind, and searched the scriptures daily, whether those things were so.”
John 8:31-32 "If ye continue in my word, then are ye my disciples indeed: And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free."
6. Have regular organized fellowship with others.Hebrews 10:25 “Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching.”
Matthew 18:20 “For where two or three are together in my name, there am I in the midst of them.”
7. Avoid sin.
James 4:7 “Submit yourselves to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.”.
Psalm 119:133 “Order my steps in thy Word: and let not any iniquity have dominion over me.”
Ephesians 4:30ª “And grieve not the Holy Spirit of God.”
Psalm 101:3 "I will set no wicked thing before mine eyes: I hate the work of them that turn aside; it shall not cleave to me."
Joshua 23:6&8 "Be ye therefore very courageous to keep and to do all that is written in the book of Moses, that ye turn not aside therefrom to the right hand or to the left...But cleave unto the Lord your God, as ye have done unto this day."
8. Ask for prayer when you need it.
James 5:14-16 “Is any sick among you? let him call for the elders of the church; and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord: And the prayer of faith shall save the sick, and the Lord shall raise him up; and if he has committed sins, they shall be forgiven him. Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much.”
Deuteronomy 32:30ª “One (can) chase a thousand, and two (can) put ten thousand to flight.”
Matthew 18:19-20 "Again I say unto you, That if two of you shall agree on earth as touching any thing that they shall ask, it shall be done for them of my Father which is in heaven. For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them."
9. Share your faith with others
Act 5:42 “And daily in the temple, and in every house, they ceased not to teach and preach Jesus Christ.”
Mark 16:15 “Go ye into all the world and preach the Gospel to every creature.”
Isaiah 58:10 "And if thou draw out thy soul to the hungry, and satisfy the afflicted soul; then shall thy light rise in obscurity, and thy darkness be as the noon day."
10. Put God first in your life.
Ecclesiastes 12:13 “Fear God, and keep His commandments: for this is the whole duty of man.”
John 14:21 “He that has my commandments, and keeps them, he it is that loves Me: and he that loves Me shall be loved of My father, and I will love him, and will manifest myself to him.”
Mark 12:30 "And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind, and with all thy strength: this is the first commandment."
