Psalm 7:9 Oh let the wickedness of the wicked come to an end;
but establish the just: for the righteous God tries the hearts and reins.
The wickedness of the wicked
will come to an end for a 1,000-year Millennium period and then later on the
New Heaven and Earth. At present God allows men to be tested to see whether
they will do good or do evil, whether they will come to accept the sacrifice of
His only begotten Son Jesus, or reject Him. The Lord proves us to see how much
we love Him.
Deuteronomy 8:2-5 And you shall remember all the way which
the Lord your God led you these forty years in the wilderness, to
humble you, and to prove you, to know what was in your heart, whether you would
keep His commandments, or no. And He humbled you, and suffered you to hunger,
and fed you with manna, which you knew not, neither did your fathers know; that
He might make you know that man does not live by bread only, but by every word
that proceeds out of the mouth of the LORD does man live. Your raiment waxed
not old upon you, neither did your foot swell, these forty years. You shall
also consider in your heart, that, as a man chastens his son, so the Lord thy God chastens you.
He may allow a seemingly religious person to test our faithfulness
to the truth.
Deuteronomy 13:1-3 If there arise among you a prophet, or a dreamer of dreams, and
gives you a sign or a wonder, And the sign or the wonder come to pass, whereof
he spoke unto you, saying, Let us go after other gods, which you have not
known, and let us serve them; You shall not hearken unto the words of that
prophet, or that dreamer of dreams: for the Lord your
God proves you, to know whether you love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul.
If
we pass the tests, God promises to keep and protect us in the times of trouble
that are coming upon the whole world.
Revelation
3:10 Because you have kept the word
of My patience, I also will keep you from the hour of temptation, which shall
come upon all the world, to try them that dwell upon the earth.
Psalm 7:10 My defence is of God, which saves the upright in
heart.
Who are the upright in heart? The
upright in heart are those with a contrite heart, or a broken heart, a humble
heart, who have fallen upon the mercies of God.
Psalm 51:17 The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit: a broken
and contrite heart, O God, You will not despise. Psalm 34:18 The Lord is
nigh unto them that are of a broken heart; and saves such as be of a contrite
spirit. Isaiah 66:2b But to this man will I look, even to him that is
poor and of a contrite spirit, and trembles at My word.
It is the meek that shall
inherit the earth and delight themselves in the abundance of peace. Jesus said,
Blessed are the meek, Matthew 5:6. The meek are those who have
acknowledged their dependence on the mercy of God. God has therefore extended to
them His mercy, and covered them with His love through the suffering and death
of Jesus Christ.
Psalm 7:11 God judges the righteous, and God is angry with the
wicked every day.
The day of God’s wrath and
judgment is coming
Revelation 6:17 For that great day of His wrath is come; and who
shall be able to stand?
Zephaniah 1:18 Neither their silver nor their gold shall be able
to deliver them in the day of the Lord’s wrath; but the whole land shall be
devoured by the fire of His jealousy: for He shall make even a speedy riddance
of all them that dwell in the land.
Jeremiah 30:23-24 Behold, the whirlwind of the Lord goes forth with
fury, a continuing whirlwind: it shall fall with pain upon the head of the
wicked. The fierce anger of the Lord shall not return, until He has done it,
and until He has performed the intents of His heart: in the latter days you
shall consider it.
Zephaniah 2:2-3 Before the decree bring forth, before the day pass
as the chaff, before the fierce anger of the Lord come upon you, before the day
of the Lord’s anger come upon you. Seek the Lord, all you meek of the earth,
which have wrought His judgment; seek righteousness, seek meekness: it may be
you shall be hid in the day of the Lord’s anger.
Psalm 7:12 If he (the wicked) turns not, He (God) will whet His
sword; He has bent His bow, and made it ready.
The day is coming when the
prophecies will be set in motion for the last days.
2 Thessalonians 2:7-9 For the mystery of
iniquity doth already work: only he who now lets (or withholds) will let, until
he be taken out of the way. And then shall that Wicked be revealed, whom the
Lord shall consume with the spirit of his mouth, and shall destroy with the
brightness of his coming: Even him, whose coming is after the working of Satan
with all power and signs and lying wonders.
Matthew 24:15 & 21-22 When ye therefore shall see
the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, stand in the
holy place, (whoso reads, let him understand:) … For then shall be great
tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no,
nor ever shall be. And except those days should be shortened, there should no
flesh be saved: but for the elect's sake those days shall be shortened.
Psalm 7:13 He (God) has also prepared for him (the wicked) the
instruments of death; He (God) ordains His arrows against the persecutors.
The day of judgement and of
God’s great wrath will come. Some prophecies of the day of the Lord follow
below:
Revelation 11:18 And the nations were angry,
and thy wrath is come, and the time of the dead, that they should be judged,
and that thou shouldest give reward unto thy servants the prophets, and to the
saints, and them that fear thy name, small and great; and shouldest destroy them
which destroy the earth.
Revelation 14:18-20 And another angel came out from the altar, which
had power over fire; and cried with a loud cry to him that had the sharp
sickle, saying, Thrust in thy sharp sickle, and gather the clusters of the vine
of the earth; for her grapes are fully ripe. And the angel thrust in his sickle
into the earth, and gathered the vine of the earth, and cast it into the great
winepress of the wrath of God. And the winepress was trodden without the city,
and blood came out of the winepress, even unto the horse bridles, by the space
of a thousand and six hundred furlongs.
Psalm 7:14 Behold, he (the wicked one) travails with iniquity,
and has conceived mischief, and brought forth falsehood.
Satan is the father of lies.
John 8:44 You are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father
you will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth,
because there is no truth in him. When he speaks a lie, he speaks of his own:
for he is a liar, and the father of it.
Psalm 7:15-16 He made a pit, and digged it, and is fallen into
the ditch which he made. His mischief shall return upon his own head, and his
violent dealing shall come down upon his own pate.
The wicked in general shall
suffer, and so shall that Wicked One.
Isaiah 14:12-15 How are you fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son
of the morning! how are you cut down to the ground, which did weaken the nations!
For you have said in your heart, I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my
throne above the stars of God: I will sit also upon the mount of the
congregation, in the sides of the north: I will ascend above the heights of the
clouds; I will be like the most High. Yet you shall be brought down to hell, to
the sides of the pit.
The wicked will reap what they
have sown. The Antichrist will also be judged
Daniel 7:21-22 I beheld, and the same horn (the Antichrist)
made war with the saints, and prevailed against them; Until the Ancient of days
came, and judgment was given to the saints of the most High; and the time came
that the saints possessed the kingdom.
Daniel 8:25 And through his (the
Antichrist’s) policy also he shall cause craft to prosper in his hand; and he
shall magnify himself in his heart, and by peace shall destroy many: he shall
also stand up against the Prince of princes (Jesus); but he shall be broken
without hand.
Daniel 11:45 And he (the Antichrist)
shall plant the tabernacles of his palace between the seas in the glorious holy
mountain (Mount Moriah in Jerusalem); yet he shall come to his end, and none
shall help him.
Revelation 20:2-3 And he (the angel) laid hold on the dragon, that
old serpent, which is the Devil, and Satan, and bound him a thousand years, And
cast him into the bottomless pit, and shut him up, and set a seal upon him,
that he should deceive the nations no more, till the thousand years should be
fulfilled: and after that he must be loosed a little season.
Psalm 7:17 I will praise the Lord according to His righteousness: and will sing
praise to the name of the Lord most
high.
It is to the name and person of
Jesus that every knee will bow.
Philippines 2:5-11 Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ
Jesus: Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with
God: But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a
servant, and was made in the likeness of men: And being found in fashion as a
man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the
cross. Wherefore God also has highly exalted him, and given him a name which is
above every name: That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in
heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth; And that every tongue
should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.
Psalm 118:10-12 “In the name of the Lord will I destroy them!” All
nations compassed me about: but in the name of the Lord will I destroy them. They compassed me about; yea, they
compassed me about: but in the name of the Lord I will
destroy them. They compassed me about like bees: they are quenched as the fire
of thorns: for in the name of the Lord I will
destroy them.
Revelation 15:1-4 And I saw another sign in heaven, great and marvellous, seven angels
having the seven last plagues; for in them is filled up the wrath of God. And I
saw as it were a sea of glass mingled with fire: and them that had gotten the
victory over the beast, and over his image, and over his mark, and over the
number of his name, stand on the sea of glass, having the harps of God. And
they sing the song of Moses the servant of God, and the song of the Lamb,
saying, Great and marvellous are thy works, Lord God Almighty; just and true
are Your ways, You King of saints. Who shall not fear You, O Lord, and glorify Your
name? for You only are holy: for all nations shall come and worship before You;
for Your judgments are made manifest.
Revelation 11:15-17 And the seventh angel sounded; and there were
great voices in heaven, saying, The kingdoms of this world are become the
kingdoms of our Lord, and of his Christ; and He shall reign for ever and ever.
And the four and twenty elders, which sat before God on their seats, fell upon
their faces, and worshipped God, Saying, We give You thanks, O Lord God Almighty, which are, and was, and are to come; because You
have taken to Yourself Your great power, and have reigned.
