How to Prepare for the Endtimes!

Jacki Scott

Several people have asked me, “How can I prepare for the Endtime?” Some have put forth their suggestions and ideas. I have collected a list of ways to help us that are very good, not just for preparing for the Endtime, but also in carrying out our daily “life of faith” serving the Lord, Endtime or no Endtime. If we follow these suggestions, it’s a win-win situation. Who knows when our “end” will come. It could come at any moment. Some of our friends and loved ones have already passed on to their reward.

Some of the following ways to prepare are short-term and some are long-term. The Lord said in prophecy, “But when the time comes I will put My anointing on you & lead & guide you. Much in what I am teaching you is just your learning to trust in Me. But you need to do your homework, as well, especially when it comes to the long-term side of things. We are in a partnership, you and Me, & you have to do what you can do today, to be ready for tomorrow.”

For the long-term here are some things we are responsible & accountable for:

Ø Exercising your faith daily by serving Me. You have to keep your faith muscles in shape. If you are living a life of faith & have dedicated your life to Me & are living for & serving Me daily, then you are still in the school of “faith” & I bring challenges your way consistently to work out your faith muscles & you are still growing & exercised in this area. When the time comes you will be ready. If you’ve been a “couch potato” spiritually, you won’t have faith instantly when you need it. It just does not work that way.

Ø Prayer habits: Your daily time with Me to be exercised not only in praying, but especially in listening & hearing from Me & learning to be accomplished at this. When you have fine-tuned this skill of being able to hear from Me, it will be second nature in an emergency. You will not even have to think about it. It will be a daily habit: asking Me for what you should do that day, for regular situations that come up, getting solutions to problems, insights, including feeding yourself, getting a personal word for yourself & others. In short, you have built a strong connection with Me because you communicate with Me daily. You know the sound of My voice & are accustomed to hearing from Me.

Ø Regular Word time over the years: Regular Word time is something that builds up your faith quietly but surely over the years. You do not even realise it because it is something you cannot see. But like I have said, “Faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the Word of God.” You have to trust Me that when you read the Word you will become stronger. You have to read the word regularly and faithfully, just like you do your daily exercise time. It’s like the immune system in your body. You cannot see it, you do not even know it’s there. You do not know how it works. But science has told you that you have an immune system, & it needs to be strong. You build a strong immune system by eating healthy, getting enough rest & sleep, exercise and sunshine, etc. You take it by faith. The same goes for faithful Word time. It’s your spiritual immune system. You need a daily diet of Word time & this includes memorizing & having the Word deep in your being, soul & spirit.

Ø Healthy relationship with Me: A healthy relationship with Me, like the other relationships, takes time, effort, and consistency. It does not come overnight. There are many ingredients included in “a relationship with Me”. Part of our relationship depends on how much of your will you have given to Me, your earnestness to serve Me, how much of your life you have given to Me, your love for Me. Am I truly your “all in all,” or is it just a “part-time” relationship? Are you walking with Me daily? Are you spending time worshiping Me, loving Me, asking to Me to be your center focal point? Are you asking Me to help you be in My will & desiring Me and My will for you above all else. Our relationship is not dependent on your age—it’s dependent on your desire.

Preparedness is not an overnight thing—it can actually take years. And it can be discouraging if you have lain down your sword and gotten busy with a little here and a little there. If your relationship with the Lord has cooled or dried up, do not stay there. You can start today. You can call upon the Lord and He will hear you. You can make a new commitment & make up for lost time.

"Seek the Lord while He may be found, call upon Him while He is near. Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts: and let him return unto the Lord, and He will have mercy upon him; and to our God, for He will abundantly pardon." Isaiah 55:6-7

"Submit yourselves therefore to God, resist the devil, and he will flee from you. Draw nigh to God, and He will draw nigh to you. Cleanse your hands, ye sinners; and purify your hearts, ye double-minded. Be afflicted, and mourn, and weep: let your laughter be turned to mouring, and your joy to heaviness. Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and he shall lift you up." James 4:7-10

Short-term practical ways to prepare for the Endtime:

Ø Keep up with the news daily with what’s going on around the world & keep tuned in to the signs of the End such as global currency progress, A.I. advances, & other technologies. Watch out for the signs of the times listed in Matthew 24.

Ø Keep a survival stock of food & water & rotate it regularly.

Ø If possible, have Emergency back-up funds and a Plan B.

Ø Go through the Endtime classes. As you review & restudy these classes & you keep up with the news, you will begin to see the pieces of the puzzle fit together & the prophetic Scriptures will begin to open up to you. You need to do both; be aware of the news & yet filter the news through the lens of Scripture. The best way to learn is to teach, so be involved in teaching others.

Ø Memorise Endtime verses and other faith building verses.

Ø Ask Me where you should be to be the greatest help to those around you. Find My highest will, so when the time comes you will be in the right location and in position to fulfill My will for you.

Ø Spend your time in ways that are meaningful & that will build yourself up to increase & add value to your life and to others. For example, taking a course on first aid can be done even on-line, rather than binging on Netflix. Take a course on growing vegetables.

Ø Build a strong community of friends & Christians that you can trust & work together with in case of an emergency.

Ø Have Endtime Bible classes together with others and study as a group, researching & discussing together. Studying together will help the Word to have greater impact, a deeper effect & will be remembered better. You will be able to apply & process it more intentionally.

Ø Pray and specifically ask for dreams, revelations & confirmations of God’s will in your life, or for guidance and direction.

Ø Make a schedule to help you manage your time & accomplish the goals that are important to you: like memorising, Bible study, getting your survival up to date, & anything else God shows you to do. Manage your time wisely & schedule your priorities.

Ø Sit down & have a meeting with yourself from time to time to go over your priorities, & what’s truly important & how to dump time-wasters & things not beneficial to helping you be a better Christian.

In conclusion, even if we are not sure when the Lord is returning, these tips are still good for us, because they are good reminders for us to live every day as unto the Lord.

"Who then is a faithful and wise servant, whom his lord hath made ruler over his household, to give them meat in due season? Blessed is that servant, whom his lord when he comes shall find so doing. Verily I say unto you, That he shall make him ruler over all his goods.

"But and if that evil servant shall say in his heart, My lord delays his coming; And shall begin to smite his fellowservants, and to eat and drink with the drunken; The lord of that servant shall come in a day when he looks not for him, and in an hour that he is not aware of, And shall cut him asunder, and appoint him his portion with the hypocrites: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth." Matthew 24:45-51

"Wherefore he says, Awake thou that sleeps, and arise from the dead, and Christ shall give you light. See then that you walk circumspectly, not as fools, but as wise, redeeming the time, because the days are evil. Wherefore be ye not unwise, but understanding what the will of the Lord is.

"And be not drunk with wine, wherein is excess; but be filled with the Spirit; speaking to yourselves in psalms, and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord; giving thanks always for all things unto God and the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ; submitting yourselves one to another in the fear of the Lord. Ephesians 5:14-21
