The sanctions led to the attack on Pearl Harbor. Are we repeating ourselves in how we are interacting with the Russians? The only problem is that this time the stakes are higher because our missles are more deadlier.
Will Biden get on the phone and sue for peace, like Kennedy did in the Cuban missle crisis? Kennedy agreed to take missles out of Turkey, if Kruschev took the nuclear ones out of Cuba. Of course, Kennedy got a bullet in his head a few years later for his independent peace keeping efforts. The Industrial-Military-Congressional-Complex needs to be fed and war is one of its favorite feeding troughs.
Kennedy tried to keep Israel also from going nuclear and the Israelis didn't like it. Some believe the Israelis became his enemies because of it. With the Israelis, the Mafia, J. Edgar Hoover, Lyndon Johnson, and Kennedy's own secret service men (who weren't fond of his exploits with multiple college girls and other Washington women) as his enemies, JFK was doomed. He was so distracted with his sexual liberties that he didn't see the bullet coming.
Will America have the same fate? God's word says Babylon the Whore will be destroyed in one day by fire? Is America that Babylon?
"And the ten horns which you saw upon the beast, these shall hate the whore, and shall make her desolate and naked, and shall eat her flesh, and burn her with fire. For God has put in their hearts to fulfill his will, and to agree, and give their kingdom unto the beast, until the words of God be fulfilled. And the woman which you saw is that great city, which reigns over the kings of the earth." Revelation 17:16-18.
Could that prophecy be talking about the present day American Empire?
"Babylon the great is fallen, is fallen, and is become the habitation of devils, and the hold of every foul spirit, and a cage of every unclean and hateful bird. For the nations have drunk of the wine of the wrath of her fornication, (her wars?) and the merchants of the earth are waxed riched through the abundance of her delicacies. For her sins have reached unto heaven, and God has remembered her iniquities. Reward her even as she rewarded you, and double unto her double according to her works: in the cup which she has filled fill to her double. How she has glorified herself, and lived deliciously, so much torment and sorrow give her: for she says in her heart, I sit a queen, and am no widow, and shall see no sorrow." Revelation 18:2,3,5-7.
USA continues to believe she sits on the top of the world and is the ruling empire. But there is another empire of the east on the rise. Together with the help of the Russian Bear these allies may think it is time to make their move and try to dislodge the whore from her place of dominance. The whore has made her fortune through war and conquest over the centuries and now fits squarely in the American camp. She sits like a Queen of Heaven thinking she can do as she will and all others must obey her calls. But Russia is challenging America's authority, and Russia has her eastern friends at her back.
"Therefore shall her (Babylon's) plagues come in one day, death, and mourning, and famine; and she shall be utterly burned with fire: for strong is the Lord God who judges her...And a mighty angel took up a stone like a great millstone, and cast it into the sea, saying, thus with violence shall the great city Babylon be thrown down, and shall be found no more at all. And the voice of harpers, and musicians, and of pipers, and trumpeters, shall be heard no more at all in thee...for thy merchants were the great men of the earth; for by thy sorceries were all nations deceived. And in her was found the blood of prophets, and of saints, and of all that were slain upon the earth." Revelation 18:8.18:23-25.
If God does not protect a country she can easily become prey to her enemies. If a righteous country falls away to unrighteousness God may use another nation to judge her, just as he did to Israel of old for her sins. Even though Israel of old had multiplied her synagogues and had multiplied her battlements, she had lost God's protection through her disobedience to His voice. America may very well be in the same place of disobedience. God may very well be getting ready to judge America through her seemingly weaker Russian enemy. We should be suing for peace, not provoking our enemy to greater war.
In the prophecies of Ezekiel 39 God pronounces His judgment on Magog, an endtime power house which invades Israel. Some scholars believe the prophecies of Ezekiel could be referring to Russia. In any case, Magog falls because God says, "I will send fire on Magog, and among them that dwell carelessly in the isles." Ezekiel 39:6. If Magog is Russia with her nations of friends, could those who dwell carelessly in the isles be Great Britain, Australia, and Britain's offspring the USA and Canada?
We are in a fight between the ruling empire of USA and her adversary Russia whose friends are China and India. It seems we will all lose. Babylon the Whore will be destroyed and Magog and those that dwell carelessly in the isles will also be destroyed. The happy ending is that Christ will return and stop the war before men completely destroy the whole world and all mankind. The Bible predicts some 1/3 or more of mankind, if we are understanding correctly the prophecies, will die in that period of Great Tribulation followed by the Wrath of God.
Please pray for peace. Pray that the voice of peace will be heard. Let us put down the drums of war before it is too late. It may be already too late. Pray like eveything depended on prayer and spread the message of peace. God told the Jews to surrender to their enemy, but they would not. They thought God was on their side, but He was not. He had changed sides because of the depth of their sins.
Whose side is God on? Which side has forgotten their maker? Maybe both? Maybe God will use them both to destroy each other and the meek, the poor nations of the world, will inherit the earth. In the meantime many innocent will die. Sue for peace. Seek peace and pursue peace, says God's word. The peacemakers shall be called the children of God! Are you a peacemaker? Then pray!
