Proverbs 12 KJV
1 Whoso loves instruction loves knowledge: but he that hates reproof is brutish.
2 A good man obtains favour of the Lord: but a man of wicked devices will he condemn.
3 A man shall not be established by wickedness: but the root of the righteous shall not be moved.
4 A virtuous woman is a crown to her husband: but she that makes ashamed is as rottenness in his bones.
5 The thoughts of the righteous are right: but the counsels of the wicked are deceit.
6 The words of the wicked are to lie in wait for blood: but the mouth of the upright shall deliver them.
7 The wicked are overthrown, and are not: but the house of the righteous shall stand.
8 A man shall be commended according to his wisdom: but he that is of a perverse heart shall be despised.
9 He that is despised, and has a servant, is better than he that honours himself, and lacks bread.
10 A righteous man regards the life of his beast: but the tender mercies of the wicked are cruel.
11 He that tills his land shall be satisfied with bread: but he that follows vain persons is void of understanding.
12 The wicked desires the net of evil men: but the root of the righteous yields fruit.
13 The wicked is snared by the transgression of his lips: but the just shall come out of trouble.
14 A man shall be satisfied with good by the fruit of his mouth: and the recompence of a man's hands shall be rendered unto him.
15 The way of a fool is right in his own eyes: but he that hearkeneth unto counsel is wise.
16 A fool's wrath is presently known: but a prudent man covers shame.
17 He that speaks truth shews forth righteousness: but a false witness deceit.
18 There is that speaks like the piercings of a sword: but the tongue of the wise is health.
19 The lip of truth shall be established for ever: but a lying tongue is but for a moment.
20 Deceit is in the heart of them that imagine evil: but to the counsellors of peace is joy.
21 There shall no evil happen to the just: but the wicked shall be filled with mischief.
22 Lying lips are abomination to the Lord: but they that deal truly are his delight.
23 A prudent man conceals knowledge: but the heart of fools proclaims foolishness.
24 The hand of the diligent shall bear rule: but the slothful shall be under tribute.
25 Heaviness in the heart of man makes it stoop: but a good word makes it glad.
26 The righteous is more excellent than his neighbour: but the way of the wicked seduces them.
27 The slothful man roasts not that which he took in hunting: but the substance of a diligent man is precious.
28 In the way of righteousness is life: and in the pathway thereof there is no death.

El corazón de piedra tuvo que romperse para que el agua pudiera fluir y refrescar al pueblo. Dios promete dar a sus hijos, a su pueblo, un corazón nuevo. En Ezequiel 36:26-27 leemos: «Os daré un corazón nuevo y pondré un espÃritu nuevo dentro de vosotros; quitaré de vuestra carne el corazón de piedra y os daré un corazón de carne. Pondré mi EspÃritu dentro de vosotros, y haré que andéis en mis estatutos, y guardéis mis preceptos y los pongáis por obra».
En todas nuestras experiencias de vida, Dios obra en nosotros. Si se lo permitimos, si nos sometemos a él, él rompe nuestro corazón de piedra y lo transforma en un corazón de carne. Nos transforma y nos da un corazón nuevo para que podamos amar como él quiere que amemos. No egoÃstamente, para satisfacer nuestros propios deseos y necesidades, sino como instrumentos de Jesucristo. El mismo Jesús que se humilló para amar y salvar a los despreciables, a los indecorosos, a los maltratados y magullados, a los quebrantados y a los mutilados.
Golpe a golpe, experiencia tras experiencia, nuestro querido Señor obra en nuestro corazón de piedra. Moisés tuvo que golpear la roca antes de que el agua pudiera brotar para refrescar al pueblo. Aun asÃ, los castigos de Dios están diseñados para producir bondad en nuestras vidas. El magullamiento y aplastamiento de la flor produce la dulce fragancia del perfume. De la misma manera, el magullamiento y aplastamiento de nuestras vidas tiene como propósito producir la dulzura de Jesús en nuestras acciones y en nuestros labios.
Señor, ayúdanos a no luchar contra el magullamiento, el aplastamiento de tu mano. Ayúdanos a rendirnos a ti y a permitirte el control total. Porque el Señor a quien ama, castiga y azota a todo hijo que recibe. Ayúdanos a no despreciar tus castigos ni a desmayar cuando seamos reprendidos por ti. Ayúdanos a aceptar tus juicios. Ayúdanos a aferrarnos a ti con plena seguridad de fe, para que nuestro corazón de piedra se transforme plenamente en tus manos en un corazón de carne, un corazón capaz de amar como tú quieres que amemos. En el nombre de Jesús, oramos.

O coração de pedra precisava de ser partido para que a água pudesse fluir e refrescar o povo. Deus promete dar aos Seus filhos, ao Seu povo, um coração novo. Em Ezequiel 36:26-27, lê-se: “Dar-vos-ei um coração novo e porei dentro de vós um espÃrito novo; tirarei de vós o coração de pedra e dar-vos-ei um coração de carne. Porei dentro de vós o meu EspÃrito e farei que andeis nos meus estatutos, e guardeis os meus juÃzos, e os observeis.”
Em todas as nossas experiências de vida, Deus está a trabalhar em nós. Se o permitirmos, se nos entregarmos a Ele, Ele partirá o nosso coração de pedra e transformá-lo-á num coração de carne. Ele transformar-nos-á e dar-nos-á um coração novo, para que possamos amar como Ele deseja que amemos. Não de forma egoÃsta, para satisfazer os nossos próprios desejos e necessidades, mas como instrumentos de Jesus Cristo. O mesmo Jesus que se humilhou para amar e salvar os indignos de amor, os feios, os maltratados e feridos, os quebrantados e mutilados.
Golpe a golpe, experiência após experiência, o nosso querido Senhor trabalha nos nossos corações de pedra. Moisés teve de golpear a rocha antes que a água pudesse jorrar para refrescar o povo. Da mesma forma, as disciplinas de Deus têm o propósito de produzir o bem nas nossas vidas. O esmagamento e o ferimento da flor revelam a doce fragrância do perfume. Da mesma forma, as dificuldades e os sofrimentos nas nossas vidas têm o propósito de fazer emergir a doçura de Jesus nas nossas ações e nos nossos lábios.
Senhor, ajuda-nos a não resistir à s dificuldades e aos sofrimentos causados pelas Tuas mãos. Ajuda-nos a entregar-nos a Ti e a permitir que tenhas o controlo total. Pois o Senhor corrige e castiga todos os filhos que recebe. Ajuda-nos a não desprezar as Tuas disciplinas, nem a desanimar quando somos repreendidos por Ti. Ajuda-nos a acolher os Teus juÃzos. Ajuda-nos a apegar-nos a Ti com plena certeza de fé, para que o nosso coração de pedra seja completamente transformado nas Tuas mãos num coração de carne, um coração capaz de amar como Tu queres que amemos. Em nome de Jesus, oramos.

The Daily Voce – January 12, 2026
The heart of stone had to be broken before the water could
flow out to refresh the people. God promises to give His children, His people,
a new heart. In Ezekiel 36:26-27 we read, “A new heart also will I give you,
and a new spirit will I put within you: and I will take away the stony heart
out of your flesh, and I will give you a heart of flesh. And I will put My
spirit within you, and cause you to walk in My statutes, and you shall keep My
judgments, and do them.”
In all of our life experiences, God is working on us. If we
let Him, if we yield to him, He is breaking our heart of stone and transforming
it into a heart of flesh. He is transforming us and giving us a new heart, so
that we can love as He would have us love. Not selfishly, for our own desires
and needs, but as instruments of Jesus Christ. The same Jesus who humbled
Himself to love and save the unlovely, to save the uncomely, the battered and
the bruised, to save the broken and the maimed.
Blow by blow, one experience after another, our dear Lord
works on our heart of stone. Moses had to smite the rock before the water could
pour forth to refresh the people. Even so, God’s chastenings are designed to
bring forth good in our lives. The bruising and crushing of the flower brings
forth the sweet fragrance of the perfume. In the same manner, the bruising and
crushing of our lives is meant to bring forth the sweetness of Jesus in our
actions and on our lips.
Lord, help us not to fight the bruising, the crushing by
Your hand. Help us to yield to You and allow you full control. For whom the
Lord loves, He chastens and scourges every son whom He receives. Help us not to
despise Your chastenings, nor faint when we are rebuked of You. Help us to
embrace Your judgments. Help us to cling to You in full assurance of faith,
that our stony heart may be fully transformed in Your hands into a heart of
flesh, a heart able to love as You would have us love. In Jesus’ name, we pray.
