Saint Anthony's halo is tarnishing and hanging more crooked by the day. Dr. Anthony Fauci — whose medical expertise has been held as indisputable by mainstream media since the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic — is now facing mounting scrutiny and critique as correspondence obtained through a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request by Buzzfeed reveals he's lied both to the public and the U.S. Senate on a number of issues.

The emails were released to the public in the early-morning hours of June 2, 2021. All 3,234 pages of emails can be found on Document Cloud.1 News media pounced on the release, with each reporter offering their own spin on what the fallout of the emails might be.

In the video above,2 "The Next Revolution" host Steve Hilton details how Fauci and National Institute of Health director Dr. Francis Collins have both repeatedly lied about the origins of SARS-CoV-2.
'Utter Fraudulence'


In a no-holds-barred monologue Wednesday, June 2, 2021, Fox News host Tucker Carlson (above) called for a criminal investigation of Fauci in the aftermath of the release of thousands of emails, exchanged in the early days of the pandemic between Fauci and numerous individuals, including Facebook's Mark Zuckerberg and billionaire Bill Gates.

Carlson blasted Fauci for what he said was "utter fraudulence" that should put Fauci under criminal investigation. After previously hosting him on many Fox newscasts, including Carlson's own, the emails show Fauci is "just another sleazy federal bureaucrat — deeply political and often dishonest," Carlson said.


What's worse, the emails implicate Fauci "in the very pandemic he'd been charged with fighting." While Fauci has denied funding gain-of-function research, emails now reveal he did indeed support "the grotesque and dangerous experiments that appeared to have made COVID possible," Carlson said, adding that the emails are so damning that "in retrospect it looks a lot like perjury."

Sen. Rand Paul apparently agrees. In a recent Fox News interview (below), Paul said the released emails reveal a "disturbing picture" that "should preclude [Fauci] from the position that he's in."

Fauci Lied About Not Funding Gain-of-Function Research

Some of the emails show Fauci, early in 2020, was concerned that Americans might think the virus came from the Wuhan Institute of Virology (WIV) in China. Why would he be concerned about that? As noted by Carlson, this makes perfect sense if he knew he had funded the very research that now looked like the source of the pandemic.

January 31, 2020, Kristian Andersen, a virologist at the Scripps Research Institute in California, emailed Fauci stating that "The unusual features of the virus make up a really small part of the genome (<0.1%) so one has to look really closely at all the sequences to see that some of the features (potentially) look engineered."

He later wrote that he and his team "all find the genome inconsistent with expectations from evolutionary theory." Interestingly, some six weeks later, Andersen published a paper in which he and his team insisted the virus could not have been created in a lab. I'll have more to say on this later, as the email cache also reveals Fauci had a hand in the creation of that paper. On a side note, four days after the release of the emails, Andersen deleted his entire Twitter account.3

The next day, Fauci sent an urgent email to Dr. Hugh Auchincloss, the principal deputy director of the National Institutes of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID), titled "IMPORTANT." "It is essential that we speak this AM," Fauci wrote. "Keep your cell phone on … Read this paper as well as the e-mail that I will forward to you now. You will have tasks today that must be done."

Attached to the email was a file titled "Baric, Shi et al - Nature medicine - SARS Gain of function.pdf." This paper was written by Ralph Baric, Ph.D., a virologist in the U.S., and Shi Zhengli, a researcher at the WIV who specializes in bat coronaviruses.

May 11, 2021, Fauci testified before the Senate Health, Education, Labor, and Pensions Committee.4 During an exchange with Sen. Rand Paul, Fauci insisted that "the NIH has not ever and does not now fund gain-of-function research in the Wuhan Institute of Virology." He also insisted that Baric does not engage in gain-of-function research. This is the same Baric whose paper Fauci sent to Auchincloss, clearly marked as "SARS gain-of-function."

As reviewed in "The Biggest Flip-Flop Ever — Who's Going to Jail?" the kind of research Fauci funded has long been referred to as gain-of-function, yet now he's trying to redefine what's covered by that term.

As noted by Carlson in his June 2, 2021, report, social media platforms aggressively censored and deplatformed people for the "crime" of talking about the possibility of SARS-CoV-2 being a lab creation that got loose, and they did so largely based on the word of Fauci himself. Fauci said it wasn't so, and that became the gospel repeated by fact checkers everywhere.

Now all of a sudden, there appears to have been a coordinated U-turn. The question is, why did they lie to us for so long? In the video report above, Carlson reveals part of the answer: Scientists were afraid to lose their funding, funding which, by the way, comes from the American taxpayers.

Fauci Lied About the Origin of the Virus

In an April 17, 2020, White House press briefing, Fauci lied again, when he said the science was "totally consistent with a jump from an animal to a human." Yet "what he asserted as conclusively known could not have been known," Carlson points out.

Two days after this press briefing, EcoHealth Alliance president Peter Daszak, Ph.D., wrote to Fauci thanking him for his help in deflecting the lab origin theory. The email reads:


"As the PI of the R01 grant publicly targeted by Fox News reporters at the Presidential press briefing last night, I just wanted to say a personal thankyou on behalf of our staff and collaborators, for publicly standing up and stating that the scientific evidence supports a natural origin for COVID-19 from a bat-to-human spillover, not a lab release from the Wuhan Institute of Virology."

Who is Daszak? He's none other than the middle-man between Fauci's NIAID/NIH and the WIV. EcoHealth Alliance received several NIH grants for millions of dollars involving gain-of-function research on coronaviruses, which were then farmed out to Zhengli and others at the WIV. So, Daszak certainly had cause to want to deflect attention from the lab leak theory.

He was also well aware of how risky this research was. In 2015, he spoke at a National Academies of Science seminar on reducing risk from emerging infectious diseases, warning of the danger of experimenting on "humanized mice,"5 meaning lab mice that have been genetically altered to carry human genes, cells or tissues.

That same year, Daszak also published a paper in which he warned a global pandemic might occur from a laboratory incident and that "the risks were greater with the sort of virus manipulation research being carried out in Wuhan."6

January 2, 2020, he sent out a tweet announcing he'd successfully isolated SARS coronaviruses "that bind to human cells in the lab," and that the work of other scientists show some of these viruses have pandemic potential as they can infect humanized mice.7

Yet, from the get-go, Daszak did everything he could to dispel discussion about SARS-CoV-2 being anything but all-natural. He went on record dismissing the lab-origin theory as "pure baloney."8,9

He was also the mastermind behind the publication of a scientific statement published in The Lancet10 condemning such inquiries as "conspiracy theory,"11,12 which was then relied on by the media to "debunk" theories and evidence showing the pandemic virus most likely originated from a laboratory.

To further ensure the lab-leak theory would die out, Daszak was chosen to be on two separate commissions charged with investigating the origin of SARS-CoV-2, one by the World Health Organization13 — which, of course, dismissed the lab theory out of hand — and one by The Lancet.14
'Hidden Hand' Behind Natural Origin Theory Revealed

Now, finally, all these efforts to obfuscate the truth are falling apart. Fauci's role in the obfuscation is also becoming much clearer. In the documentary "Plandemic — Indoctornation," Dr. Meryl Nass stated there had to have been "a hidden hand behind the Nature Medicine paper"15 that became the basis for the natural, zoonotic origin theory.

This paper is not to be confused with the other Nature Medicine paper cited earlier, published by Baric and Shi. The paper Nass is referring to was created by Scripps researcher Kristian Andersen who, in January 2020, told Fauci that some of the features of the genomic sequence "(potentially) look engineered."

Andersen's paper "The Proximal Origin of SARS-CoV-2"16 — published March 17, 2020, and co-written by Andrew Rambaut, Ian Lipkin, Edward Holmes and Robert Garry — became the preeminent "proof" that SARS-CoV-2 had a natural origin and couldn't possibly come from a lab.

"Our analyses clearly show that SARS-CoV-2 is not a laboratory construct or a purposefully manipulated virus," the paper states.17 The email cache now identifies who comprised the "hidden hand" behind this paper. They were none other than Fauci himself, NIH director Collins and Jeremy Farrar, head of the Wellcome Trust.

In the email on page 2,401, dated March 6, 2020, Andersen thanks Fauci, Collins and Farrar for their "advice and leadership" on the paper. His four co-authors are cc'd, along with the Salk Institute's communications director, Chris Emery.
Fauci, Collins and Farrar — A Tag-Team of Coverup Artists

This is huge. "The Proximal Origin of SARS-CoV-2"18 was the scientific underpinning of the natural origin claim, and now we find out Fauci himself was involved in its creation. Farrar and Collins are also neck-deep in this cover-up.

Farrar cosigned the scientific statement in The Lancet,19 which turned out to have been orchestrated by Daszak, as mentioned earlier. Farrar was also involved in the WHO Solidarity Trial,20 which poisoned patients with toxic doses of hydroxychloroquine (HCQ). In this trial, which was clearly designed to prove HCQ was "dangerous," they used a cumulative dose of 8,800 mg over 10 days.

Meanwhile, doctors across the world who reported success with the drug were using standard doses around 200 mg per day for just a few days. Farrar, having spent 18 years leading a clinical research unit in Vietnam,21 would have (or should have) been aware that such high doses of HCQ — a widely used anti-malaria medication — would be toxic.

As for Collins, he promoted the cover-up by publishing a March 26, 2020, blog post22 in which he said Andersen's Nature Medicine paper proved a natural origin, and to ignore rumors to the contrary. What's more, after Fauci unconvincingly tried to claim that the NIAID/NIH has never funded any gain-of-function research, Collins came to his rescue with a public NIH statement23 in which he backed Fauci's claim.
Bombshell Emails on What Fauci Knew


In a June 3, 2021, report, Carlson reviewed Fauci's "surreal" media appearances following the release of the emails. As just one example, he simply laughed off the question of why so much of a particular email between him and Collins was redacted.In the unredacted part, Collins warns Fauci that a "conspiracy theory" about the virus' origin is gaining speed. Why, exactly, was this email redacted? What did the remainder of the email say? Fauci claims ignorance on the matter, and the mainstream media are letting him off the hook.

Now, when a document is redacted, a classification is assigned, explaining why parts must remain secret, and in this case, those classifications are interesting indeed. Redacted emails between Fauci and nongovernment individuals such as Zuckerberg and Daszak bear codes such as:24,25(b)(4), which refers to information that would impair the application of state-of-the-art technology within a U.S. weapon system
(b)(6), which refers to information, including foreign government information, that would cause serious harm to relations between the U.S. and a foreign government, or to ongoing diplomatic activities of the U.S.
(b)(7), which refers to information that would impair the current ability of U.S. government officials to protect the president, vice president and other protectees for whom protection services, in the interest of national security, are authorized
Fauci Lied About Masks

The email cache also shows Fauci lied about other things, including masks and vaccines. In one email, Fauci explained that surgical masks don't work against viruses because the viruses slip right through the material, which is the truth. But when it comes to his public statements about masks, Fauci has been a serial liar.

He started off saying Americans shouldn't wear them because they offer little to no protection — which is true — and the benefits are mostly psychological, as it might make you feel safer. Then he changed his mind, urging everyone to wear a mask all the time. When confronted about this U-turn, he said he lied about masks not being effective because he wanted to make sure there would be enough for frontline workers.

Well, in reality, he lied about lying, because he told the truth that first time. Everything since then, however, has been one fib after another. One mask wasn't even sufficient. Fauci started recommending two. Then he insisted people had to keep wearing them even after they get vaccinated. There's no scientific rationale for this at all, and Fauci knows it.
Fauci Still Has Not Told the Truth About Natural Immunity

Fauci has also been dishonest about the need for COVID-19 vaccination. In early March 2020, a former Obama official emailed Fauci asking if people who recover from COVID-19 can expect to be immune thereafter. Fauci replied, "No evidence in this regard, but you would assume that their [sic] would be substantial immunity post infection."

Here, it's fairly safe to make assumptions because it's a well-established medical fact that when you recover from a viral infection, you are immune, and that immunity can be lifelong in many cases. It would be quite unusual if immunity were not incurred after recovering from a viral infection. As noted by Carlson, that robust immunity occurs post-COVID-19 has also been confirmed in studies over the past year.

Now, if you have natural immunity against an illness, you do not need to be vaccinated. Period. Yet to this day, Fauci has never admitted this publicly, and he has not publicly opposed recommendations to vaccinate those who have recovered from COVID-19, even though there's evidence to suggest such individuals are at higher risk of vaccine injury. Not even those who can prove they have antibodies are excluded from the vaccine push.
Fauci Tried to Derail Florida

Other emails from March 2020, discussed in The Beltway Report,26 show Fauci also promised to put pressure on Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis to close down gyms, bars and beaches.

The recipient of this email exchange was a Florida HIV specialist named Doug Brust, who wrote, "I'm the HIV doc here. I'm it … I am putting my life on the line so folks can go pump iron, drink beer, have a burger, and get a tan." In response, Fauci wrote, in part:27


"Regarding the bars and beaches, I have been screaming on TV 2 to 5 times per night to tell the younger generation to start taking this seriously … I am very surprised that Gov. DeSantis has not completely closed the bars, even if they serve food. Take out only. I will bring this up at the Task Force meeting tomorrow."
Fauci's Book Release Scrubbed Amid Backlash

In light of Fauci's rapidly waning star power, his book, "Expect the Unexpected: Ten Lessons on Truth, Service, and the Way Forward," slated for release in November 2021, has now been scrubbed from Amazon and Barnes & Noble. We found an archived copy of the original Amazon listing, but even the cached version disappeared within a week. If you search for the book on either of these book vendors now, you won't find it. "The scrubbing of the book comes after backlash from critics who accused Fauci of profiting off of the deadly pandemic the U.S. response to which he has overseen.


Among those criticizing Fauci is Fox News Channel contributor Joe Concha, who compared him to New York Democratic Gov. Andrew Cuomo signing a seven-figure book deal about his efforts during the pandemic, which resulted in a high number of death among assisted-living residents.


'If you look at the numbers again, you had Cuomo profiting off a pandemic, a government official,' said Concha, also a media reporter for The Hill newspaper. 'Now we have Fauci doing it as well. I think this is appalling.'


Daily Caller writer Greg Price slammed Fauci for 'publishing a book and [becoming] the highest paid federal government employee while you lost your business and had your kids out of school for a year.'"

Truth may be slow to surface, but eventually, the truth usually breaks through. And that certainly appears to be the case here. The truth about the lab leak theory — that it's actually the most plausible and not a wild goose-chase — is now emerging just about everywhere. I'm sure many of you remember we have been exposing this information since early last year.

Even Vanity Fair29 has an in-depth article detailing the drama. The theory that mere weeks ago was derided as debunked hogwash conspiracy theory, if acknowledged at all, is now suddenly getting the level-headed attention it should have, and probably would have, received all along, had it not been for Fauci and his co-conspirators. This case ought to establish one thing, and that is that "conspiracy theories" are not automatically untrue.

A Bíblia está cheia de exemplos de louvor e adoração nos quais vemos Seu poder ser liberado, milagres que mudam vidas, histórias dramáticas do inimigo sendo detido ou derrotado, e corações transformados que se aproximam do Senhor.

No entanto, a realidade é que, com muita frequência, as lutas diárias ou as constantes exigências da vida podem afastar nosso louvor e adoração a Deus. ... Às vezes é realmente um sacrifício oferecer louvor. Talvez não sintamos vontade. É uma luta. Estamos cansados.

Ou talvez sintamos como se Deus nos tivesse decepcionado. Ele pode parecer distante, como se não Se importasse realmente com a nossa dificuldade nem Se preocupasse com o que estamos passando. Um sacrifício que vale a pena

O livro inteiro de Hebreus é sobre um novo modo de vida e uma nova forma de adoração. Anteriormente os judeus tinham sido sobrecarregados com o cumprimento da lei, mas por seu sacrifício e ressurreição que desafiou a própria morte, Cristo os libertou de seus padrões impossíveis.

Hebreus 13:15 diz: “Por meio de Jesus, portanto, ofereçamos continuamente a Deus um sacrifício de louvor, que é fruto de lábios que confessam o seu nome.”[4]

Os sacrifícios animais do Antigo Testamento que outrora haviam trazido uma fragrância agradável a Deus são agora substituídos pelo fruto dos lábios que reconhecem Seu nome em espírito e em verdade.[5]

Um sacrifício é um presente a Deus declarando que Ele é digno, e nós não somos. É também, por definição, difícil. Um sacrifício dói, é custoso, requer esforço—e o sacrifício final custou ao Messias, Jesus Cristo, a Sua vida. Da mesma forma, para nós, um sacrifício de louvor nem sempre será fácil e sem esforço. Será difícil e tem um preço...

Por causa das Escrituras, sabemos que não confessamos apenas o nome de Deus quando dá vontade, parece algo bom ou nos beneficia de alguma forma. Oferecemos louvor, como diz em Hebreus 13:15, “continuamente”. Ou seja, sem cessar, em todas as circunstâncias. Como Paulo disse em 1 Tessalonicenses 5:18: “Sejam sempre agradecidos, haja o que houver, porque esta é a vontade de Deus para com vocês que pertencem a Cristo Jesus.”[6]

É nosso dever oferecermos o “fruto de lábios que confessam o seu nome.”[7] Portanto, estou aprendendo a me comprometer a cumprir com o dever de louvar como gerador alegria, e não como o resultado dela.

E, como diz este versículo, somos capazes de fazer tudo isso “por meio de Jesus”. Através de Jesus, podemos ver o grande e imenso amor do nosso grande e imenso Deus que segura tudo na palma de Sua mão e com uma palavra faz tudo dobrar-se à Sua vontade. Por meio de Jesus, nosso mediador, somos capazes de acessar o Pai a fim de dar-Lhe o devido louvor.[8]

Neemias disse: “A alegria do Senhor é a vossa força.”[9] Através do louvor, desfrutamos de Deus. Imagine isso! O louvor nos concentra na fonte da nossa alegria e onde nosso olhar deve estar, e isso resulta em força! Seja através da oração, meditação na Palavra de Deus, ação de graças ou louvor, podemos levantar as mãos cansadas mesmo quando é difícil—especialmente quando é difícil—e dizer, “Santo, Santo, Santo é o SENHOR!”[10]—Amy Dunham[11]

Um coração cheio de louvor

Quando eu era criança me lembro de ficar agradecida pelas coisas que me davam uma gratificação imediata. Se eu conseguisse algo que queria, ficava feliz, alegre. Se não conseguisse, então não ficava. Era muito simples — eu estava grata pelas coisas boas. Ainda estou aprendendo a aplicar o versículo, “Sejam sempre agradecidos” [12] em minha vida. Expressar gratidão quando acontecem coisas que eu não desejava, quando me decepciono ou fico triste, essa não é uma reação natural de jeito algum.

Mas vamos passar por dificuldades na vida, e dias simplesmente ruins, não importa quem sejamos ou no que acreditemos. A vida é assim. Mas a beleza de ter uma crença e fé em Deus é que, apesar de Deus nem sempre nos resgatar dos problemas, Ele sempre nos dá forças para encará-los, lidar com eles e superá-los com a nossa fé. O apóstolo Paulo foi um exemplo maravilhoso de ter uma atitude de gratidão e louvor a Deus em face a dificuldades e adversidades extremas.

Mas apesar de tudo de ruim que lhe aconteceu, Paulo ainda assim disse: “Aprendi a adaptar-me a toda e qualquer circunstância,”[13] e “Sejam sempre agradecidos, haja o que houver, porque esta é a vontade de Deus para com vocês que pertencem a Cristo Jesus.”[14]

É relativamente fácil ser agradecido quando tudo vai bem na vida e está tudo tranquilo, mas quando parece que o inferno está à solta ou quando nos deparamos com um problema atrás do outro, estar agradecido é a última coisa que queremos fazer, e provavelmente o mais difícil de se fazer também. Mas se aprendermos a louvar a Deus mesmo em situações difíceis, veremos que Ele nos dará forças para encararmos e até mesmo abraçarmos tais períodos de dificuldades, confiando que Ele fará com que contribuam para o bem.[15]

O versículo que diz que Deus habita nos louvores do Seu povo[16] é um lembrete de que quando sou grato estou reconhecendo que Deus habita em mim e Ele, pela Sua graça e poder dá forças para superar qualquer coisa e sermos “mais que vencedores, por meio daquele que nos amou”.[17]

Uma palavra de louvor muitas vezes usada nas Escrituras é “engrandecer”. No Salmo 34:3, por exemplo, diz: “Engrandecei ao Senhor comigo, e juntos exaltemos o seu nome!” [18] Quando olha um objeto através de uma lente de aumento, ela amplia o objeto. Ela não muda o tamanho do objeto em si, apenas a sua percepção dele—pois parece maior, de maior proporção. Ora, é isso o que acontece quando louvamos a Deus. A nossa percepção de Deus muda. E quando a nossa visão é mais focada em Deus e em Seu poder e amor por nós, isso nos ajuda a colocar todas as pequenas preocupações, apreensões, problemas e tudo o mais em perspectiva.

Transforma a negação em aceitação, o caos em ordem, a confusão em clareza. Pode fazer de uma refeição um banquete, de uma casa um lar e fazer de um estranho um amigo. Through Jesus, therefore, let us continually offer to God a sacrifice of praise—the fruit of lips that openly profess his name.—Hebrews 13:15

We have so much to praise God for every day, there’s great power in giving honor to Him. The Bible is filled with examples of praise and worship when we see His power released, life-changing miracles, dramatic stories of the enemy being halted or defeated, hearts being changed and drawn closer to Him.

Yet the reality is that way too often, daily struggles or constant life demands can crowd out our praise and worship to God. … Sometimes it really is a sacrifice to offer praise. We may not feel like it. We’re struggling. We’re weary.

Or maybe we feel like God has let us down. He may seem distant to us, like He doesn’t really care about what we’re struggling through or worrying about. Painful life blows and losses may have recently sent us spiraling. We’re still trying to get our feet on the ground and put broken pieces back together again.

Here’s what can make a lasting difference. When we make that decision to fix our eyes on Him, and daily give Him praise, no matter what’s staring us straight in the face, we suddenly realize that God has already begun to release the grip those struggles can have over us. …

When we feel pressed and burdened, weighed down with cares, and in despair without hope, God reminds us that He is able to provide all that we need. He promises to bring beauty instead of ashes, joy instead of mourning, and praise instead of despair.1 We can trust that He can do in us, for us, what we are never fully able to do for ourselves.

If you feel stuck in hard places today and can’t see a way out of your current situation, God wants to fully cover you in garments of praise. He gives you a new name, and will cause His Spirit to rise up within you. … God dwells close to us when we praise Him. He lives there. He looks for it. He inhabits the praises of His people.2

We have a choice every day in this life. We can choose to live absorbed in worry and stress, on the fast track of busy, focused only on what surrounds us, and tuned in to the roar of the world. Or we can ask God to help us take our eyes off all that may be swirling around, our problems and mess, and the voices of others. We can look up to Him, the one who holds it all together, and who holds us in His hands.

God desires our whole heart. He waits for us to return if we’ve drifted away. He longs for us to know the power of His presence in and through our lives. He desires to bless us more than we could ever imagine. His Spirit urges us onward, calling us closer.

May He help us to look up again today, to remember His goodness and power in our lives, and to offer Him worship and praise.—Debbie McDaniel3

A worthy sacrifice

The entire book of Hebrews is about a new way of life and a new way of worship. Previously the Jews had been burdened with fulfilling the law, but by his sacrifice and death-defeating resurrection, Christ had set them free from its impossible standards.

Hebrews 13:15 says, “Through him then let us continually offer up a sacrifice of praise to God, that is, the fruit of lips that acknowledge his name.”

The animal sacrifices of the Old Testament that had once brought a pleasing fragrance to God are now replaced with the fruit of lips that acknowledge his name in spirit and in truth.4

A sacrifice is a gift to God declaring that he is worthy, and we are not. It is also, by definition, difficult. A sacrifice hurts, it’s costly, it takes effort—and the ultimate sacrifice cost the Messiah, Jesus Christ, his life. Likewise, for us, a sacrifice of praise won’t always be easy and effortless, but difficult and costly…

Because of Scripture, we know that we don’t just confess God’s name when it feels good, looks good, or benefits us in some way. We offer praise, as Hebrews 13:15 says, “continually.” This means without ceasing, in all circumstances. Like Paul said in 1 Thessalonians 5:18, “Give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.”

It is our duty to offer “the fruit of lips that acknowledge his name.”5 Therefore, I am learning to commit to acting out the duty of praise as the beginning of joy rather than the result of it.

And, as this verse says, we’re able to do all this “through him.” Through Jesus, we’re able to see the great, great love of our great, great God who holds everything in the palm of his hand and bends it to his will with a word. Through Jesus, our mediator, we’re able to access the Father in order to give him due praise.6

Nehemiah says, “The joy of the Lord is our strength.”7 Through praise we enjoy God—imagine that! Praise focuses us on where our joy comes from and where our gaze should be, and the result is our strength! Whether through prayer, meditation on God’s Word, thanksgiving, or praise, we can lift tired hands even when it’s hard—especially when it’s hard—and say, “Holy, Holy, Holy is the LORD!”8—Amy Dunham9

A heart of praise

When I was a kid, I recollect feeling gratitude or thankfulness for things that gave me immediate gratification. If I got something I wanted that made me happy, I was glad. If not, I wasn’t. It was pretty simple; I was grateful for good things. The scripture “Be thankful in all circumstances”10 is something I am still learning to apply in my life. Expressing gratitude when things happen that I don’t want, when I’m disappointed or down, does not come naturally at all.

However, in life we are going to experience hardships and difficulties and downright bad days, regardless of who we are or what we believe. That’s the nature of life. But the beauty of having belief and faith in God is that while God doesn’t always rescue us from the problems, He does always give us the strength to face them, tackle them, and overcome them through our faith. The apostle Paul was a terrific example of having gratitude and giving praise to God in the face of extreme hardship and adversity.

Here are some of the highlights of the difficulties Paul experienced, documented in the book of Acts:

• Paul and Barnabas were persecuted and expelled from Antioch (Acts 13:14–50)
• Paul was stoned in Lystra (Acts 14:19–20)
• Paul and Silas were imprisoned in Philippi (Acts 16:23–39)
• There was an insurrection against Paul in Corinth (Acts 18:12)
• Paul was attacked by a mob in the temple of Jerusalem and was taken to prison (Acts 21:26–22:23)
• There was a conspiracy against Paul’s life (Acts 23:12–13)
• Paul spent two years in prison at Caesarea (Acts 23:23; 24:26–27)
• Paul was shipwrecked and bitten by a snake on Malta (Acts 27 and 28)
• Paul spent another two years as a prisoner in Rome (Acts 28:30–31)

Yet in spite all of these challenges and suffering, Paul was still able to say: “I have learned to be content in whatever situation I am in,”11 and “Give thanks in every circumstance, for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.”12

It’s relatively easy to be grateful when life is going well and smoothly, but it’s during the times when it feels like all hell is breaking loose or we’re facing problem after problem that being grateful is the last thing we want to do, and probably the hardest thing to do as well. But if we can learn to praise God even when things are difficult, we will find that He in turn gives us strength to face and even embrace those times of trouble, trusting in the ultimate good He will bring about in them.13

The verse that says God inhabits the praise of His people14 is a reminder that when I am grateful, I am recognizing that God dwells in me, and by His grace and strength, He gives the power to overcome anything and be “more than conquerors through Him who loved us.”15

A word for praise that’s often used in Scripture is “magnify.” Psalm 34:3, for example, says, “Oh, magnify the Lord with me, and let us exalt his name together!” When you aim a magnifying glass at an object, it makes the object appear larger. It doesn’t actually change the size of the object itself, but it changes your perception of the object—it appears bigger and more prominent to you. That is a fitting illustration of what happens when we praise God. Our perception of Him and His presence in our lives expands. And when our vision is more focused on God and His power and love for us, it helps put all the little daily worries, concerns, and troubles in perspective.

As author Melody Beattie once wrote, “Gratitude unlocks the fullness of life. It turns what we have into enough, and more. It turns denial into acceptance, chaos to order, confusion to clarity. It can turn a meal into a feast, a house into a home, a stranger into a friend. Gratitude makes sense of our past, brings peace for today, and creates a vision for tomorrow.”—Daveen Donnelly

Jordan Peterson admits the Resurrection is true to a Catholic Priest

Dennis Edwards: Peterson talks about the "universal myth." Where did the universal myth come from? If we accept the Genesis account as truth, we see that the "universal myth" comes from the Garden of Eden in God's promise to send a "seed" of the woman who would defeat the seed of the serpent and bruise his head. It seems that Eve may have thought that her first son Cain was the seed, as when he was born she said, "I have gotten a man from the Lord." The idea that a chosen seed would come to defeat evil would have been known by the descendents of Adam and Eve. That prophetic truth was changed into a cultural myth over time. Nevertheless, we can assume that Noah took a non-corrupted idea with him unto the ark along with the old written recorded history from the time of creation.

 However, by the time of the Tower of Babel we see the idea of a deliverer personified in Nimrod the organizer of the first post flood cities. Assuming the account in the Bible is accurate, we find the universal language turns into a multilingual world. It was the corrupted "universal myth" of a Nimrod like figure that the peoples now divided took with them as they spread abroad from Mesapotamia. The "universal myth" of a saviour like figure rising from the dead and defeating evil and the Evil One was a corruption of God's prophetic word. God had announced back in the Garden of Eden that from the seed of the woman would come the One who would crush the head of the seed of the serpent, though the serpent would bruise His heal. The Devil or Satan would have the power to kill the Messiah and yet the Messiah would rise again and ultimately defeat Satan at the end of days. 

The trouble with modern intellectuals is that they dismiss the Biblical narrative as mythical and not historical. They have unknowingly accepted the hypothesis of evolution and millions of years. They are skeptics of the Biblical narrative, but not of the evolutionary story. They believe by faith the evolutionary narrative and it's naturalistic suppositions which assume the supernatural does not exist. In the end, they have difficulty seeing their own bias and how they have been hood-winked into believing a lie. But Apostle Paul, Apostle Peter, King David, and Job, amongst others, clearly testify that the truth of God is found in His creation. Peter says men are willingly ignorant of both the flood event and creation. Paul says that through their proud ideas men have had their minds darkened from the truth found in nature and have accepted a lie. David says God's truth speaks in every language in every nation through His creation. Job tells us that if we study nature, it will indeed speak to us and tell us of the Creator. 

The modern intellectual accepts evolution and "science" as the new creation myth and have rejected the Bible as being God's Divine Word of guidance. Therefore, it is hard for them to make the jump from fiction to faith. They would do well to be as skeptical of evolutionary theory as they are of Biblical theology, anthropology, and Creation scientists. 

God told Jeremiah "to root out, and to pull down, and to destroy, and to throw down" the false, before He told him "to build and to plant" the new. What Critical Race Theory wants to do to today's capitalistic world is just like what the French Revolution tried to do, and the Russian Revolution tried to do, which was to completely root out, pull down, destroy, and throw down the old system to build and plant a new one built on different values and goals. We as Christians should also learn "to root out, pull down, destroy, and thrown down" the false beliefs of others in love so that we can begin to build and plant the truth of God's word in their lives. But as we see with the modern intellectual, the lies of evolutionary theory have convinced them that the Bible is only "mythical" and not historical or factual.
