Also, he was Director of the Tavistock Institute in the 80s, & arranged its collaboration with the Club of Rome. In '85-86 he was Under-Secretary General of the UN. He was Director of the Earth Summit in Rio in Jun92. He became first head of the UN Environment Programme in Dec72. Often described as "Machiavellian," he was a Foundation Director of the World Economic Forum, & a senior advisor to the World Bank. He mentored Vice President Al Gore into the climate-change movement in the 2000s. He retired to live in Beijing.
When he declared the above remark as a globalist goal, we should pay close attention to what it means. Could the Iran war debacle be part of that plan? Are they purposely bring about a global collapse?
